This was really the first very honest interview that I have seen. So glad that David's life has turned around in such a good way. Big fan of Disturbed.

@@samwardofficialmusic Or you would have dropped dead. That's not the kind of thing you can "brush off." You don't allow people to do things to you that can possibly kill you.
David Draiman is a very interesting individual!! On top of being an amazing artist. My kiddo and I are perplexed and enamored with his voice. My kiddo has Autism so going to a concert is not recommended due to the loud sounds but we are trying to figure out a way that would work for him because he loves Mr. Draiman voice. His favorite song as well as mine is Sound of Silence. I am a huge fan of the Simon and Garfunkel version and normally not a fan of covers however Mr. Draiman infused new life to one of the all time best songs ever.
I know my comment is way late, but have you thought about noise canceling headphones? I’m autistic too and I use them to help me at work and when I’m in loud places. They might help your kid, too, if you’re interested. And if you plan on taking them to a concert, I’d recommend staying near the edge of the crowd so if they get too overwhelmed they can get out for a sec and take a break. I hope this helps. :)
@@Umbra_Magna777 Great idea. I have ADHD and a strong sensitivity to sound as well. There is a product from a company I think is called Loop. It's an earbud that cuts out the higher frequency noises, which I find the most overwhelming. Is there a certain register that is harder to handle? If so, there may be a product that would assist. I hope @gabbriella Rupert gets to experience David's voice live someday. It would be an amazing experience to share with you Kiddo im sure.
@@Umbra_Magna777 I saw Gloryhammer and Alestorm live and wore earplugs. I'm autistic also. And they even make special noises canceling earplugs suited specifically for concerts.
My son lives with Autism and went to his first big metal show (Black Label Society) a couple of months ago. He wore headphones and we gradually introduced him to the loudness of shows by seeing local bands perform. I hope your kiddo is able to enjoy a show soon. 💜
I have adhd and autism, and I know that both adhd and autism is a spectrum, for loud music always has been my free comfy zone/space. And going to concerts has been very fun and very mening full for me to go to on another level mening full for me to do. So if you're son really have a favorite band ask him if he can consider to go and watch them or maybe stand somewhere outside the concert area and just listen. It might be great for him
A true Human Being. Brutally Honest Person! Peace to you, Mr.Draiman! I'm older than you are, by the way. Thanks for the music! PEACE.....................................................
David Draiman has become probably my favorite singer in rock and roll in the last couple of decades. I grew up on Duran Duran, Journey, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, Rush, U2. What they were for me back in the 70's and 80's, this guy and Disturbed are for me in the last couple decades. Thank you, Graham, and Loudwire, for this video. Keep up the great work!
I love this guy! I read somewhere that Disturbed’s performance of Sound Of Silence that was on the Jimmy Kimmel show won an award for the best live performance. Not many could win an award for playing a late night talk show. It’s one of the few covers that are just as good as the original. Gives me chills!
"The Sound of Silence" as sung by Disturbed is so beautiful. The best rendition by Disturbed is featured on Conan. And at my age (old as dirt), listening to some of this band's songs drives me crazy. However, "The Light" and "The Sound of Silence" give me goosebumps!
I so admire this man. I too have lost people to suicide. Family, friends, coworkers, and clients (I work in the mental health field). He is awesome, candid, and honorable. And his voice is absolutely incredible.
My father passed away 2 months ago but he was a HUGE rock/alt/punk/metal/grunge head lol and when he got home from work when I was around 9 or 10, usually when I was doing homework, he would THROW THE DOOR OPEN AND YELL, "OOOO WAAA AAAA AAAA AAAA!!! AUK AUK (begin tapping on my head to keep rhythm mid daily heart attack) AUK AUK, AUK AUK, OOOO WAAA AAAA AAAA AAAA!!!" So thank you David 😂❤️ It seriously is one of my best weird memories of my dad. 🙏❤️

