Hi i live in south africa i have a security company and our main focus is anti-poaching i have recently bought a new ford ranger and i am in need of some good lighting as most of our work is done at night thanks for the great show guys keep it up
My son bought his first car and is quickly learning how much it costs to mod a 4x4. He is working part time and puts most his money towards his car. He is currently saving some coin to put toward a set of lights and mate, he would be so chuffed opening a surprise box with Stedi Type X Evos in there!!!! Love your vids, keep up the great work......
This vid came at a perfect time, I turned 18 early april, and all within a week got my license, bought my hilux, and drove up to work in the Kimberly. Now I've been up here for a bit I'm looking to upgrade the old lightbar that is on the Lux, and the stedi's would be absolutely ideal for both the roads up north here, and back home in the Victorian highcountry!
Love your channel. Research shows that the light levels for older adults should be increased by at least 50% over those needed by younger people. As someone in my mid 70’s, who still enjoys off road driving, I really need these LED lights to replace my Cibie Oscars which seem to be getting dimmer as I age.
Finally someone who knows what they are talking about. Being saying similar for years. I am looking at a set of these for our school bus I drive in the upper murray. Deer are hard to see at night, and when driving back from Albury to Corryong, it's a challenge seeing them. We have a cheap set until our finances mean we can donate a set to the community bus we use.
Your spotlights are turned off more times than on On the highway up there Waste of time if you drive on major highways Just too much traffic to use them properly
It’s not the fact I need new ones it’s more so the fact I don’t have any at all !! Been trying to build my truck on a budget. Have done acouple trips and had to rely on the spot lights of the vehicles in front which ofc has led to afew punctures and other sorts of damage. Not ideal at all so the have had to put more mods on hold to cover the repair costs ! Have been waiting for the new stedi spotties to come out and have been trying to save a dollar where I can to one day afford them 👌🏻 love the show and all the advice and tips you guys give !! Keep it up
Great video and very informative. Since the birth of our daughter a few weeks ago I’ve started to rethink how our vehicle is set up for camping and touring. Previously I hadn’t really considered driving lights an essential requirement but now, anything I can do to make travel safer for my family is a good thing. We are planning a road trip from Newcastle to Tassie later this year and the Stedi’s would be a very welcome addition. Best of luck everyone!
Hey mate. Planning the same trip (from Sydney not Newcastle) it will need to be short though. Do you reckon 7 nights in Tasmania is enough to see much of the island?
Fello 80 driver here!!!!!! I’m planning on doing my first cape trip and my cheap dull spotties have shit the bed and decided to go on their own holiday so these will save me a few tanks of fuel, probably the best tanks of fuel I’ll do yet 🤘🏼 cheers legend
Bought my first fourbie which is a Prado. Will be driving to Rockhampton from Brissy every weekend, to see my kids, and usually at night or dawn. Set of these bad boys sure would make me live longer mate. Haha! Cheers.
Let’s be honest, none of us NEED these spotties, but they are wicked cool and anyone on here would be stoked on them! This would be my first Aussie product as I live in the states. Always love seeing what these Aussie companies are making for the fourbie community
speak for your self mate, if you live outside of the city or spend a lot of time there you NEED spotlights, unless you only drive in daylight. My truck has spots and light bar, all our other cars have light bars.
@@yarpos so what spotties do you have on your rig? I didn’t say spotties weren’t needed, I said these high dollar spotties aren’t needed. Most I’ve seen run the cheap Amazon specials. Why I said anyone would be stoked to get this set.
@yarpos Part of his reply is in USA "we can not run them on road" legally. I've got a mixture of floods and " spotty's " on my "fourbie's" no "Roo's" to run in roads but whitetails, moose, antelope, cattle ect ect. . Hitting a moose can be deadly in N. America. Another Yank here, that follows a few 4 Wheel things from there... 👍
Speak for yourself, I NEED BOTH SPOT AND FLOOD LIGHT for night driving. Here you have cows, sheep, reindeer and elk that run out into the road or just stand in the middle of the road blocking it with an entire reindeer flock. If I do not have good lights I would have to drive snow as snail, with good lights I can actually see them better during the night then in the day.
