Russ , my wife and I wish to thank you for all the effort you put into your videos . We have an RV ( a Roadtrek 19 Popular ) , she is disabled so we have not been traveling for 7 years . We enjoy your calm voice and your comments on what you see . You also use nice music in the background . You are a kindred spirit for us . God bless , we wait for every one of your videos .
Hi Russ, Thank you for taking your time for a longer video. It was nice to see places I may never go to. Longer video can show so much moor better then just 20 or 25 mintues. Taking your time and taping moor lets you not rush though it.
Drove down the coast on the way to Long Beach...my Viper was hard on gas, and I run out near CRESCENT CITY....drove back to Bellingham and flew down to Tijuana etc later on
Husband and I are really enjoying the Oregon coast on your channel! RVer TV is one of our favorites! Love that you show the small towns, story boards, history, back roads, commentary, etc. Great job! Thank you so much! !
Hi Russ...I grew up in Calif..I just love the oregon coast..ty ty ty for doing this..I haven't been there for a long time..This is almost as good as being there...🙂
I love the Oregon coast. I grew up in the Astoria Warrenton area. This brings back fond memories. Thank you so much for taking us a long Russ.Have safe travels
Cool how they lift the boats out of the water. Pacific City Oregon is where special dory fishing boats take a running charge at the beach and slide onto the sand so they can be trailer'ed away. Even around sunbathing beach goers. It's crazy. Almost nowhere else in the world they do that. The life boat station and museum at port orford is really cool but the highlight for me was the walk through a forest trail to a lookout. The forest up there is very beautiful. Glad to see your video here as it's a much needed escape for many of us from all the bad things going on in the world currently. You sure are lucky to be up there. Cheers and thanks for the ride-along. 👍
Hello from New Zealand. Love to watch your adventures. My bucklet list is to travel through the USA. And the flower at the begining is a Kniphofia Flamenco / Red Hot Poker / Torch Lily
Thank you Russ for getting up close to the flowers, always enjoy your videos, been watching for almost 5 years, and love your laugh,🤗 love love love love it!🌸🙋♀️K.C.
Enjoyed your drive into Bandon Lighthouse and Jetty. Those tree trunks must have been pushed on to the Jetty by the ocean waves. The craning of the boat out of water was very cool and your right; when would you get to see that in person and film it. Thanks for sharing.
Howdy Russ. Welcome to my neck of the woods. The Oregon Coast. In Langlois there is a store along the highway. They make their own Hot Dogs. They are amazing. Be safe
Wow Russ the Oregon Coast is great! I enjoyed the Port and the aLighthouse! You were very walking to the end of that Jetty! I couldn’t do it! Thanks so much! Look forward to the next leg❤️😀🇺🇸🚙
That plant you had never seen is called Red Hot Poker. Mother used to have those when I was a kid. Love your videos and all you do. Places I will never see that's for sure. 🥰💖
Russ, we've watched you for years and noticed you are walking more each year. I have been living in Tucson Arizona for several years; however I grew up in San Diego and dearly miss the ocean and bay (but not the craziness that has enveloped California). THANK YOU so very much for sharing the Pacific Ocean in Oregon - I can almost feel the water spray and smell the ocean.
Thanks Russ. You have inspired me - i am coming back to the US in late September and going to Arizona, Nevada and Utah after doing some work on the other side of the country.
Thank you for taking me to my childhood home, Bandon. My Mom painted several paintings of the Bandon Lighthouse and many seascapes of the area. Looking forward to more videos as you go up the coast. Enjoy
Those red & orange flowers are called Red Hot pokers. Beautiful, aren't they? Thanks for sharing the video! I hadn't been to the Pacific Ocean in over 9 years.. I sure miss going!
Great video, Russ. I live in Gold Beach. Those boats are not only lifted in and out of the ocean, the crew lives on them. They are on dolly,'s and connected to power and water when on shore. The Port provides restrooms with showers. Pretty Cool.
To see the boat being lifted up with the crew that was too cool for school thanks Russ the coast of Oregon is beautiful all the way up. I could live in any one of those towns.
Oh Russ..Didn’t want this video to end! It’s so beautiful and relaxing! This Mom came down with chicken pox of all things this week..yes..now the kids and Dad are taking care of Dr Mom! Lol! Can’t tell you how comforting and relaxing your videos are being right now.. Thank you so much ❤ Back to calimine lotion and oatmeal baths I go ;-) Can’t wait for your next video 😊
Thank you so much for all these great videos! Love each and every one ❤We have the edge of our front yard planted with red hot pokers, they always bloom here in Virginia around the first of June
You almost made it by my house in North Bend (by Coos Bay)! The red and yellow flower is a Red Hot Poker, I have some in my yard. You were wondering about the winters here…very mild, rarely freezes. MAYBE one day of a little bit of snow a year. And the summer, same..very mild. Like today is July 14 and when the rest of the country is burning up we are at a great 65! And that’s mostly what it is all summer! Love our beautiful Oregon Coast. Wouldn’t live anywhere else!
I have the plant app and it says if the top is more red it’s called red-hot-poker. If it is more orange it is called common red-hot-poker. Love the videos!
Love the video! The orange flower is a torch lily and you don’t need an app. If you take the photo on your iphone just go to the photo and scroll up. A definition will show up and it will say “plant look up plant”. You click it and it shows you everything. I will msg you a photo if it won’t let me add it here.
Yes 👍 indeed, I learned by photographing the flower or plant, or dog - often times you will get an ID of the item almost instantly. It’s a wonderful tool on the newer phones.
You should go see the 1949 wooden pipeline of Toketee Falls Oregon, that leaks all the time but is made to be that way. Hydroelectricity project and the 85-foot waterfall.
Next time you drive through Port Orford, you might stop at Mr Eds Underground Pub, a major attraction in Port Orford. Its where to get a pizza, And the areas live music venue. Locals performing 4 nights a week, people dropping in are welcome to take one of the 100 guitars hanging on the wall and play some music.
Yes 👍 I slowed the video down to observe Mr. Ed’s (on the right) when Russ drove past. I was curious what it was. Thank you for sharing what an interesting place it is. 100 guitars 🎸 on the wall! Wow.
Coquille is a cute little town! We spent many years during the summer in Oregon! Spent time golfing at Coquille Elks Golf course! Coos Bay another city!
That orange flower is something rocket. It grows from a bulb and can be found in most gardening catalogs. Back b4 I got so disabled I used to be an avid gardener.
Wish you had more time in Port Orford as you missed what I consider the highlights of the town. The heads State Park right in town has one of the most spectacular hiking trails on the coast. We also have a 100 acre fresh water lake right in town and some of the most beautiful beaches such as Paridise Point State Park. We have 3 state parks right here in town. Anyway, thanks for giving PO a visit.
I used to own a sailboat. Every three years or so, we'd need to haul it and have the bottom cleaned and new bottom coating applied. It was decades ago. I wonder if at some point, the economics favored this solution.

