I have won Blue Ribbons on my Hot Rolls... so why in the world would I be scared of making Artisan Bread... because most people make it look so Beautiful, just like yours... YEA.... this ol' dog learned a new trick... Thank you so much for sharing this BEAUTIFUL BREAD... I am soooooooo Happy.
I want to thank you for the shower cap hack! I saw you use one months ago and I purchased a pack and I haven't looked back!! So practical and efficient! Thanks again👩🌾😊🏡🥖
I do the same recipe, but cover and leave overnight (between 12 to 18 hrs depending on room temperature) then bake the same way you do. Flavour is wonderful and as it is healthier as it has time to ferment, something like a sourdough bread. Long fermented breads are great. I start at about 3 or 4 pm and just leave it till the next day. Favourite family bread. Doesn't last more than a day. ❤️
@@DianeC. I didn't say that I cover and let stand after the first mix, when the dough has absorbed the water and it's at that shaggy stage. I do the final shaping while my pot heats up in the oven.
I do the same, but throw mine in the closet under LOTS of blankets. I also add about 1 cup full fat yogurt to my dough as well because I don't like messing with sourdough starters. The yogurt gives it a great fermentyish taste..!
Everyone needs to try this!! If you like the crusty bread like you get in the fancy sandwich shops, THIS is it!! And it could not be easier! The recipe is very forgiving. Even if you think your loaf is ugly, I guarantee, you won't have to look at it for very long! ♥
I just made this and I am super glad I took it out 10 minutes early. It is AMAZING! I LOVE crunchy and the outside of this OMG! TY for sharing this recipe! Hubby loves it too!
Bread is next week at my home care job. Canning chicken & a bit of beef today (making room for this years freezer beef from local farmer). Thanks for sharing💞
Hi Renea!!! I liked this recipe. My daughter made one like this a while ago. Maybe I will try it. It's been 33 years since I tried my hand at bead making. Really. This does look easy!!! Thanks for this good recipe...Great video my friend!!!...
Thanks for inviting us into your kitchen. I make this bread all the time but I enjoy your videos very much... Yes, I watched the entire video... Waiting for you to sit down so we can have a cup of coffee.... 🥰
My goodness looks great Renae! Now I need a bowl of soup, gonna be a whole lotta sopping going on or dipping lol God Blessings to you and your family ❤️ Have a Great Day❤️
Good Morning , Renee and Grandbabies . The bread 🍞 is so beautiful and easy to make . I'd have to cut it when it's hot . Put butter on my piece . I used to make home made bread . Years ago I want to try your recipe . Hope it turns out like yours . The Lord Bless . You And Family .🍞🧈🍳🥓🥔🍯☕
I’m making my first loaf of yeast bread since HomeEc class (1972). The recipe I’m using is very similar to this one, but using whole wheat bread flour (4cups), salt, 3/4 tsp yeast, and two cups room temp water, sit covered 12-18 hrs. What prompted this desire, long dormant, to make bread? My friend is tired of paying $4/loaf for ordinary sandwich bread, and wanted to get a bread making machine. Bet I can make a good loaf without a machine (or kneading), better than store-bought.
Ok, this looks like the easiest bread ever! 😁 Bread at the store is too darn expensive anymore. I'm gonna make it this weekend. Excited to try it. Thanks for sharing!
great minds think alike. I am going to make lunch lady square pan pizza tonight. My hubby loves it. That was one of the best lunches at school when I was a kid. But then again our lunch ladies made everything from scratch, we were just a small school so they could do that and every year one of the farmers would give the school a whole cow for the lunches so it really was pretty good. Not like now, I think the school lunches are a nightmare.
new subscriber , just binge watching your videos. love them 💖 a tip for your allergies, put a little dab of Vaseline at rim of each of your nostrils, like not in them. apparently works by catching those allergens before they get in your sinus. works for me, hope it helps you too
That is beautiful bread. If the yeast is cold (kept in freezer) would I have to let it come to room temp before I do the mixing? This would be me first try at baking the no knead bread. Thank you so much.
the warm water will wake it up. but take an extra warranted step and mix the yeast and water and let it set to proof for 10 minutes before adding it to the flour.
I have got to start making your breads they always look delicious. MAY I ask where you got that apron? I have been looking everywhere for one like that as I can't have any pressure on the back of my neck.
The bread looks wonderful! May I ask what size cast iron dutch oven you used to bake the bread - 3 Quart? 4 Quart? Does it hurt the enamel lining of the dutch oven to pre-heat it to that high temperature with no food inside it? Thanks :-)
@@LittleVillageHomestead ok thank you so much. I'm nervous about canning but I'm gonna research and I think I'll start my canning journey in the next few months
you can make a make shift one using 2 bread pans. Put your dough in one pan and cover it with another the same size and clamp it with those small office clamps or even tie it tight together with butcher twine. You will get the same effect.
@@LittleVillageHomestead I use the cheap stuff all the time but not for the oven and especially for this bread. I've almost sent a loaf or two to the floor, lol...
I make these for my neighbors every Christmas. They think I spent all day in the kitchen working...and they're right considering I only have one dutch oven. Ha!
Greetings from East Texas! I made my first loaf of Artesian bread. Not your recipe. This recipe you put the dough in the fridge… and yanked off what you needed for Loaf, rolls etc. My loaf was AWFUL 😅
Oh my goodness I am sorry. I promise you that this is a nice loaf of bread. You can always add a little more yeast (2 tsp.) to my recipe and just let it rise until it doubles in size ( 1 hr.) and you will get a nice loaf of bread as well.
@@LittleVillageHomestead - looking back, I’m pretty sure I have identified my mistakes. Flour was from the fridge (cold)…I had to warm it up in the microwave..which didn’t seem to be a problem. The dough from the fridge was cold, the kitchen was cool, few other things. Loaf smelled good coming out of the oven… but was super dense. I’d rather have one GOOD dough recipe you can use for multiple applications with slight applications…than a dough you can keep in the fridge and pinch off chunks as you need / want. At THIS point in my Bread Baking experience

Perfect! Nothing compares with a loaf of fresh bread!

bakers are cool. You can make French begets from a bread machine! if you want to. My interest in baking is probably pasties or pizza dough,

Yes you can read the National center for home preserving. it has tons of info.

I use seal of Minnesota normally.
What was the temp for the bread? 450?

You can use a casserole dish, cast iron frying pan
Do you have to use a Dutch oven? I don't own one.
Not at all. you can use a regular bread pan.

If possible, buy your parchment paper at Costco. It holds up better when doing this recipe...