Shoutout to Shauno and the 4WD 24-7 team. For the opportunity, living my dream. If I win those Stedi spoties, you'll see, My 7-year-old son, he'll be screaming with glee. Ever since he watched your thousand buck track, My little man's been hooked, ain't no turning back, He's a fan of the show, knows every line, And winning those spoties would truly be divine.
Great video Shauno, very well put together and timely as I’m just scouting the internet looking at the many options of LED driving lights after hitting a roo at 90km/h at night. The mighty Pajero survived the impact luckily but certainly made me realize it’s time for a set of spot lights!
Great show and very informative. You mention IP68 and 3m of water but the thing most people don't consider is driving down the highway at 80km/h in pouring rain, this is when you are going to get potential ingress as the speed forces the water in every hole. Another is a hot light being splashed with cold water, hot lights expand increasing the opportunities for water ingress. IP68 or IP69 tested and certified is the only answer to this and Stedi have stood by their products for many years ensuring your money is well spent. Love the channel and a set of Stedi lights would look fine on the front of my Everest.
Love the video Shauno! My fourbie needs a fair few upgrades as it's quite stock and not having to save up for a set spotties would be a dream, especially for daily driving as most of my driving is during the night and the normal headlights need a helping hand! Keep up the great work!
Cleared up alot of myths, Cheers. Living 30km out of down down a track with the regular dive home at night a set of spotties are a must, but the price of living is limiting the mods to the car. Every month i try to pack the family up and head off the beaten track to find free camps and cool farm camps for the weekend, usually arriving pretty late trying to dodge the roos, so it would be nice to se them before hitting them.
Just brought my first car and it needs a a new set of everything 🤣. Good old Toyota Hilux KZN165. A set of new spotties would let me be able to spend some money on other parts. Keen to get out bush with some mates when the cars done 🤙🏼
Recently bought an LN106, currently rebuilding her, shes stripped sanded and about to raptor line, it already has some ebay special lights on there and lets be honest, its that slow it wouldnt pull the skin back on my old fella, i reckon i could drive in the dark and not need to worry about hitting anything at the speed the old girl achieves but a couple of flash new spotties would still be a nice addition to the rebuild, great vid shauno, legend.
Just purchased my first 4x4. These spotlights would take my 4x4 to a whole new level. I would use these spotlights especially for driving on beaches like up at double island point and out on old country roads. Cheers!
Just bought my first car, A Mitsubishi Triton. Was driving home after first buying it and by mere dumb luck a big roo jumped out in front of me, and thought it great to stop in the middle of the road. Nearly had some dinner, had the breaks not just been done. Less than an hour owning the car haha. A nice set of spotties may be helpful avoiding this and great for a planned Cape Trip. Best of Luck everyone!
Have grown up always opting for the kings lights as they’re all which was affordable in my budget. I have always told dad he should get some spotties for his car because he has never had any. I really think would make his driving safer then ever before; I really wanna give back to the man they gave back most to me.
I've just purchased a 2003 Gu3 wagon with 351k Kms on the clock. I can desperately do with some lights, but since the car was over budget I had to really stretch to get it and therefore can't afford those amazing Stedi's which I reckon would look amazing in front of my rig. Would be stoked to get my hands on them. Also you guys are awesome, never miss a show! Thanks!
I NEED THOSE SPOTTIES SHAUNO because I moved to the US and I just bought a 1994 Toyota 4runner, or Hilux surf as they're called back home. Its stock as a rock in mint condition so I can't wait to get it ready for the tracks out here. I watch all of your videos and it makes me miss home so much, thats why I went and got me a fourby! Might even tag a pic of the rig for beers in the shed when she's ready!
Finally a lighting video with some accurate info, I'm so sick of seeing all the posts saying "lightbars are for spread and round lights are for distance" Should have also touched on the illegal and dangerous low beam LED bulbs lots of 4wds run these days blinding everyone on the road, and proper use of fog and spot lights
Just got a new job where I need to drive 4 hours away on rural roads at night. These would be perfect to install onto my grille guard! My friend hit a deer recently on the same road, so I’m hoping to see them so I can avoid the same fate. Thanks for a great video!
