You can see the distance in Helen’s eyes when she talks about “mum”.
Doreen had too many children. I feel sorry for all of them….
I wonder if all the 10 children are still in contact…

Agreed. And no one should say a single bad word about Doreen because none of us know what she went through. I have my theory, but it doesn’t matter. All that matters in life is NOW. The past is gone, the future isn’t guaranteed, and the present is the greatest gift of all. If there were ever a lesson in grace on this show, it’s this story. God bless them.

Even if you forgive the parent for all the pain and heartbreak their actions caused you, it could be hard to build a new relationship as an adult with someone who really didn't raise you.

She hangs up on her 13 year old, her little one say's, "Bye" (something I say when someone hangs up on someone else) and then she curtly tells her precious little one that it's not her place to say, "Bye." The little girl was just correcting her mother's poor behavior. Children deserve grown parents.

It is scary to think that two children, just become teens are reproducing but thankfully these two seemed to have become responsible parents and despite their youth there have been blessings and escapes from gangs and drugs etc. Then you have the older woman who had ten children and put them in Bernados because she couldn't cope. I feel that those 13 year olds have showed that age is not important and shouldered the responsibility while the woman with 10 children admitted she couldn't cope and did the smart thing.

Ten kids, probable poverty, an unhappy and possibly abusive marriage, possible postpartum depression or even postpartum psychosis, and almost certain chronic exhaustion: this would be enough to push any woman off the rails. I live in Sweden. I think the Nordic countries and Germany have the same view of teenage sexuality.
To not forbid, because they well do it anyway behind our backs without contraception.
Instead educate them and teach them to use contraception. We don’t want children to have children.
In Sweden we have special youth centers for teenagers to ask about sex and where they can get help with contraception of different kinds.
We want them to have a healthy attitude to sex. No shaming. But at the same time prevent then from getting pregnant. We don’t want to have the same situation as in the USA. High risk sex without contraception and teenagers that have several kids

My heart breaks for Dilson. If you’ve never experienced blood loss in a short period of time, it feels like you’re dying in every sense. Your literal life blood is draining from you faster than you can replenish it and you can feel yourself fading-add on a head trauma and you’re terrified. Anything with the brain can be terrifying. Even low blood sugar can make you unable to function and think straight because your body needs ALL aspects of your blood to keep your brain functioning properly. The young couple seem to be doing really well with their kids, but of course, we don’t know how it is off camera and / or at home.
This little girl is two years old, hasn't peed in two days, and has not been looked at by the Dr. and she is eating a huge piece of chocolate.
Most hospitals will have signs saying don't eat or drink before being assessed by a Dr. Because sometimes it might affect your treatment, or if you need surgery.
If they need to test her for diabetes and check her blood sugar, they aren't going to get an accurate reading.
I don’t understand why parents feed their kids such large amounts of treat foods or drinks?
Just a small amount will do.

Whatever happened to the English language? I used to live in the UK and sometimes I feel like I need a translator, especially when I go to Scotland or Ireland. I laughed at the girl who tried to say teen moms are stupid, except she can’t even say stupid.

"Young parents aren't shewpid, we're not shewpid." *hangs up on her teenage daughter, snaps at the other for saying bye, then stuffs that child with chocolates.

I agree. Lots of overcoming tragedy. And post-partum depression wasn't well-understood at the time Doreen was suffering with it.

@@alanatolstad4824 Good morning Alana. I'm happy that Helen, and her mum found each other. Your right, back in the day women didn't understand what post- partum was, and alot of women had their children removed. It's better understood nowadays, and can be treated. I hope you have a great weekend 🙂⚘️.

@@Terp.Wtf are you talking about? Pain is subjective, some people have a high pain tolerance but it is not your own merit. And wounds are not the same. Different bodyparts have different pain levels as well.
Maybe try to learn empathy, that is much more important then seeing yourself as a hero just because you didn't need morphine.
