    Well good video very detailed! Just a tip in the future always wear latex or nitrile gloves when replacing bulbs! Can save you tons of headaches! Keep up the good videos!

    Just put mine in. Very nice. Looks like they stay in when brights are on? Never really paid attention. Also that little orange part on outside of head light dies not light up correct? I guess it is a reflector. Never paid attention. Anyway big difference

      I'll have to check ours, I believe the low beams cut when the hi beams come on, but you can sure tell the difference between the white and yellow color.

      @@DachsAutos I like them so much I wanna change the drl lights and did lights. Have you done that yet?

    Nice HIGH BEAM bulb replacement.. the low beam bulbs are accessed via peeling back the plastic wheel wells, a bit more work involved to do those.

      @DachsAutos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These were the low beams actually! Very simple to access as shown in the video. Thanks!

      @@DachsAutos if that's true then the 15 Outback is SIGNIFICANTLY different than my 14 Legacy. Low beams are accessed through the wheel well as the OP stated.

      @@penguin12902 indeed. Photos don't lie, there were the low beams. I understand 15 had a number of changed from previous years

      @@DachsAutos that's awesome. I hate changing bulbs in my 14, glad to hear they changed it!

    Good Video!
    I'm probably going to do this for low's as well.
    - I run 9" HIDS for long range spot , but i need a wider closer beam.. these seem to be cheap and good solution.
    Also your spark plug job video is appreciated

      Thanks for the feedback! This LEDs are still performing well. We haven't done anything with the hi-beams yet, but time will tell if we change them out. Fog lights will likely be the next candidate as the LEDs nearly wash them out.

      @@DachsAutos Thanks for the upload! Just ordered my pair. How are they holding up?

    • @DachsAutos
      @DachsAutos  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@TheOneWhiteST They're doing quite well! They suffered thru a harsh Minnesota winter without fail and have been far superior to the dim factory bulbs!

    No headlight (driver side) adjustment ?

    • @DachsAutos
      @DachsAutos  ปีที่แล้ว

      If I recall, you can rotate the bulb in the fixture if beam adjustment is needed, but as I did not remove the headlight assembly, no readjustment of the fixture was needed.

    There is any difference between lights with ballast and without?

    • @DachsAutos
      @DachsAutos  ปีที่แล้ว

      I've found that your standard form LED lights that plug in like your standard bulbs aren't as bright as bulbs with an onboard ballast, or separate module. Others may have an opinion, that's just what I've noticed over the years.

    How are the Daylight driving now that you switched to LED?

    • @DachsAutos
      @DachsAutos  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Daylight is fine, as we do not use them in the light.

      Nobody has no. These aren't the obnoxious blue tint headlights. Regular old LEDs found in new factory optioned models. Nothing like I used to have in a previous vehicle.

      @@tommytfaa Indeed there are many types. My wife is happy with these over the factory halogens. I have a set of them in our F350. I was sent a set of Auxito LED lights to try in our Mustang - here's the link to that if you're interested; th-cam.com/video/NbGRiY4G0y4/w-d-xo.html

      Check out my video for the Auxito LED swap for our '98 Mustang. They are likely a solid alternative for the Glowtek units.