To be honest Shauno, I don't even have any LED lights, my dad is too tight on money that he saids he'll never get a pair. We just got a camper that we love going to places with but when driving the long tyring straight roads at night, it's so obvious that just our standard driving lights are nowhere near what we need. the Stedi type X Evo would help out so much and would make the trips around the places a whole lot safer aswell. Hopefully I could be considered in the competition. Cheers Shauno and the rest of ya
Yet another quality Australian product those lights. They look far superior compared to other lights out there. I'm restoring a 1993 pajero swb with my old man. He's now getting out of navigational rallying but I'm now getting into it. Getting these lights would get me closer to having my dream rig rally ready.
I took my old lightforce lights off because I thought they were restricting airflow causing the overheating problem I had, in that time they were off the ex missus took em and sold em, now I have none, would love a new set so I can blind her on the road next time we meet haha
Here good lights is a must have for night driving with sheep, elk, reindeer and cows blocking the road at random... Looong time ago I was driving at night and a rather large flock of reindeer was blocking the road and I did not see them because of the poor lights on my 1993 model Opel Astra, I had to drive slalom between them while slowing down, and I did miraculously avoid hitting any of them. After that I mounted two Hella Rally 3000 and put in 100W halogen bulbs in them, and my car`s dynamo was giving out 14,8v so it was a LOT more then 100W :) Best lights I ever had, they was even more powerful then 50W Xeon. Only now with 170w LED`s I see lights that give the same distance and spread of light. With the 100W bulbs in the Rally 3000 you could see a wooden power poles at 1,500m distance along the road (I turned the lights upside down to give less light to near the car, that also help give more distance ).
Forced to medically retire after 33 years as a first responder. So we are building a touring rig and going camping. Set of Stedi spotlights would help make this the perfect build
Recently purchased a hilux cant wait to check out some of the unreal locations suggested by you guys! Im a disability support worker and as soon as my clients seen my new vehicle they started planning weekends away, on the tracks and camping! A fresh set of spotties would make it that little bit brighter 😉♥️ Never stop what your doing 👌
My partner and I just bought our first ever 4WD after years of dreaming and talking about it! We're so excited to get it fully set up for touring...our bank account is significantly less excited 😂. Winning a set of Stedi's would be a huge savings that we can put towards the long list of mods to go and quality recovery gear. Either way, we have both learnt so much from this channel and it's given us the nudge of confidence (however misplaced) to take a more hands-on approach with our build so we can continue to learn as we go 😁
These spotties would be a total game-changer for my nav when I'm tearing up the beach and the sun goes down, these bad boys would become my own personal sun lighting up the sand and keeping me safe and letting me enjoy the view and also show off a little. Believe me once I try em I'll never want to hit the beach without em.
Hey mate, me and all my mates love watching your videos when I watched this video I couldn’t pass up the chance. My dads got a Toyota Land Cruiser and we both love it, we putting all the energy and effort into making it all rigged up. I’ve been looking all around trying to find hight beams like this. I reckon he be over the moon if I could get these for him. Thank you for give me this chance.
Got a set of LED driving lights of a mate and was assured they were good quality only to start have issues within a month of having them on the car. Things that went wrong was they would flicker on and off when driving along a lightly corrugated road, one or the other would intermittently turn off then back on of its own accord. I have had an auto elec look at them but due to financial constraints can’t afford to replace them. Cheers
Your 4x4 videos inspired me to get a 4x4 myself. I am slowly building it up for more longer trips to explore the beauty that Ausie has to offer. With these lights night driving would be another amazing sight to see and keep us safe in the Ute.
I need a set of spotlights as I do a lot of driving out to my grandparent's house to drive them to the doctor for my granddad (about once a week). They live out rural a bit so there's a lot of kangaroos on the road and the drives home are often in the first few hours of the night when they are most active! I also got my first child on the way (daughter) so these would be great to help keep my self and my family safe driving to and from the doctors every week.
Shaun, we are in the process of waiting for our MUX to arrive. As an older (seniors) couple we know that some really good spotlights are going to be an absolute must. Our eyes aren't that great at night. 😂😂😂. We have been talking about spotties and my goodness these are some good-looking spotties. Hope we are in with a chance.
Hi 24/7 Crew, Life for me is about to change big time. I've always been happy driving the missus car with the standard headlights, but that's all about to change with our first child due today(22nd) The more light the better to help us see down the road further to protect our little growing family.
Doing a chopped 80 build as a 16 year old and anything helps the build out. The video was super helpful and will definitely consider all this when buying lights
Another very critical point about cheap led lights is the interference they can cause to modern electronics eg radio, two way and computers, hence the reason I don’t currently have any extra lighting.
