    I infused dandelion into olive oil last spring and created a salve/lotion , I used it faithfully every day and ended up with the best tan EVER in my life and I'm 67, my only issue is, I didn't make enough to last me until this spring lol..... I also made a batch with chili pepper infused into it also for arthritis pain... it was awesome....

      Please tell about the chili powder. I have a friend with bad arthritis and due to kidney trouble she can't take arthritis meds. I'm hoping this will give her relief. Thank you.

      @@sbburbrink I simply added crushed chilli peppers (the kind you sprinkle on top of spaghetti) to the oil and dandelion and let it all infuse, I began with a tsp. and it didn't create enough heat to suit me, so next time I will add a full tbs of crushed chilli's.... I hope this helps

      @@hopesto did you use the entire dandelion or just leaves. A pint or quart jar for the chili peppers.? When you say not enough heat. Dies that mean it did not help with the arthritis?

    I am in the process of making dandelion salve. I hope it turns out. We typically make a Balm of Gilead salve and that stuff is really good I am finding out. I put it on a cold sore yesterday when I first noticed it and it killed it in its tracks in which felt like less then an hour I could tell it was done and was not going to progress for the typical 3-4 days of misery. Others we know have used it for Eczema and it was the only thing that ever worked for them. Nature rules, big business pharmy drools. Salves for life.

    Awesome video. Thank you. I have made a tinture olive oil &oregano. I have bees wax. I thought about combining my tincture with the bees wax and then adding something food grade with an awesome scent. Maybe even lemon zest. I wonder if that seems like it would work?

    Hello, just curious, what did you do to the other two cups of infused oil? You started out with four cups of oil in your dandelions. Did it cook down? Thank you. Your video was very helpful.

    Every spring I try this & every spring alllll the bending it took to pick all those pretty little flowers wrecks my back & I’m always left with *mostly* white fuzzies & very little actual yellow petals. 😞 I’ve tried laying them on a screen & drying in the afternoon sun, laying on my table overnight & a dehydrator ...only to get seed fuzzies. I can’t imagine the healing properties would be the same with all the fuzz vs. the beautiful yellow petals..? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Everyone says they need to be dry before adding to the oil but it’s the drying that makes them mostly white. (??) I don’t get how everyone retains the yellow petals once dry. (I LOVE Patchouli too❣️)

      @TheHomesteadingHousewife  ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm not sure unless the ones you pick are already close to changing to puff balls. I noticed a couple of mine were starting to turn, but I still threw them in. You can make the oil right away with them it's just going to have water content, so it will spoil faster. Since you are having this issue, I'd make the recipe then stick it in the fridge. That way it's going to last longer! You can also make tea with the freshly picked flowers

      They won't get dry to the touch. That's when they go white.
      Just leave them out for 24 to 48 hours. They still feel moist to the touch, but thats all you need.

      I wouldn't think so because they are giving all their nutrients during the first round of making salve
