It's a great vid, but I thought I'd let you know something about 180s since you talked about it with survivors epitaph (SE). Kill clip isn't especially amazing on those guns since lower level damage boosts provide the same TTK. Posterity with rampage reaches the same .67 s that SE does.and has the added benefit of better overall stats but that's beside the point. Anyways, great vid. Thought I'd let you know.
It is completely uncounterable. Even weapons with a faster ttk get flinched so even if both people shoot eachother in the head a crimson beats a multimach.
The only redeeming quality of seventh seraph is it has timed payload, which flinches the hell out of snipers. Although at that point, I’d be using an annual skate
Explosive payload or not, good snipers still headshot you regardless. Though I find the explosive damage more useful when killing weak enemy hiding behind covers.
“Finite Impact” can literally be translated to “Limited Effect” so this combined with mediocre stats and one of the dullest perk lists of any weapon ever makes me believe that Finite Impactor is a troll. I think Bungie occasionally release weapons like this just to see how guardians will respond. Maybe they make bets on it’s uptake and usage figures in different playlists. (2 other trolls that spring to mind were the “In Times Of Need” shotgun and the stability masterwork on Hard Light)
Thanks for this list. It confirms why I'm a "C" tier crucible player cause all the hand cannons that feel good to me are in the "C" tier except Ace which I suck with. LOL Thanks for the list Patty!
I woukd advise moving Survivor's up to the B tier or even A- on controller, as I have one with Kill Clip and Rapid Hit, and the combo allows it to get some nutty stability and three tap Guardians incredibly fast.
I'm surprised nobody's mentioned it yet, but Vulpecula has 1 specific perk that makes it surprisingly great in 1 specific situation. Trials. The crystal that pops up from the Headstone perk will freeze AROUND the enemy ghost, making it impossible for the opponent to revive them without first either breaking the crystal or waiting for it to despawn. Not to mention the stasis buffs you can have while defending it, or just shooting it right away to clean up his teammates with the burst.
People hated Garden of Salvations weapons at first lmao NOW they all aged like fine wine. Ancient Gospel is one of the rare guns with a perk pool that doesn't give you an outright bad roll. Sacred Provenance is arguably the best pulse rifle in the game and its the only NONSUNSET 4 round burst pulse rifle. If theres another please tell me so i can grab it😂😂
My favorite hand cannon are Palindrome and Crimson. I know Crimson is mostly on honorable mentions lists instead of bring top 10, but I always do pretty well with it. The flinch makes one on one battles fun. Even on PC it's good if you can control it.
Igneous hammer with celrity is great. The +20 handling and reload just makes it feel so much better. Throw fluted+handling mw on that and it's crispy. Also the ikelos HC actually has some unique things about. Firstly, it's the highest range 180 HC with 33m effective range because of seraph rounds and it can also roll with ramage which lets you 3 tap.
Another concise breakdown video. Definitely reminded me of giving other hand cannons a try that I had not thought of. Although, I have to hard disagree with you about Sturm! Sturm is like Hawkmoon-great in base stats with nothing special. Out of the 120’s, it has the best handling, counting out Snapshot Sights. Also, kills will reload your energy slot weapon, even if it’s not a sidearm. Someone pls fact-check me. Sturm served me well in Trials this past weekend. Pair it with skip grenades and Shinobu’s Vow. 1 shot from Sturm and a grenade will guarantee a kill.
@@epicgamerzfail4575 In Trials, I feel like perks that auto reload stowed weapons are game changers. You’re often faced with a choice of continuing a push or not pushing because you cannot safely engage an encounter because you know you haven’t reloaded your special weapon after picking up ammo.
Posterity not making it out of D-tier makes me sad (I wonder if it makes Drewsky sad too). As a controller player, I still find 180s have their merit in coordinated team play, in air accuracy, and forgiveness.
I agree with this wholeheartedly. I have a reconstruction/ opening shot Posterity and it actually feels fairly good in PvP. I would put it in C or B, but admittedly no higher.
@@Dave-xu5pr you’re prob just really good or good with that particular weapon bc i rarely see 180s as a controller player and when i do they don’t really pop off the same way somebody would with something like ace, palindrome etc
@@TreyBtw you dont see too many players use 180s because too many players follow videos they see on youtube. Most of these streamers are mnk players. They can use weapons alot easier without dealing with recoil the way we console players do. Survivors epitaph and last perdition are my main primary weapons. I choose consistency over ttk. With the slide nerf too, 180s arent impacted so hard by this
It hurts my soul to see Vulpecula in the D tier. Such a beautiful looking weapon with a unique report to boot. Been using a killing wind/explosive payload roll and doing decently well with it, but I agree - 180s need some love to ever be truly competitive.
