Looking forward to the Adam Sandler movies on 4k. I'd be really happy if there were some more John Candy's movies, like Cool Runnings, Uncle Buck, Sumner Rentals, The Great Outdoors, who's Harry Crumb on 4k
Uncle Buck was announced for 4k from Kino lorber, seems like around 2 years ago. So don't know what the hells up with it at this point. Summer rental was just announced for bluray.
Also I agree on Who's Harry Crumb. Rewatched it recently. Still very funny, better than I'd remembered. Would buy on 4k.
Why do we need pulp fiction again, what about jackie brown and kill bill ??

Great summary Ken. Daylight is a great movie and should look incredible on 4k. Armageddon also needs a 4k box set with the extended version. Another brilliant disaster flick! 👍😀
Love to have Ace Ventura When Nature Calls on 4K. I prefer this one over the first movie.

Grabbing Maxxxine today, ordered Devil 4k the other day, and looking forward to seeing Strange Darling. Far and Away is my favorite Ron Howard film, so I'll gladly upgrade that one.

vhs will never make a come back, its a shitty format that degrades everytime you watch it and rewind it. It was good in the 80s and 90s as it really was all we had to watch stuff at home.

The Walmart Maxxxine blu was lowered to $19.96, at least that's what I ordered it at from them. Harold and the Purple Crayon is really good, very family friendly.
I wonder how much I can get for my Blu-ray of Dogma? I am looking forward to the packaging of The Tenant. I am a subscriber so I know I am getting. Never seen before. The Talk of the Town I will place my pre-order as soon as it become available. Legends of the Fall will look gorgeous in 4K but I can wait a little for that one. Las Vegas I am supposed to get from Amazon tomorrow. I hope it is the unrated version we got on DVD. But having it looking better is a good thing as I love that show.
Would like to see What About Bob?, Uncle Buck, The Great Outdoors, Don't Tell Mom the Babysitter's Dead, and Throw Mama From the Train on 4K.

Maxxxine, A Quiet Place: Day One, Interview with the Vampire Season 2, and Kinds of Kindness for me this week (Kinds does come with a nice slipcover btw, at least mine did from Amazon). I'm excited for Daylight on 4K. Haven't seen in forever but was a favorite back in the day.
''DANTE'S PEAK', ''DAYLIGHT'' and the ''AIRPORT'' films will be released next year on 4-K. As far as the ''AIRPORT'' films, they will be sold in a box set and as seperate releases.

Kino is setting themselves up for their best year ever in 2025. So many great titles in the works for 4K! Billy Madison, Dante's Peak, Daylight, Happy Gilmore, Hatari, Lost in Translation, The Rundown, Sneakers, Uncle Buck, etc.

The more Kevin Smith in 4K the better, people think it’s cool to hate on him but I’m a big fan.
What I love about Kino is they release these titles by genres, they do westerns, classics, horror, thriller and now comedies and not disaster films & they actually look good too!
Not a fan of that Beetlejuice Beetlejuice cover but I enjoyed the movie enough to purchase it.
I love wallace and gromit and would love to have a complete 4k set with the new revenge most foul movie when it comes out this winter.

Yeah for me comedies have the most rewatchability of any movies, so 4K is a must IMO, especially for how often the disc will be played and in rotation. Also when company is over, everyone loves a good classic comedy

I’ve got the German import of Daylight with atmos and it’s awesome! With that said if the new release doesn’t have atmos I’ll skip it. With a movie like daylight sound is much more important.
Unrelated to this video but I ‘m holding out on getting Ghost Ship and Thir13en Ghosts on Blu-ray and hoping that Scream Factory eventually releases them in 4k.
Those 2 movies would look so good in 4K. Shout is losing the rights to alot of titles they did in Blu and Kino or Arrow are picking them up instead for 4K.
I got quite place day one 4k earlier. Paroumount presents scare vol 2 4k , double body 4k steelbook and bad boys ride or die 4k steelbook. I want maxxime 4k, get out/ us steelbook and sleep hollow steelbook 4k, friday night lights 4k, devil 4k
I definitely don't need comedy movies in 4K, but I might give in if we ever get 4Ks for Nacho Libre, Norbit, or The Benchwarmers 😅
Far and Away was shot in 70mm, shame this 4k is from a 35mm print. Major missed opportunity if you ask me.

The new 4K release of Trick r Treat from Arrow featured one of their advertising cards for Jason X. It's definitely coming since there's no other reason for that to be inside the case. With that info, and them releasing the remake last month, it's safe to assume FvJ & JG2H will be coming too. Fun times!
Didn't hear about Freddy vs Jason but I saw Jason Goes To Hell and Jason X were being promoted by Arrow.

Just to add some info, the John Wick steel book from Titans, adds Dolby Vision to the 4k for the first time; at least as far as i know, none of the other releases it, just have HDR10.

