  • I have moved to Calgary as well as many of my friends and this home was bought by one of my friend for $350,000 which is more than 3 times cheaper than Greater Toronto or Greater Vancouver area!
    Calgary has become popular among people and it has started seeing influx of many people from Ontario and BC and also from other countries.

    Good for investment purposes but not very tempting if u compare with GTA. I have seen much cheaper in Regina again based on the preferred area. I have worked in Regina, Winnipeg and been to Calgary but out of these I love GTA. The growth and opportunities are huge. I live in Georgetown and accessibility wise it's good go bus train are add-on. Plus university in Guelph Waterloo and different community colleges are must. Calgary is good but compare the weather and overall points I will still prefer Toronto.

    • @CanadianDost

      What about the wages. Ontario has much higher rates. Grocery is also expensive in calgary. U paid less tax but grocery expensive hy. u didn't get school in every area. It oil prices hits mostly company reduce their employee base pay and they reduce working hours or as needed. This i never seen ontario. Plz also share this.

    It seems houses in Canada is lot cheaper than in England. In England you may have to pay upto about 400 thousand pounds for one bedroom retirement flat in a decent area. In Delhi you won't get a flat for less than 3.50 crores. It's even more expensive in Mumbai.
    In Western countries you have 20 to 25 years to pay up mortgage but in India you have to pay the full amount before registration. If you take loan from the bank, you pay very high interest. The advantage is once you get your own place you usually pay off the loan quickly and you become the real owner of your property. But in Western countries you buy a property with high mortgage and there is a risk of losing your house in case you lose your job and fail to keep up with the payment. I have seen many people usually the youngsters facing such problem.
    The best thing to do is to pay more towards your mortgage, if you can, rather than saving in the bank as the banks don't pay much interest but charge high interest on loan. This way you can lower the amount of mortgage and pay up your loan in reasonably short time.

    • @vishalkanwar2333
      @vishalkanwar2333 ปีที่แล้ว

      All your facts are wrong lol. No flat under 3.5 cr in Delhi? Also compare house qualities of Europe and Canada. Canada is actually the most expensive.

    • @SUJAMUK
      @SUJAMUK ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vishalkanwar2333 I won't say anything without getting the facts right. I lived in London, England for more than 4 decades and I had a 3 bedroom semi detached house with garage in a posh area. Those houses could be anything between 700 to 800 pounds now.
      My nephew in Delhi just bought a duplex for 3.5 crores, he spent about 4 crores in total including painting etc. My other nephew got a flat in mumbai and pune and also houses in bangalore. So I know about housing market both in India and UK and. USA
      I don't have any idea about Canada but I have relatives and friends in different parts of America, so I have good idea about America.
      I haven't got the habit of making up stories. My comment is purely based on facts and practical experience and knowledge.

    • @vishalkanwar2333
      @vishalkanwar2333 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SUJAMUK your relative got a flat for 4cr in Delhi and you assumed that flats are not there under 3.5 cr. That's nothing but indeed making up stories(not even facts). You can get luxurious flats for even 2cr(not just 1bhk) and not even in outskirts of Delhi but good localities. I don't know how you assumed no flats under 3.5 cr. Delhi isn't even that expensive. Real estate growth is hardly single digit increase there. And then you say you don't make up facts. Well technically yes brcause you can't just make up facts. But stories indeed. Also like I said compare UK's and Canada's house qualities from reliable sources/relatives and you'll know better.

    • @SUJAMUK
      @SUJAMUK ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vishalkanwar2333 why are you being so awkward and argumentative?. When was the last time you visited india?. My nephew lives in basant kunj, Delhi. Of course house price depends on the condition of the house. I know a relative of mine bought a flat in gurgaon, delhi, in a housing Complex for 3 crores.
      I myself lived in London for 42 years, my husband for nearly 50 years but had to come back to India for health reasons and unfortunately my husband passed away. So I don't have to find out anything about UK.
      You have every right to reply to the comments without being disrespectful.
      From now on I shall start not replying to any comments as it's very strange how people react.

    Which area is this? Whether Indian people lives there? I wish that you make a tour of SW of Calgary. Please also confirm whether Indian couple, whose both sons are settled there, can purchase a house in Calgary? Please also share your Mobile no for advise.

      This is in Saddle Ridge close to SaddleTown LRT station.
      Many Indians live closeby and Gurudwara is 3-4 km away

    Property size is very small and tight compared ho Airdrie

    • @CanadianDost
      @CanadianDost  ปีที่แล้ว

      Airdrie does not have a many amenities like hospitals or college:universities,so it is obvious it would have better price.

    I have 2 cr I want to buy this kind of home. Is there good jobs in Calgary? Right now I'm in Toronto

    • @CanadianDost
      @CanadianDost  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You don’t have to pay cash.
      1st time home buyer can get houses for as low as 5% downpayment of total house cost and rest you can get loan based on your job (4 time your annual salary).
      Calgary does have good jobs, but it is better to get job first before moving here.
      That will be better for you
