I have a 12 mini and 6s plus and happened to be browsing for videos using the plus and this video showed up. It is still usable. I just replaced the battery a year ago and on iOS 15, it doesn't run bad. Being a plus, it has OIS and it really helps on taking videos. However, it sucks at night as it cannot pick up a decent image without night mode. It can play games like COD although at low graphics settings (you can set it to medium setting but it will start to lag when playing) Edit: i love watching youtube videos on the 6s plus because of the native 16:9 aspect ratio and it is also 1080p
As a main phone, yeah I wouldn't use it. As a simple back up phone for calls and texts, most definitely. As something else for simple things -- like an iPod, alarm clock, voice recorder, even a basic point and shoot camera, absolutely.
Side note for my fellow humans that are trying to get out of debt - I'm selling my iPhone 14 Pro Max for $650-700 and bought a 6S for $67 on backmarket. Easiest way to simplify your life and shovel money against debt.
Imo the 6s is one of the best iPhones Apple has made. The jump in performance from the 6 was huge and it's held up pretty well to this day nearly a decade later with its performance and app support. You could definitely still rock a 6s as a daily driver with no issues as long as you have a good battery.
I remember my iPhone 6S battery going from 4-5 hrs of use on iOS 9 to 20 mins of use on iOS 15 as the battery health went down to the 60s but even after replacing I got 3-4 hrs of use on iOS 15
And that’s why so many peoples photos look generic, and the same as everyone else’s. Because all the great tech has made it so no one takes time in their photos anymore. They just take any garbage they can and post it just so they can post something. At least in those days, there was more creativity because people were forced to take time Photography is gone from being a beautiful art to just being people taking any shot. They can just because they can.
I have the 14 Pro and I recently refurbed a 6s with a new screen and battery....I haven't used one since 2017 but holy macaroni...I am shocked at how GOOD it is in 2024!? It's not even slow or anything, I could easily live on one even stuck on ios15
i used it as replacement after my pixel 4a5g dead on me (fixed now by me) while waiting for iphone 15 (not released at that time). even after my ip15 arrived, i still go back to 6s. so comfirtable to use with my small hand. if it's camera got all the sweet of latest software (like what google did with their pixel), no doubt, i will just use the 6s without getting the 15.
@@scavarestrovao6196 yup. I just updated my 4a 5g camera. “There is update for camera” click, it goes to play store, update. The processing is so good that i only need to take my kid picture once, without need to edit.
I got one that I use as a backup, typing from it now actually. For it’s age it runs very fast and somewhat holds a charge. Great to use as a iPod for music and social media.
I have my 6s since the start and am happy with it. I like the best option when I put it in my pocked the wieght doesn't pull my pants down like the newer models.
Anyone here still using the 6s, or used to have one? Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends by the way!
Im using the 7 haha
Just bought one, waiting on delivery
My iPhone 6s plus is in pretty good condition and lasts for most of the day.
I am still using it
@@Kitten_Cat333 Hi, what IOS are you currently running
Still using my iPhone 6S as my main and only phone. Works perfectly. Not changing anytime soon.
good luck

@@carmenwinstead693 I'm hoping. Everything functions as it has since release, so far.

I don't have the plus, but you are correct.

I am getting tired of all this hype. The average person does not even notice most of these pin pricking things
True I don't care about software update or anything like that that's why I'm switching back
If it can call and text then its good
Watching this with my 6s that currently had a Battery and Home Button replacement

I’ve been using the 6s sincerely 2017 og battery works fine typing on it right now

still using the 6s in 2023 but i hope to upgrade soon
Me too :)
My sister upgraded from the iPhone 6s to 15. The biggest upgrade she noticed was the speaker quality. That's it. lol

Nice phone, only thing i hate is battery life. But the phone is still very quick with almost any app.
The battery life isn’t truly awful. I had Apple replace the battery last year and it’s fine. Probably not much worse than an SE2 or SE3.

The brightness is way higher! More like 600nits
the camera is better respect to some androids of today😅