I like vulpecula, but I rolled a really nice epitaph early in the season and it feels like a dream to use. 180s are not in a good spot but that one puts in work for me.
23:06 honestly survivors is probably my favorite 180 hand cannon .3. got one of the god rolls for it. At least what I consider to be one. Rapid hit, kill clip. With a range masterwork. Love this thing
I also use epitaph I don’t have a god roll yet and also I haven’t been playing long enough to chase down any of the better ones but it’s my go to hand cannon for 1290
The Seventh Seraph feels good. It has really good recoil and a decent model, so it doesn't obstruct nearly as much. And if you get timed payload, it's low range is heavily compensated for. And at more range, it's extra flinch does that bit more for you.
Fun fact for people who didn't know this. If you are in pve (don't really think you'd be able to utilize this to its fullest extent in pvp) you can repeatedly kill ads with drang to load the overcharge rounds into Sturm, but since you aren't overcharging rounds already in the mag like ace does, you can abuse the crap out of it, getting over 100 rounds in one mag of Sturm. Its ridiculous and makes no sense but it is so fun to have a bottomless Sturm mag.
Nice Breakdown. Always love having a video that gathers info of an archetype and flushes it out for a future reference use or to see how things evolve over time!
I definitely have to disagree on Waking Vigil. I have a range finder/kill clip roll and it's magical. Is it S- tier? No, but it can absolutely hang in the A- tier. I feel like it's a very easy hand cannon to use and range finder definitely makes it competitive. But thanks for compiling this and other lists, it's tremendously helpful.
@@sea4524 beauty cheers dude, kinda just wanna see how crimson stacks up to other pulses and weird things like that. Appreciated tho I'll go find that next 😂
@@PattycakesGaming coolguy would like to know your location (of putting Vulpecula in F Tier lol). But seriously not all 180s are truly bad. Some I do agree but others no. Also, I find Sturm to be an A Tier handcannon considering how consistent and reliable it truly is. Ancient Gospel deserves S Tier because of how good the stats, Perks, and builds with it are. Eriana's Vow should have its own Tier called Eriana's Vow because of how unique it and special it is (get it? Lol)
Made it to the end. Ace of spades Fatebringer, and Judgement (and Igneous) are definitely my favorite hand cannons for good range and being able to two tap
I have gotten exactly one Nation of Beasts in the last year. I had no idea about god rolls or Crucible meta or anything when I first started, which is when I got it out of one of the soloable chests in Last Wish. I tried to keep one of each weapon whenever cleaning out my vault, and a couple of months ago realized I still had that Nation of Beasts... with Opening Shot + Explosive Payload. Easily my favorite 140 hand cannon since I started using it. If I'm using an energy primary, it is almost always my go-to. I do swap in Igneous Hammer from time to time, or the occasional pulse rifle, but I truly love my Nation of Beasts.
Would love a quick update to this now with austringer! Fatebringer vs austringer is a tricky one for me :) after in air changes on stompee hunter avenue too good not to use. thanks
Great tier list Patty. Recently been running Hawkmoon in Trials, been having a lot of fun with it but man you are so right about the awful in-air accuracy. Last night I got an Adept Pally though so I'm looking forward to giving it a whirl later.
I think the reason Igneous as well as other 120s are still so good for me is their rate of fire matches up very well with my strafe speed. Meaning it is a lot easier to time peek shotting with these than it is with 140s. I find myself popping back behind cover way more with 120s than 140s in which I usually am maybe moving a bit but staying out of cover
Big same. Peek shotting just feels easier with 120’s. Plus the big damage can really pair well with shotguns(pop a shot with your igneous, then switch to shotty to gain the kill distance advantage).
Maybe get someone who plays controller regularly to rate the 180s. For us they’re actually pretty consistent options. Vulpecula with killing wind and multiKC is actually quite decent as well as survivors epitaph.