I already have The Holdovers on 4k, I'm definitely buying Legends Of The Fall on 4k Dec 3rd. I didn't care about Dogma. We have the bluray before it went OOP. My wife loves it and she is excited to see it upgraded.
If they start releasing a bunch of comedies, I hope they take the time to track down the alternate TV scenes and cuts. Ace Ventura has some scenes in different cuts. Dumb & Dumber needs to have the Theatrical Cut and Unrated options. The Jerk and Teen Wolf have TV scenes that have not been included in any home media releases. Probably more.

Target is running a buy 2 get 1 free promo on movies.. was able to pre-order the upcoming Scream Factory/Shout Studios 4K releases.. now just have to hope Target doesn't cancel any of them.. lol

The Tenant is a masterpiece. It's got a language problem. It's half dubbed in English or half dubbed in French. Never completely original. I wonder if this issue is solved in the 4k disc.

AGUIRRE: THE WRATH OF GOD is a must-have. Legendary film. Definitely gonna pick it up. I would only get SNDN for the novelization, but if it sold out, then forget it. That WALLACE & GROMIT set is...enticing. I'm definitely getting DEVIL, that's one very underrated film.
My objection to PULP FICTION isn't the hardcase. It's the needless swag: the stickers are pointless, the art cards work best when they're reprints of lobby cards (which PF didn't have), and the 3-D foldout is just asking for damage and frayed ends. Emulate the hardcases that do it right: posters, script pages, hardcover booklet, and maybe reprints of things like the Jackrabbit Slims logo or a CD with the extra music tracks on it. In fact, surprise me: have a dedicated special features Blu-ray as well as the $K and Blu-ray disc of the film.
With Zaslov running WB, I'm amazed the discs even come with cases instead of a paper sleeve with the title written in Sharpie on the disc.
I'd like to get THE TENANT, but if I have to pass it up, I will. Other than that, the VS releases aren't terribly interesting.
I'd only be interested in AIRPORT '77 and only if I get both cuts in 4K.
I'm not getting any more JOHN WICK until they put out the complete boxed set.

Sandpiper Pictures reminds me a lot of Olive Film. They release nothing but barebones BluRays at a decent quality (not the best, but not poor either) at an inflated price. I have bought maybe two of their releases. Both were $30 for a film where extras had been available on the DVD release but Sandpiper chose to avoid every expense. You may consider these relatively inexpensive, Ken, but I personally think releasing a BluRay with no extras and charging $30 for that a ripoff!

Comedies are extremely lacking with 4k releases, namely all of the John Candy films, Summer Rental is even still stuck on DVD. Chris Farleys films as well can use 4ks. The only remaining film of his that still doesnt have an hd release is almost heroes. Beverly Hills Ninja blu ray was released under the radar a lil over a month ago,was so happy to get that. On the subject of Farley and Kino, hopefully they reissue Airheads. I have an import blu of that one

I guess I should sell my Dogma blu-ray while I can still get $200 for it. 😂I saw Smith's newest film, 4:30, and it actually wasn't too bad. Certainly the best thing Smith has done in years. It's no Clerks, but worth a watch, especially if you want '80s nostalgia.
Nothing for me in this week's releases, which is fine as next week my purse is taking a huge hit with all the stuff I pre-ordered.

You don't always see a part 3 getting less features then part 2 you usually see an upgrade with the newer sequels...
But in this case RIDDICK ON 4K IS GETTING A DOWN GRADE... BECAUSE OF THE GAMES SCREAM FACTORY AND ARROW VIDEO ARE PLAYING WITH EACH OTHER... AND NOW THERE CUSTOMERS HAS TO SUFFER FOR IT...

the comedy waiting with ryan reynolds looks like shit on blu ray....thats one comedy i would like get a UHD release, as far as adam sandler movies that i would like to get a 4k release, waterboy is number 1 for me, thats my favorite sandler flick.....happy gilmore, big daddy, anger management would be first day pick ups for me. dead alive 1992 has been in the restoration booth for like 3 years and im growing impatient for a 4k release for that and dead presidents and death sentence 2007 are at the very top of my wish list for a 4k restoration because those never got US blu ray releases even.
For me i think volcano with tommy lee jones is a much better film than Dante's Peak it had far more action with better diastar story to it and better pacing. Dante's peak i found was a slow starter film building up to the tension and action but it just didn't have enough action and story was boring and i am still waiting for Volcano to come to 4k

You know why Warner Brothers is doing that about slipcovers. Cuz they are trash and cheap out on everything when it comes to the customer. Right on script
Deep impact feels like a cheap made for tv film its imagery and cinematography are lifeless at least armageddon was visually colorful regardless of if it’s better or worse