David's got such a calm demeanor, it's hard to believe that he's done the crazy shit he talks about doing.
David has had a very interesting life. He's a decent, honorable person who is also one of the best singers/performers in the music business. The power and passion in his voice is incredible.
He looks like vin diesel's smarter brother
Bahahahahaha 🤘
Actually more like Dana White's evil metal brother
Yeah Tim Diesel
Nah man. He's clearly Mr. Clean's rebellious brother.
Dim Viesel
Him giggling at the dude's attempt at his battle cry is too cute.
Crazy how soft spoken, forward and relatable David is.
This is one of the things I love about metal musicians/bands. They're all so humble.
Well... many of them anyway.
+
He has this aggressive one-of-a-kind voice that reaches unbelievable proportions, but in his interviews, he seems a little shy and soft spoken. Reminds me of Freddie Mercury.
Wonderful interview, and he's endearingly honest.
It's great that he genuinely seems at peace with himself.
“It says you were born-”
“That did happen, yes.”
“Cool.”
I fucking died at that part
@@BackroadsNBrokenDreams David is such a badass.
I feel like him throwing the guy out of the window was inspiration for 'Dropping Plates'
Hahah!
+JIGGLYKID If it wasn't. For us fans it is now.
Just got to that part haha yes i hope that is the reason of that song that story is so great
It was self defence.
YaBoiSquiggle actually it was becuz droppin plates means droppin out records lile making them, but yeah that would be another good one😂
I came looking for information about David after watching the video for his cover of "The Sound Of Silence". I was very impressed and felt the need to know as much about him as possible. I am thoroughly impressed with this man. His voice is outstanding but after watching him speak about his life I am actually beyond impressed. He seems so humble and open. I can't believe how honestly he spoke about his father and his own mistakes that he made which probably created the man he has become. Hats off to this man and I pray for his continued success.
"And I ran up to him and pushed him out the window..." I lost it.
How is he so chill? he's really humble and very soft hearted.
I'm 34yrs old and a Father of 2 and since I was a young man at 12 or 13yrs old I've been a huge fan and a listener... I also was bullied badly in school and his B.E.A. UTIFUL TUNES have helped me manage what I have been threw... I'm honored to say Thank You and I ❤ David Dramen
And yes ONLY THE TRUTH WILL SET US FREE 🙏❤🙏
He's so open. He wears his heart on his sleeve. I love that.💗
David Draiman is just dark Howie Mandel
(I stole this, but it's hilarious)
For over 20 years I thought they were the very same person.
Omg please don't compare David to Howie! They could not be more polar opposite. Both are great in their own right but come on David is so fucking sexy and Howie 😏
His name is Metal Mandel
O M F G W H A T
David Draiman is one of the few people in the entertainment industry who is worthy of Universal popularity. Unlike so many others......he is the real deal.
I know this is 5 years old, but thoroughly enjoyed it and David has a voice that gets to my bones. So sweet and tender and the next second guttural that brings me chills. Love him.❤️
@DavidDraimanOfficial Happy New Year, David! Hope all is well.🥂🥂❤️
Indeed I am. A lovely surprise.
He wrote exactly the same messages to me and perhaps many other people. Honestly I don't think it's really him 😕
I don't either.
Dude has lived a seriously interesting life
Been a fan of him and Disturbed since high school. Awesome interview. ❤️
Aimee C. DISTURBED FOR LIIIIIIIIIIIIIFE🤘😆🤘
I come back to this video every so often. It's one of the best interviews Loudwire ever did.
I love Draiman, he's so fucking cool.
+Black Halo why do you say that?
+AddictedToGoodMusicx why would you say something like that?
+Ollie Cash He is fuckin' cool.
+Ollie Cash He's half as cool as persistent jock itch. He calls his band the Rodney Dangerfield of metal. RD was actually good at his profession.
besides the fact he broke up with my mom when i was little.
Who tosses a 25lb. weight at someone and then turns their back to them? Good thing it was only the second floor.
On God, the dude that did that shit must have been stupid or somethin' 😆
David Draiman would.
This was really the first very honest interview that I have seen. So glad that David's life has turned around in such a good way. Big fan of Disturbed.
So DoN't TuRn YoUr BaCk On Me AfTeR yOu HiT mE. OMG THIS MAKES ME LOVE HIM EVEN MORE.
Such a heartfelt and open discussion .. he seems very genuine and true ..the power behind his voice is amazing ..

Flyleaf - im so sick
This is the most friendly and natural interview I've ever watched.
the best version of "Sounds of Silence
" ever!
I don't blame him for throwing the kid out the window what do you expect when you throw a 25 pound weight at somebody's chest?!
Honestly, if someone threw a plate at me, I would’ve brushed it off and moved on, even though it would’ve hurt, because retaliation would just make things worse
Sam Ward I would kick their ass into next week.
HiSpeedZ hey you do you bro
@@samwardofficialmusic Or you would have dropped dead. That's not the kind of thing you can "brush off." You don't allow people to do things to you that can possibly kill you.
Aamon Rex yeah I guess you’re right
Bet the guy wasn’t expecting an interview like this out of Draiman
It might be great for him
Imagine being the guy David Draiman threw out a window 🤣
I bet he changed him singing ow ahh ahh ahh ahh
That would be an honor.
Yeah boy would you have a story to tell.
@@justamanwholikesvideogames5020 Plot twist: that's what David heard from the guy as he was lying down so he decided to use it.

For one of the most legendary voices in metal, You can't help but love how down-to-earth, and so humble, David Draimian is.... automatic respect....
I love this guy! I read somewhere that Disturbed’s performance of Sound Of Silence that was on the Jimmy Kimmel show won an award for the best live performance. Not many could win an award for playing a late night talk show. It’s one of the few covers that are just as good as the original. Gives me chills!
Wow love David Draiman, so humble soft spoken, i am forever a fan and please continue singing Disturbed❤🇵🇭
Huge respect to David for being so honest! Brave!

AUK AUK (begin tapping on my head to keep rhythm mid daily heart attack) AUK AUK, AUK AUK, OOOO WAAA AAAA AAAA AAAA!!!"
So thank you David 😂❤️