My brother is just starting rebuilding his Hilux and a good set of lights would make the most awesome gift, and save quite a lot of $$. Thanks for the vid, I learned a lot!
22 years living in the Kimberley, traveling the entire region and in to the NT and Pilbara regularly. Recently retired the the trusty (rusty) old GU and bought a 70 series but no driving lights….I can’t stress enough how important a decent set of driving lights are to assist with fatigue and safety. Help a brother out so I can get back on the road sooner.
I've just bought my first newer car 2 weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to have a bulbar previously installed. I am heading up to Townsville for a camping trip with a few of the lads from work, well be up there for a fair while, I've had a few encounter with kangaroos in my old 75 series and one of the last roo's I saw took out my whole front end. If that happened to my new car i would be devastated. So a set of spotties on the front would do wonders for me. Great video Shauno, loving the content.
Just got my dream car, a 200 series! Been waiting many years. Now it may be 10 years old but it is immaculate. Unfortunately it has an old light bar that you almost can't even tell if its working. Having upgraded my old Paj from a light bar to LED spots I am wanting to do the same with the 200. Can't wait.
Back in 1971 I bought a pair of Miller driving lights to put on my EK Holden, in preparation for a Nullabor crossing. Compared to the EK candles, those first 55W halogens were fan-bloody-tastic. Halogens ruled for a very long time until LEDs took over. There are plenty of good LED lights, but also plenty of crap ones to avoid.
Financially struggling need a set for my triton as my Mrs uses it to drive my kids back and fourth from Willa Kempsey to home lots of roo's and crap weather, side note, massive fans keep up the good work and great entertainment learnt a lot 👍👍👍
Bought my first fourbie not long ago and just try to deck it out right the first time so theres no mucking around and I get the absolute best out of my vehicle performance and touring wise
My wife and I have worked hard to finally have a new prado on order. Can’t wait!! We live semi rural and we do a fair amount of night driving. A set of lights is on the wish list for obvious reasons (visibility, safety) but will have to wait longer now with interest rates etc. 🤞
I have recently bought an 80 series cruiser as my first car. It came with old rusty IPF spotlights that didn't work, and I have been looking for new ones ever since
Cheers Shauno. I've recently bought my first 4wd and just took it out for its first camping trip last night! Super exciting. I don't have spotties yet and so after the sun set I was relying on my normal headlights to see where I was going. Pretty sketchy. I realized then that spotties are the next thing that I need for my 4wd. Would love to win some! Cheers. Loving all your videos. Will
im on a slow build on my vehicle taking my time I still haven't made my mind which spotties I'm going to get, but these stedi sppoties have surprised me 1 spot and the other flood haven't came across any other company with such great innovation.
Mate, love how tech just keeps pushing everywhere we look! These stedis look incredible, would make a massive difference to my early morning High country commutes to work. Those Roos are mental.
theses videos are awesome just what I needed to hear. why I need them is because I have got two blow bulbs in my old one and need something to replace. as my Wof said they needed fix. Best of luck to everyone!!!!!
Why do I need a new set of spotties? Easy, I am getting myself a Van (Iveco Daily) for a DIY conversion to a Motorhome so I can become a Grey Nomad and explore more of our Great Country. Am not retiring the GU Patrol ute 4.2TD just yet. Good work Shauno, Keep the shiny side up. Cheers, Bryce.
Hey mate, been watching your videos and they are deadly to watch. I would love those spotties as I crontract on stations in the Gawlers ranges and as you can imagine the roos are like ants down this way! Keep up the work boss 👍🏽
i bought some Stedi EVO spotty and spread beam Lights, and had them shipped to me in the USA. Holy Crap are they bright! Some of the best lights I've ever had!!!
Personally, here in the UK we don’t struggle with the surprises of animals leaping out of the roadsides, we’re lucky I guess! Brilliant video explaining the different variations of lights Shauno. These lights would be class for my farm truck in the winter finding the cattle, the lux would definitely appreciate them so would my eyes! Either way great video, I’ll definitely try get myself some one day.
