As long as the LED lights are double the lumens is good enough, anything over, is bonus. But I always take into consideration of the on coming traffic because I am on the receiving end may times of those after market installation that only care about lots of lumens and 6000k++😢

A manufacturer’s claim of the % increase in brightness is seldom true. The only way to measure that is testing them using a brightness measuring tool. One TH-camr did a bunch of different bulbs comparing the halogens bulbs to the LEDs in both a projector style housing as well as a reflector type housing. Two things were apparent after the testing. One, the projector lowbeam housing with the LEDs performed slightly worse than the reflector style housing with the same LED bulb. Also every LED was tested for what % of brightness they were versus halogens compared to what the manufacturer said they were. None of the bulbs were as much of a % brighter than halogens compared to what they said, but some were closer than others. For instance one bulb that claimed 500% more light was actually only 178% more while another that was a claimed 300% more light was 247% more. Also some LEDs produced a beam pattern that was terrible while another LED left a better beam pattern. This review was good because you did the oncoming traffic point of view comparison. I would have liked to see the comparison of the length from the mounting tabs of the base to the back of the fan. My Highlander’s lowbeam housing has a mounting hole that doesn’t allow most if not all fan equipped LEDs to fit and that’s not the dust cover that won’t fit it’s the bulb’s fan that hits the hard plastic part of the housing that the dust cover screws into. It’s impossible to get the bulb to fit all 3 mounting tabs into the bulb hole which means the bulb is crooked in the projector and the light beam is scattered all over the place and dimmer than a 4 year old halogens bulb. Isn’t there a plastic cover in front of the wheel arch on the bottom that can be unscrewed to access the headlight bulb? There is on the 2017 to2019 Highlander but every video on TH-cam shows to pull the wheels inner fender and the wheel flare. A little heat is a good thing in colder climates to keep the lens from icing up but heat shortens the life of LEDs. 0:00

I tried LEDs with fans in my old pickup a few years back. They didn't last nearly as long as they claimed. After a year the bearings seized up and they overheated. Been running ones with heat sinks ever since without a problem. Another plus with the heat sinks is they are more compact so work great if you have limited depth to mount them in.

I've been using Lasfit LCPlus for a while. I switched the Auxito Q16, and what a difference! Much brighter and wider beam. As for the gloves, I thought it was supposed to use it while lights are one, and make sure it was set up properly. Since the fans get hot as hell!

I would kept the LC plus for low beams and Q16 for high beams.

@@user-rq9ud6sl8lthan I would highly recommend Lasfit - LA plus for ur headlights.
For ur dog lights, get Lasfit - LD plus switchback. I have them in my H11 switchback and I love them.
But I also have Lasfit - anti-flicker or resistor.
Because from my understanding, I see people use switchbacks and had some issues whether they had them and then stock working, or they start flickering. Or whatever the issue is.
Hopefully Lasfit already solve the problem.
So I went with on a safe zone, and get myself Lasfit LD plus switchback H11, with Lasfit - anti flicker.
U gotta make sure u mount them both external driver of the LD plus and the resistor, mount them on the metal frame for best heat dissipation as possible. That’s what u want.
And I also highly recommend, get ur hands with Morimoto - green dielectric grease. I think Amazon has them.
What it does is u put an extra barrier, to prevent moisture or water, from getting in to ur connectors.
It’s basically a cheap insurance to protect ur investment.
So even if it’s water proof, it can still potentially ruined ur led bulbs. Depends on what area u live in.
So if the braided cable is exposed into the elements, use the dielectric grease between the connectors.

Get the Morimoto green dielectric grease for to seal the connectors, so the moisture will not get in the bulb.
I want to protect them at all cost for to keep the reliability and longevity going.

I have used Lasfit and Hikari, Hikaris are more expensive, but both are very bright. If your vehicle uses the low beams as day time running lights, than the Lasfit will last about a year and a half or so, if not, they'll easily last 3+ years. I haven't had the Hikaris long enough to tell you how much they last, but they supposedly last at least 5 years. My wife's MDX has had the Lasfit for two years, fog lights, low and high beams with no issues.

@@LEGEND04131 that’s true but here’s the thing. When it comes to DRL light system. Sometimes on drl lights, especially with led. They can flicker. I say that because the 5th gen 4Runners have the only most common for when it comes to two modes. A DRL function, and high beam function. When they install a high beam? It started to flicker. So putting a anti-flicker system helps to prevent flickering as well. Not just the turn signals.
Like mine. I have a 2015 lifted Scion xB with Lasfit - LD Plus switchback. I seen other 5th gen 4Runner with switchbacks with no issues. Especially on mostly Toyota. And I seen others on GM, Dodge with very sensitive canbus system.
My xB doesn’t have that high tech.
But since I have two modes of 6000k and 3000k. I use lasfit anti-flicker system as well. Not just for flickering. But I don’t want to come across with color shifts. So play safe for that.
Same goes to 2017 Toyota sienna le. Both 5th gen 4Runner and 3rd gen sienna use high beams as DRL’s. Well it also use turn signals as DRL and it’s an automatic system, wether if it decides to use turn signals or high beams as DRL’s.
So in conclusion, having a anti-flicker system on high beams that our vehicles uses as DRL function is necessary to prevent it.

% better brightness is almost always. BS. In another video they used a measuring device to compare % of brightness between a halogen and several LEDs in both projector style and reflector style lowbeam housings. None of the bulbs were the % brighter compared to the Halogens that they claimed and some weren’t even much brighter at all. Some were close but none matched their claim. Also the LEDs all were brighter in a reflector housing than they were in a projector style, once again some close and others quite a bit of difference. I wish you would have compared the length of the bulbs from the mounting tabs to the back of the bulb’s fan as my2017 Highlander’s lowbeam housing doesn’t allow any H11 LEDs with fans to fit inside. Some heat would be nice in colder climates to keep the headlight frost and snow free but heat also shortens LED lifespan. The 2017-2019 Toyota Highlander has the worst lowbeam performance I have ever seen. In fact you can’t even tell the light is on in a dark and rainy night. This sucks because this vehicle could use a brighter LED. I’ve wasted over $200 on LED bulbs that I was told would fit in the housing but don’t and the last company told me he quarantined they would fit because they were more compact but they don’t fit, only 2 of the three tabs will go in because the back of the fan hits the hard plastic of the housing. The spare O rings are probably thinner or thicker O Rings to make fitting them easier ( I tried the thinner halogen o rings on the LEDs I have but that didn’t work either ). The company refused to refund me for these.
