While coming to Australia as an international students, a lot of students are confused as to they should live on campus or off campus. Both the things have their own pros and Cons.
Devarshi Desai has lived off campus and Paridhi Tambi has lived on Campus and in this video they have pointed out different pros and cons.
Ultimately it is a decision that student has to choose for themselves as to what would be more preferable.
International students living on campus may have to spend more but also get to meet a lot more people as they would be living around a community of students where as living off campus can be cheaper and with a lot more freedom.

Now i am in sydney and i got admission in university of wollongong which 81 km far from here i mean where i am staying so the problem is that i got visa on 13 feb and i came here on 17 feb and the classes have started from today 18 feb so it is very difficult for me to go there today if i will not go than they will transfer me in the next intake so if i stay near the university of wollongong than it will be very hard to find work there coz that is country side place and if i go daily from here so it will take almost 2 and half hour to reach there so when will i work and if i req my university to transfer me here in there other branch so they will never be persuaded coz my other friend also was in that university so i have no idea that what should i do so please help me brother please call me my contact no is in the other comment

The university has no fences so yes you can go out at any time for any reason, and food depends on the individual residential college you apply for, they will say either they got meals or no meals(but then usually you will get cookware so you can cook your own food).

Depends on the rules of your student accommodation. Easier if you have rented an apartment by yourself.

They are very similar to on-campus accommodation with regards to facilities provided. You need to make sure about the travel timings though.

Off campus is finding accommodation on your own by renting a house or a room in a rented house whereas On-campus is living in University hostels.

i guess living on campus at the early stages of your migration is better. because in the beginning, you don't really know the best places for accommodation off campus and besides that, you will have to go to the uni more frequently; so, you will save a fair amount of money...