Well sadly I live in Nashville Tennessee. But I still want to say I’d love to own a set of stedi lights someday for my 5th gen 4runner. I’ve got an arb bumper and have some good rigid 6” lights that I love. But stedis are my dream lights. I love y’all’s show and am forever grateful for it. It’s gotten me through some rough times the last few years and I’m forever grateful for y’all’s insight and love for off roading. Someday I’m coming to Australia and would love to at least meet you guys! Keep doing what you are doing!
I'm building a 4wd drive with my dad and some new lights especially in rural Queensland would be amazing. BTW I'm 14 and I'm paying for most of our new 4wd even tho it's like 4k lol
I have all ready got a stedi light bar, but I don't want to see the birds sleeping in the top of trees I want to see the road, I want lights that that shine up what iam driving on. Years ago I had on the truck rails 2000 wow they were great. Evo lights look just what I need. 48 years driving interstate trucks experience now retired now 73 still love driving. Yours faithfully. Peter Best. Ps love your 4x4 show, thanks for telling me about the light.
I just came back from a trip from Meandarra I have the bullbar but not the spotlights. 3am in the morning I lost count of the amount of kangaroos I saw. This video is a great source of information for people looking to buy, thanks Shauno.
Just got myself a new 4wd and wanting to kit it up and complete the big lap, these lights would be a amazing addition to my new rig. Once again awsome and informative video glad to see some scientific fact in there as well
I could definitely use a set of those! They would have prevented me driving my Ford F150 into a pond as I crested a hill following my friend's up a trail that literally went around the edge of the pond I came up the hill and didn't see it in time and dunked my front end in the water luckily the Boyes were quick to hook up to us and pull us out before my motor took on water! We saved my truck but what if I was alone I would have lost my truck! Love the show guys keep up the Great work!
We haven’t yet put any driving lights on our Troopy but have upgraded the headlights to Stedi’s - after a few night drives on country back roads & night beach driving on Fraser Island we definitely need a good set of Stedi Driving Lights 🙌 Love the Channel - definitely better than Netflix 👍😜
Shaun I’ve done exactly what you talked about.. bought a cheaper set of spotties which were good initially but now are failing and brackets etc are rusting due to poor quality. Love to be driving with a good quality set 👍
Hi Jarrod! Congratulations - you have won our STEDI Type Evo's Giveaway! Please shoot a message to our Facebook page with a screenshot of this comment & we'll sort you out. If we don't hear back in the next 24 hours, we'll have to re-draw or save it for the next one!
When u fit HUGE spotlights to the front u can overheat your engine if towing and fitted with bullbar . Does not occur every time but there are many vehicle warranty claims refused as a result . Approved or highly vented bullbar with alot of thought into spotlight/LED bar placement is the way to get around potential issues .
Had a head on collision on Tuesday morning heading to work a lady turned in front of me and I had no where to go, so I could use a new set of Spotties on my new 4wd when I get one 👌👌
A couple comments; - IP68 is 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. Note that IP69 (the "9" being better than "8") means it meets 8 and in addition, it can survive high pressure jets of water (for example, if you wash the lights with a pressure/wand washer). The highest rating is IP69K which means "high pressure / high temperature jets of water". If you use hot water pressure washers on your lights, you'll want IP69K rated. - heat coming out of the back of the lights is GOOD. It means that heat is not getting trapped inside the light. Good engineering means that heat will be transferred away from the LED and out to the atmosphere. If you compare 2 lights with equal number and wattage of LEDs, the one with MORE heat coming out of the heat fins is better. Both are generating the same amount of heat internally but one is better at getting rid of that heat than the other one. The one with cooler heatsink fins means that the heat is not being pulled away from the LEDs as well, which will lead to failure or at least yellowing of the LEDs (excess heat can actually change the chemistry of the LEDs, resulting in a yellower light rather than bright white).
I just had a cracking Heart Attack and I'm really feeling the pinch because I can't be heading out for a couple months. What I CAN do though, is watch 4WD24/7 episodes with my daughter and work on some light mods (Pun intended!). I'd LOVE to be adding some awesome new lights to the rig!!!
Heading on a overdue road trip with a mate in November. I’m heading East in WA from Coolgardie to Hyden on a 4by track these spot lights would be a huge help to dodge the Roos. Keep up the good work lads, love the episodes.