Thank you Russ. We can no longer travel so going along with you is great.
I love the Oregon coast. So clean. The citizens help clean up the beaches. They also dont litter❤
😅 yah, pack it in pack it out.
i got paid to drive this route for 9 years. Eureka to Port Orford. best job i ever had...
Thank you Russ for investing in quality camera gear for your viewership, the videos are breathtaking, really appreciated ❤
Hi Russ, Thank you for taking your time for a longer video. It was nice to see places I may never go to. Longer video can show so much moor better then just 20 or 25 mintues. Taking your time and taping moor lets you not rush though it.
The orange and red flower is called Kniphofia. Red hot poker flower
I could never get tired of driving through mountain switchbacks in the forest, or watching the waves pound the rocks. .
Drove down the coast on the way to Long Beach...my Viper was hard on gas, and I run out near CRESCENT CITY....drove back to Bellingham and flew down to Tijuana etc later on
That 72 degrees sounds real good to me 😊
Husband and I are really enjoying the Oregon coast on your channel! RVer TV is one of our favorites! Love that you show the small towns, story boards, history, back roads, commentary, etc. Great job! Thank you so much! !

Power of the ocean. Nice drive up the Oregon coast. Thanks Russ!
I love the Oregon coast. I grew up in the Astoria Warrenton area. This brings back fond memories. Thank you so much for taking us a long Russ.Have safe travels
As a scuba diver I always fascinated with how the oceans and creatures have evolved/changed over the millions of years 😊
There's very little that hasn't evolved over millions of years....
Coast Guard veteran here. I loved the lighthouse.
Cool how they lift the boats out of the water. Pacific City Oregon is where special dory fishing boats take a running charge at the beach and slide onto the sand so they can be trailer'ed away. I love old lighthouses. Living in Michigan, we have a ton of them. Russ, I loved your videos last summer on the lighthouses here.
I love mother nature, she's amazing, especially in the US.
Hello from New Zealand. Love to watch your adventures. My bucklet list is to travel through the USA. And the flower at the begining is a Kniphofia Flamenco / Red Hot Poker / Torch Lily
Great shot of hauling the boat up with the crane. Never seen that before.
Thank you Russ for getting up close to the flowers, always enjoy your videos, been watching for almost 5 years, and love your laugh,🤗 love love love love it!🌸🙋♀️K.C.
Humbug Mountain. Scrooge used to say BAA Humbug when talking about Christmas. Absolutely gorgeous video, Russ with the ocean pounding the shore.
Beautiful. I was in the Marion Forks area in 2017 for the eclipse and the pine smell at the campground was amazing.
Enjoyed your drive into Bandon Lighthouse and Jetty. Those tree trunks must have been pushed on to the Jetty by the ocean waves. The craning of the boat out of water was very cool and your right; when would you get to see that in person and film it. Thanks for sharing.

YES 👍 starting around 48:39 as Russ walks and river waves begin to sound. So nice to listen to, so beautiful to observe.
We have visited the Oregon coast and just love your videos. You have been getting some great weather. Thanks for sharing.
Wow Russ the Oregon Coast is great! I enjoyed the Port and the aLighthouse! You were very walking to the end of that Jetty! I couldn’t do it! Thanks so much! Look forward to the next leg❤️😀🇺🇸🚙

Port Orford looks like an amazing place to live. I believe RVDebs was headed out there at first. Great for sea kayaking!
Bandon is the best spot on the Oregon coast, especially the state parks off beach loop. Face Rock Viewpoint is a must see.
