Seems like a proper honest owners perspective. Doesn't need to lie about its pro's and cons, or act like its a supercar (take note Mustang owners). Really cool looking and sounding machine, and something I could have only dreamt of owning at 22!
I also have a 2015 challenger in the UK, Beautiful car, gets constant looks and thumbs up. Mine is the 5.7 but still gives great performance, and sounds awesome. I have no issues driving left hookers on the left, my daily is an accord. We did the North coast 500 in it last year, drove flawlessly, and have been to the south of France too. Driven sensibly i average 22 to 23, but on a long run i saw 32 mpg, Ok it is a big car, but handles really well. If you want to do a video with mine, let me know. I do have 6 month laid up insurance, and specialist insurance companies exist for American cars. Mine costs about £300 a year to cover. Gets the most looks and comments at car shows, so many ask if they can sit in it and have photos taken, the grins they show means it gets admired over most cars. In my youth i had a 1970 Challenger, sold it when the family arrived, would be worth a fortune now. Amazing car to own and drive
Like all performance cars, if you put your foot down, they’ll go fast. That acceleration comes from converting energy (calories) in the fuel to kinetic energy (speed). This applies to electric vehicles, turbo and supercharged European cars. If you hammer them, they’ll burn fuel. The SRT has 4 cylinder deactivation, VTEC technology, 8 speed ZF gearbox - so it’s a modern ICE vehicle. It also has Eco mode. It’s the same engine and technology as in the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT. I daily my right hand drive Jeep SRT getting 19 - 20 mpg and tonnes of smiles on my face every time.
@@DrivenPlusaround my area in Suffolk, a lot of Americans reside here (military). I’m sure one of them would probably help out. Seen loads of chargers.
Hemi stood for hemispherical....as in the shape of the combustion chamber in the head ......this allowed for central placement of the spark plug in the chamber this giving a faster burn....the gen 3 hemi is not a true hemi in that sense - it has two spark plugs per cylinder and the "hemi" bit has been transferred across to the pistons....it's still an awesome engine and the torque off idle is astounding
I love my 2018 dodge challenger rt scatpack 6.4 to me its a fantastic machine, have no problems driving in the uk, I dont use it much in winter months, its powerful, no need to make it out more than it is, there's faster out there, so its nice to see a honest review, it is what it is, and as you say wouldnt change it for the world😊
age 22??? blimey, when I was 22 in 2006, I thought getting a fiesta zetec s for £5000 and 1000 insurance made me cool. mind you, all paid for myself, nothing given to me.

Was great to hear Dan’s experience of owning this in the UK and for general ownership from a whole
It’s a superb bit of kit but she’s certainly not perfect! Wouldn’t change it for the world tho😎

Please 🙏 do the Charger and Camaro ownership in the UK next.
You’ve gotta complete the 4 horsemen of Yankee muscle 💪!
Could actually do a Camaro sometime soon. Charger I will struggle with.

"To be Honest...." Dan, that's a very cool car! 🤐
As an American who owns a Chrysler 300 SRT8, I thoroughly enjoyed the reviews. Fair play.

Thank you! She certainly is🤌🔥
Great job mate
Do you have to change the fueling when importing a car from the states, to uk fuel?
US gallons are smaller than UK ones. I'm guessing this is still quoting UK. 16mpg US would be 19mpg UK
Thought i was watching Jamie Vardy in a Dodge when the video started 😅
Great car though, something different amongst the usual suspects 👍
🤣🤣 Thanks for watching 👍