Only 17 and just got my first 4wd, really keen to get it out on the tracks, but a nice set of spotties would make a world of a difference with the old gq candles
Hi guys, we’re only a couple of weeks away from picking up our new Ranger Sports and then to slowly start fitting it out. The info in here has certainly helped me out, I’m trying to watch as many of your videos to help us select what’s right for our 4x4… Keep it up and the giveaways certainly help as the costs these days are getting out of hand.
I’d love these lights to go on my first 4x4 . I just picked up a grandpa spec 93 80 series petrol cruiser. It’s bare bones and I’m on a budget . No mods no big lift it’s stock as a rock 😎😎
This light is just what we were looking for to help, a rescue ambulance team back home Horn of Africa, to transport patients from village to city. Where roads do not exist. Will be happy with a discount code. Spaceman 64 gets my vote.
I have a light bar mounted on the roof spoiler on my 3,2m tall Ford Transit box van, but even mounted that high it give way to much light right in front of the car and it do not light up the road farther away so I pretty much never use it. I have now bought 2 more of the 25W high beam halogen alike LED lights that came with the car when I bought it that is mounted in the grill of the car in front. They work great to light up the road far ahead and give not to much light right in front of the car. Will mount them up high on the spoiler to give even better reach ahead together with two 170w LED high beam lights with many smaller LED and reflectors (hope they are better then the light bar that have way to much spread).
If I were to win the lights, I’d gift them to my lady. After saving for a year, she just got her first 4WD (a Toyota) and she’s itching to get out on the trails with us in her own rig. I originally had eBay lights on my truck, but after they failed in a short period of time, I decided to spend by the money on some High quality lights. Seeing the difference first hand has us both convinced for her to not make the same mistake, and save for the high quality lights the first time around.
Hey mate, good to see some straight up, no bs info on lights. We recently installed a Stedi curved light bar on one of the trucks at work and WOW 😵😵 the difference it makes! Probably the best light I've seen.. So yeah time to upgrade the old halogen spotties on my car. Keep up the great vids mate 👍🏻
Hi I am 23 and just picked up my first project. I got myself a 2008 Toyota Land Cruiser j120 and would love to start it off with a bullbar and those lights would be awesome on it. Love the videos and I’m a fairly new subscriber and your channel has really helped me learn more about what to get for my build🤙🏽
I need a set of Spotlights to enhance visibility in my 4x4, especially in off-road and rural areas with poor lighting conditions. They help navigate rough terrain, identify obstacles, and improve night driving by illuminating a wider area and spotting animals, pedestrians, and other vehicles outside the range of standard headlights. These benefits make 4x4 vehicles more efficient and safer in challenging environments.
Hello Gentlemen. Long time fan first post. It's likely been mentioned already but I didn't see it yet but LED alignment within the reflector is another huge indicator on the quality of Spot and Flood LEDs. Keep up the inspirational work! From Colorful Colorado in the states! Be well.
great to see your trying to help people while plugging your pocket with those awesome looking stedi units. It may be a good idea to inform people about road regs when it comes to Lights, here in vic if they are forward of your "B" piller or behind or above your bull bar bar they are considered camping lights and the switch must not be able to be reach by the the driver while driving, This why I need the Stedi lights because I got defected and had to disconnect my roof mounted light bar which doesn't fit my bar, those steady units would make my rig shine day and night. keep the information coming, well done .
I think I need them because I’m always leaving early to go to the gym in the hills where there is no traffic just lots of Roos and they love to jump out. This product would be a great product for my Toyota cheers guys
My reason for needing the spotties is my old 1985 75 series farm truck still has the stock headlights which really don’t do much at all. I’m gradually building the truck up bit by bit and some spotties would save me a lot. Cheers
Np300 is out and the new 63 has arrived! Need a set of new candles to light the path to get me home to watch the weekly episodes! Love the content guys
Smoked a roo on the way to work 3 months back. Didn't have a bull bar or spotties. Both probably coulda changed the outcome. Got the Colorado back now with a bullbar, just looking to pull the trigger on some lights. These STEDIs would definitely do the work!
I’m not going to lie mate, I’m making a Rally Mazda 3 2009 hatch, and so far it’s going well and I’ll be going up to Nowra next year to give her a test on the Sydney tracks to Wollongong. The Spot lights would definitely be a fine addition to her
I use spotties to avoid moose (Canada), and your rig is totalled if you hit them. Looking to upgrade mine after breaking the mounts and having to cut the wires, to keep my panels from getting ruined by 4kg lights bouncing around.
