- I change the oil and filter on my Ducati Streetfighter V4 for the 621-mile (1,000km) break-in service. It's easy to do and I go step by step. Doing this yourself ensures that it's done right and it'll save money in the process. In the US, it will NOT hurt your warranty. Just save your receipts and take some pictures of the process. #ducati #ducatistreetfighterv4 #motorcycle #motorcycles #oilchange

Great to get new content from you! You've got two beautiful bikes there, looking forward to your reviews of them, and of course, seeing the Bullet complete and running! 🇬🇧

Just ordered the gear lever, mounting stud and whole gearbox from India.will rip into it when I get the parts in the hand…..it takes a while, and a pity as we are just coming into summer, don’t tell my kids but went and brought a mint 2000 km only Indian bullet 500.2000 edition…got to keep the riding bug fed….regards from nz.
Hello friend. Please, after changing the oil, does the OIL SERVICE message disappear automatically or not? Is it necessary to take the motorcycle to a dealership to delete the message? Thank you very much. A big hug. Marcelo
The service reminder doesn’t shut itself off. You’ll need a dealer to plug it in and do it. Or you can buy a flash unit and do it yourself (not cheap just for that). I’m getting an “annual inspection” so they can shut it off and update any software if available. It’ll be around $50
Thank you very much my friend. A big hug. Marcelo
What was the torque specs for the filter cover and drain plug? Did you apply any sort of silicone or thread locker on any of them? Thankyou
I rarely use torque specs as I've been doing this for awhile and go by feel. The drain plug is 14Nm and the filter housing is 10Nm. No silicone or thread lock! Just a new crush washer for the drain plug and the filter housing has two o-rings. I reused the originals as they're not worn and seal fine for a couple of oil changes. After that, just replace those two o-rings and always replace the crush washer 👍
Great video. I just did mine same way you did. Once filled I started let run and came back 2 hours later and it was at the minimum mark. Topped to the full mark and ran again then checked next morning it was the same. However I ride to work today and after sitting it's showing over filled aftet sitting for a couple hours? Still have room at the top of the sight glass but its over the top mark. Have you had this issue? Does it fluctuate alot?
Thanks. And mine have fluctuated at all after I topped it off the last time. These big V4s can be weird, though
its actually restricted, the shift light moves from 6k to 14k
It’s simply a shift in recommendation on the dash. The engine was never restricted and isn’t “opened” when the dash is updated by a dealer. The tach “lights” just shift
How many miles your bike ? I’m planing getting This bike I have s1k 2013 km going to replace how about the service reminder . In the dashboard how can we take it off?
I’ve got around 1,500 miles on it now. Only the dealer can shut off the service reminder unless you get a flash unit yourself. I’m taking it in for an “annual inspection” and they’ll shut it off and update any software if available. It’ll be about $50
Do you need to go to the dealer to reset the ECU after an oil change? If not reset does it keep prompting for maintenance?
Yes, only a dealer can reset the oil change reminder on the dash. It doesn’t hurt anything if it’s not reset (I haven’t even gotten mine reset yet), but you’ll get a little maintenance reminder box on startup and then a tiny oil can light on the dash afterwards.
@@Cyclingwithgasoline Thank you for your reply. It really won't affect anything, maybe reset if it's cheap.
@@Peihao I have a dealer near me that won't charge me much. I just need to get around to it.
The drain plug washer is copper or aluminum?
I honestly don't remember for sure. I think it was aluminum
I see Royal Enfield Classic Legend Model 😍 1983
Actually it’s a 2006 “iron barrel” Bullet 500
