Its from the intake lol you wont hear it with the stock airbox
@@BIGGELATO i have a 2013 Fiat 500 Abarth with an intake lol it only whistles like that on WOT. Whenever you're just driving around town it doesnt make the sound. They have one intake called the "holey-cowl" that goes through the cowl to where the front struts mount and that thing is insanely loud. They say it sounds like you have the intake in the glove box 😂😬😬😬
All I could think about the whole time was “eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee”

Whistle sounds like a boost leak.
It doesn't need to be, I have a neon SRT-4 and stock it used to make the same sounds, it actually sounds very similar to this abarth.
I have always tought that is because of some ribs on the intake just before the turbo.
It's the aftermarket intake
Some of the turbos in Abarth's make that noise over time or if slightly tuned, it's quite normal actually. (for an abarth).
Focus st and rs had a similar issue, it's an intake usually there's an aftermarket cap to plug the thing whistling
My Abarth never whistled like that. Granted, it was unmodified and low miles... but that whistle would drive me nuts.

@@TheStraightPipes I get paranoid the 1st few laps of every track day even with pads and fluids. I've had bubbles in the line or caliper and then brake goes to the floor and then it's pucker time. I had a 17 fiesta st (one of my 49 cars).. Used carbotech pads (xp8) and motul rbf660. It did OK, still not a ton of bite

@@hugolafhugolaf The whistle is due to the aftermarket cowl intake. It puts the opening to the intake right next to the cabin air opening, so ALL the intake sounds come into the cabin.
@@hugolafhugolaf mine either.. air intake is mostly stock though except for a new front mount intercooler the previous owner put on it.

I would hate driving a car with that whistling sound sucking air, or a loud droning exhaust on long highway trips.
I can vouche. Driving with a loudass exhaust and after market high flow cats on the highway is painful
Its only audible at WOT. If you drive it out of sport mode like a sensible person it won't whistle at all

Fiesta owners need to stop going to cobb. There is much better stuff for our cars. Wayyyy better tunes, way better parts, and way better customer service. There is no reason for the fiat to even come close the fiesta after being modded.

To be honest Im a big fiesta fan boy. This drag race was soooo closeee however and it was so much fun to watch regardless of the winner ♥️ Both are amazing cars. The Fiat sounds soooo goood!!!
I have a Fiesta ST, its honestly the best purchase I have ever made. I also have a 700hp 2003 Cobra and I legit enjoy driving the fiesta more than that death machine.

Prediction: the fiesta wins. Jakub just cares more about performance and Yuri cares more about the overall subjective fun experience, which is less focused on performance and more focused on overall feeling about the car (more about appearance, etc). Let's see if my prediction is right.

Please, for the Fiesta, don't use the off the shelf map from COBB. Stratified in Vancouver does a better tune, as does Dizzy tuning out of the USA. Both will give more power and torque.

The Abarth is still cooler. I'm not biased at all.
I love both cars. I had a 2013 Abarth and I have a 2019 Fiesta ST. Both are fun, feel fast with out breaking the speed limit and can handle. To me where the Abarth wins is the sound, I called it my mini Ferrari. I do hate how high the seats sit in the Abarth. The Fiesta just grips and with some mods can turn up the fun level. Abarth looks a bit better than the Fiesta but the Fiesta is a little more roomy.
How reliable was the fiat ? It’s such a cool car and I’d buy one but just heard some bad stories of reliability. I’m looking at a 2015 with 52k miles is that too many?
I have an early one which has had a few issues. They eat suspension parts and bushes. Some of the hoses in the engine bay get cooked and cause leaks aswell. Pretty much every time it gets looked at something needs doing.

Let's not forget that the fiesta st has 47hp and 32lbs of torque more than the abarth and they weight about the same the fiesta only weights 200lbs more. Taking that into consideration its safe to say the abarth still did a good job

I've been popping the hatch, rolling out a memory foam topper in the back of my FiST, blasting the a/c and taking naps with my feet sticking out (I'm only 5'8" so that helps). A little tight, but it's something a Miata or Abarth could never do after a bit of hooning. Not to mention a trip to the hardware store. The Fiesta ST is just such a fun and practical car.

Does the fiesta have an overboost feature like the focus does? Where it gives maximum output when the throttle is fully depressed? My focus had more hp, and torque then advertised. Not much I think 2 hp and 3 ftp of torque. Also was a mustang Dino. So.

My only "complaint" about this video is that it wasn't long enough! There was a ton of content, and deftly edited together, but it made it too "dense" and I feel like I couldn't really absorb all that was going on. My tiny brain couldn't take it all in.

i dont think it would be a good idea do to balance front weight wile braking will probably lift the back wheel and would probable have a shit load of understeer and less breaking power because 2 out a 4 wheel will have good traction due to the 80 20 weight distribution lol but got to be honest that would be a thing dodge would do tho lol