Being a new owner to the 4x4 scene I’m learning a lot about them and know lights are an integral part of the setup. I would love to get a set of these beasts because we are also outfitting a tradies trailer to become a camper trailer so we can get it to the specs we want. Winning these lights would be awesome! Also look forward to camping in the warmer months so a lot of inner land driving.
Hi i live in south africa i have a security company and our main focus is anti-poaching i have recently bought a new ford ranger and i am in need of some good lighting as most of our work is done at night thanks for the great show guys keep it up
Baja Designs S2 Squadron pro with UV lenses.
I want Stevie wonder to see me coming
This vid came at a perfect time, I turned 18 early april, and all within a week got my license, bought my hilux, and drove up to work in the Kimberly. Now I've been up here for a bit I'm looking to upgrade the old lightbar that is on the Lux, and the stedi's would be absolutely ideal for both the roads up north here, and back home in the Victorian highcountry!

Yes me too, what you said.😂
Finally someone who knows what they are talking about. Being saying similar for years.

We have a cheap set until our finances mean we can donate a set to the community bus we use.
I’m an apprentice so having a pair of spotties would help me out a lot especially on the 2nd hand canopy I just bought
Why?
Planning on doing a trip up to cairns in august from the central coast and many more after that 😁
Your spotlights are turned off more times than on
On the highway up there
Waste of time if you drive on major highways
Just too much traffic to use them properly
I’m using a set of 5 year old kings spotlights and love night driving. Really need these Stedi lights!!
@yarpos
Part of his reply is in USA "we can not run them on road" legally.
If I win those Stedi spoties, you'll see,
My 7-year-old son, he'll be screaming with glee.
Ever since he watched your thousand buck track,
My little man's been hooked, ain't no turning back,
He's a fan of the show, knows every line,
And winning those spoties would truly be divine.
"LED diode" ? LED already means Light Emitting Diode
I brought my lights 6 yrs ago and they have come so far since then. I love the stedi lights cause I can get blue bling 💙
Finally a lighting video with some accurate info, I'm so sick of seeing all the posts saying "lightbars are for spread and round lights are for distance"
Should have also touched on the illegal and dangerous low beam LED bulbs lots of 4wds run these days blinding everyone on the road, and proper use of fog and spot lights
Getting a new Navara and building it into a tourer and hard core 4WD, Love the show been watching it for ages, it's the reason I started 4WDing
A fresh set of spotties would make it that little bit brighter 😉♥️
Never stop what your doing 👌
Cheers
I just brought my first 4x4 and am sooo excited to get it off road ready… these lights are what I need to start my adventure 🙂
It came with old rusty IPF spotlights that didn't work, and I have been looking for new ones ever since
I bought a cheap eBay lightbar, absolutely awesome, works fantastic and has great spread and distance, don’t be afraid to buy cheap…
Contract*
i bought some Stedi EVO spotty and spread beam Lights, and had them shipped to me in the USA. Holy Crap are they bright! Some of the best lights I've ever had!!!
Slightly passed the comment date but here it goes. My dad's dream was to own a 200 series. Hi's finally got one and the spoties would be a gift to him
Personally, here in the UK we don’t struggle with the surprises of animals leaping out of the roadsides, we’re lucky I guess!
I need a new set of spotties to see all the open road in front of me now all the Nissan's are behind me! Awesome video mate.
Had a head on collision on Tuesday morning heading to work a lady turned in front of me and I had no where to go, so I could use a new set of Spotties on my new 4wd when I get one 👌👌
A couple comments;
- IP68 is 1 meter of water for 30 minutes.
It may be a good idea to inform people about road regs when it comes to Lights, here in vic if they are forward of your "B" piller or behind or above your bull bar bar they are considered camping lights and the switch must not be able to be reach by the the driver while driving,
This why I need the Stedi lights because I got defected and had to disconnect my roof mounted light bar which doesn't fit my bar, those steady units would make my rig shine day and night.
keep the information coming, well done .
I just bought two Stedi shock 6 mine spec work lights and ready made electrical harness. Will make the work site and camp ground! much brighter….
I've been trying to decide on new lights for ages now and this video answered some questions for me. Thanks!
