I own both these pocket rockets lol
The fiesta has a Upgraded turbo full bolt on and the Fiat so far has a upgraded diverter valve and go pedal and intake. Love the fiesta for being faster on the highway speeds and it’s steering is better and I feel more In control. I love the Fiat for its raucous exhaust and punchy acceleration.
I use my 2016 abarth as a daily driver. Very fun car. I couldn't stand staring at that horrible ford interior and dash everyday. Not saying that the fiat has a luxury interior, but it's definitely nicer. And the instrument cluster is 1000 times better.

Love my abarth 500C. Have the factory upgraded 17" wheels with pirelli pzeros and an aftermarket tune. Lot's of fun. 3 years and no problems....🤞
Nicely done! I've been told the frantic handling and instability at high speeds goes away with better tires, and makes sense really. Glad you love yours! Such a great little car.

What tune did you go with?
ST will do your taxes. Abarth will teach you to dance. Both incredibly competent cars even today, almost ten years on. You can't lose with either.
All of these facts are true. I for once put my money where my mouth is and got a FiST.
FiST vs Abarth is very much like Quadrifoglio VS M3, but pint sized. Practicality vs Flair.
I vote flair, but I'd have either.

Fair 500 Abarth wins in my book all the time.
No real losers in this video. Both cars are hilarious. Since then, I've lure and put over 40k miles on a Fiesta ST and have made a video about it. It's all shot, edited, and scheduled to go live in a couple months with a bunch of other content.

I own a 5.0, mach1,fx4 and a genesis coupe and need me something SMALL I'm stuck between these 2 .I want the fiesta because it's a nice one but fiat is so different! FIAT has hard to get parts I'm sure but ford would be nice
As someone who now owns a Fiesta ST (over 2 years now), I say get it. I've not been stranded once in 40k miles in daily driving, road trips, track days, and hard canyon driving. It makes me smile every day, and have no plans to sell it.
The Fiat is quirky, but not nearly as competent in handling, nor has the usable space, nor the fuel economy of the Fiesta. The Fiat is pretty much outclassed in every way by the Fiesta in my opinion. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!

Great review, basically sums up how I feel about things. Stock for stock, the Fiesta ST has a more competent chassis and is easier to drive. The Abarth due to it's higher COG and shorter wheel base is more difficult to get the most out of. But I do think it's more fun. Part of that is the insanely non four cylinder like exhaust, I'm surprised you guys didn't cover that more specifically, because it's one of the best things about the car. And oddly enough, it's not necessarily as great if you have the windows down and are hauling ass. Wind noise kinda drowns it out. Where it's best is with the windows up and the rear seat down; it resonates through the cabin in an extremely satisfying way.
Also worth mentioning that tires are huge with these cars, the stock tires for the Abarth are pretty trash all seasons (with a tendency to explode). With a good set of tires like the firehawks and a few chassis stiffening upgrades, you can 3 wheel your way to victory and it's a riot.

The STs are more rarer, at least here in TEXAS where I live. I think I've seen more Abarths more often than FiSTs.
Here in Utah, I (as only an anecdote) see more STs than Abarths. But when I see an Abarth, I tend to hear it first. Thanks for watching!

Get rid of St there crap.. Abarth is 10 times better.. I know what I would get.. I have a fiat 500 lounge.. Never ford again

@@ExhibitionofSpeed I had a 59 plate ford focus zectec nothing but problems engine malfunction.. They have an ECU problem I know full well as a ST FOCUS did the same he got rid.. Yes granted I perfer older ford's compared to the new ones never again. I love my fiat 500 my next is abarth without a doubt.. I wasn't being rude or anything have really gone off ford's.. Mine malfunction 3rd lane motorway at at 75 lost speed down to 45 then took 13 hours to get from AA.. Everyone's has there opinions.. If yours running perfect then no problems... Still really annoyed.. I'm £3000 out of pocket because of it..
I'm sorry that happened to you. That really sucks. I'm glad you love your 500 and hope you make the jump up to the Abarth. It's really a special car as well.

@@ExhibitionofSpeed thanks gavin.. It does suck and it's annoying as they were my childhood car.. My father was a Ford driver so I knew they were pretty awesome cars now they are lacking as ford's are not as good as they used to be..
Well the Abarth was on my shortlist when I went to buy a new daily and I'm glad I chose correctly with the Fiesta. Shame I'm selling it due to drivability issues after blowing up the transmission.

What are the wheelbases?
98" for the ST and 90.6 in the Abarth
one is a great daily drive and dull, the other one is a fun go-kart

@@ExhibitionofSpeed I mean, its not the same thing. The new mazda3 are fun too, hyundai N too. but they feel like "cars" with space to carry your family, the mini and fiat abart are literaly toys. You sit in them and it doesnt feel like your in a car ready to do your shopping, its feel like you get in to have fun only. To me it was different experiences totally. I wouldnt buy a mazda3 or fiest, hyundai, golf ect.. if my goal is THE most fun toy car possible, its not thos cars, to me they are more like fun daily drivers.
If your main goal is fun and fun alone, then why would you go for FWD? Also, driving both cars, I was able to drive the Fiesta so much harder and faster without any of the twitchiness that the Abarth had.

A tesla is very quick but id take a abarth or mini 10x before getting a tesla for fun. it just "feel" different, like a go-kart. I guess its opinions, to me other cars just seems too serious. not that they are bad, they just feel different.
It sounds like concessions are being made in your opinion, but I also don't dislike the car! It was hilarious to drive! It's just not where I felt like putting my money. And as long as you (or anyone) loves the car they drive, that's what really matters.
