EVANESCENCE is such a underrated band nowadays. It's a shame one of the best voices of our generation does not get half the recognition she deserves. Amy is such a down to earth person. Their latest record, The Bitter Truth (2021) just rocks!

Yeah, she's actually such a fun and lovely person. The interviewers and even some fans are always surprised at how cool, sweet and down to earth she is in person, nothing like the dark and dramatic person she seem to be in some Evanescence's videos and shows
Metal is theatre. It's just a vibe and a performance no different to when an actor takes on a role. Most metal folk are just regular normal people who love sitcoms and cats just like everyone else. That doesn't mean they don't take the music seriously, but not the actual themes of the music. That would be silly. At the end of the day it's fantasy, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Tyler Vincent that’s a generalization though not totally far fetched but not all of California is like that. Mostly LA and up north. Orange County and San Diego county from my experiences are not like that at all in fact the town I grew up in is very conservative. Riverside, where Amy Lee is from is more towards the desert areas inland of OC where non of that really exists it’s mostly just tweakers and old people lol
From the second I picked up her cd FALLEN, a long long time ago, Amy Lynn Lee has completely mesmorized me with everything about her, including stunning beauty, expanded deep intelligence, her voice, and tonight learning about her youth in high school, and how playful and fun she is and FILLED with positive character.
