Only thing good about calgary is real estate affordability as compare to ontario and bc. Otherwise job opportunities are not many. Unemployment rate is high there. Economy is depend upon oil and gas but that sector is crash so job opportunities are really limited there. Every area is not covered by public transportation. Real estate market may low but rental market is still high. Weather conditions are tough, Too hot in summer and too cold in winters.

I have lived most of my life in Alberta. From 2017 to starting of 2021 i was in Toronto working. In the beginning of 2021 i came back to Calgary. Comparing both cities they are great. But i prefer to live in Calgary because I have family here, its peaceful, high standard of living, less traffic, less tax, less crime, people are nicer. Two things are problems in this city one is finding a good job and the weather. Weather is mostly cold here. Good luck guys

These fellows buy multiple houses and put them on high rent and families struggle to survive due to high rent. Shouldn't they need to give back to community when they are well off ? No instead they put properties on higher rent because they need to get mortgage paid off and want cash flow aswell.

Well, as I’ve been living in Calgary for almost 5 years, I would say that the weather is not for everyone! It’s not about cold! No body talks about Chinook. It’s a weather situation when temperatures change from -15 to +2 or zero degrees in about few hours. So it’s extremely bad for your body, headaches and make you feel sick, puke and lot more! For some people it will go away as period time, adaptation, for lots people not, more than half my friends suffer sickness all the time. Other thing, no body talks it’s very dry water! Which effect your skin, very bad! Water is not soft it’s mountain water heavy for your skin and it’s making your skin and hair very dry! A specially in the winter!Another thing it’s very nothing to do! Comparing to Toronto , Montreal or Vancouver. Unless you like nature! And very heavy fires and trust me fire 🔥 in BC and Alberta is very bad! For people who don’t have asthma even for normal people it’s hard to breath! So I moved to Toronto and I love it! Yes house pricing is very bad, but on the other side you have much more stuff to do! Just wanted to let you know guys other side of Calgary. Good luck 🤞🏾

Hi! Should I go for PG in Public Relations or PG in HRM? i have done bachelors in Pol science in India? Which career is better to pursue in Canada, being an immigrant?

You’ll end up working in Tim Hortons! Doctors and Engineers drive taxis in Canada. There are very few professions Indians are taken seriously in Canada. One is trucking.

Nursing is your best bet or find a remote job in the IT sector before you arrive. Many Indian women are cleaners and work at Tim Hortons because of the lack of support here in Canada

My illiterate cousins went Canada after unable to score 3 bands even in IELTS... Just apply for tourist VISA... Canada standard is too down even rickshawala, doodhwala, paicharwaalas also holding Canada VISA.... Canada deserves such people only.

You will have no career in Public Relations and or HRM, you will 100% get no job in that field and will end up working in a mall or cleaning job. Don’t come to Canada with those professions, this is an honest advice to you.