Tbh i don't really see a reason to use them besides fun even on console i will use my rapid hit kill clip survivors every once and awhile for 6s but in comp/trials is always going to be pali/fatebringer
Thanks for these! Glad you did an updated list after the 120 nerf. For a long time I wasn't good with any hand cannons and then the austringer came out and I fell in love with 3 different rolls I had. Then sunsetting happened and I avoided hand cannons once again. When hawk moon was re-released the awesome base stats and random rolls and the lethality of paracausal shot got me using it regularly and I started finally feeling comfortable with a hand cannon. Then they got reworked and 120's were so dominant I felt like it was impossible to compete with the hawk moon anymore. I did use 120's and an empowering rift every now and then But quickly reverted back to my pulse rifle ways (especially since new 540 options became available) . After the 120 nerf and watching this video I finally pulled the hawkmoon out again and my old dire promise as well, and I'm finally having fun with hand cannons once again.
i’m glad you broke some of these guns into two separate tiers depending on the platform, back when I used to play on controller I was absolutely insane with the Last Word, now that i’m on mouse and keyboard I struggle to be consistent. I feel the same way about Pulse rifles, my go to hand cannon is Ace of Spades but I didn’t expect it to be ranked S tier
I like that you went into some of the combos that can elevate these hand cannons beyond what they are on their own. I played Trials this weekend with Lumina, Boots of the Assembler on bottom tree stormcaller and holy moly! Being able to stand in an empowering rift and buff the damage of my team mates even at a distance with no noble rounds in the gun was clutch. And for team mates with 140 or 120 hand cannons with 20% damage boost and arc souls shifts the ttk for all of you. If you have a mad lad with a 180 that boost will be allowing 3 taps. For someone who isn’t the best at consistently hitting crits being able to buff my team mates means I’m able to help the carries carry me.
My only gripe with ace is it’s recoil, thing kicks like a mule on controller for me lol, my time lost fatebringer has double the stability and it’s my go to hand cannon
I think you’re really sleeping on survivor’s epitaph. It might be my favorite gun in the whole game! I only switched to keyboard recently and can barely aim in PVP, but the stupidly vertical recoil makes it at least twice as reliable for me as almost anything else
@@Vexternall Ok, thanks for trying to insult me when I openly admitted I wasn't very good, glad we got that out of the way. All I'm saying is that I personally think they aim really reliably, and that's helpful if you're not in the top ten percent of all destiny players. I'll probably switch to a 120 once I have a little bit more practice, but for now I'll stick to landing twice as many kills with my "bad" gun, thanks.
@@maxheath1158 I’m glad you found enjoyment in using the 180s. They’re still decent with the right perks. Who cares about the meta when you just want to have fun.
I think Harmony alone gets Vulpecula to C tier. Your suggestion bump 180's to 200's is a neat idea because as you mentioned, they are useless in PvP minus some niche use cases.
WHILE I AGREE that 180s are generally trash, and I understand the recoil covering up the target is a big issue, I think you did Posterity dirty. With killing wind and rampage, it feels like a better luna/NF, and I think it deserves a B-tier for 6s
I wish they was better I feel more comfortable with the 180s over the others. I mean after the first shot with the ignious hammer it's hard to get that se on head shoot due to the gun rising up for me
I really want to like posterity, I’ve tried to like it ever since DSC first came out… by I just can’t stand it lol. Something about how it blocks the target makes it so hard for me to use
I love Crimson, with its essentially bottomless clip and healing factor if you're good with it you can take out the entire opposing team, I cleared a Trials round within a minute with Crimson before my team even got to firing any shots, you can't rely on headshots only though, just keep it pointed at the chest for the first 2 shots and then let it recoil and you'll almost always be at head height on the 3rd shot of the burst, coupled with 2 charges of light if the opponent isn't running high res stats they're toast within 2 bursts, 3 if they have high res, and because you're not trying to land all headshots but rather 2 body shots per burst, you don't have to worry about the guns recoil blocking the target or worry too much about being slightly off target
Heh. Love your stuff, Patty. I like the call out for "Snifer Rifle". Did you catch the "Battle of Mantle Harmony" during the Igneous section? 😂 Keep it up.
True Prophecy with timed payload has been my favorite most consistent hand cannon I've ever used. Ace for sure is the best hand cannon but, if you find a weapon that just works for ya, you should use that instead.
I agree with the Loud Lullaby's placement a lot. It's one of my favorite hand cannons I'm not gonna die, and it does hurt in the stat and magazine department. Having a roll with fluted barrel is my ideal since it already kicks so hard at super long distances base. So, my roll that I use is, Hammer Forged, Appended Mag (tac mag brings it to 9 appended is 10) Heating up and Kill Clip with a stability masterwork. Now, hear me out on heating up. I'm taking heating up over tunnel vision or surplus specifically because, I play on hunter and am super fast paced in my gameplay which means I use my abilities a lot on top tree goldie. So, surplus sucks considering I have all my abilities used up 24/7. So, heating up over tunnel vision, it lasts 5/5 seconds, the reload is about 3 seconds and I have 5 seconds of kill clip about 2 seconds of heating up being active, and because of my play style since I'm always in an engagement, getting a 2 tap in that period of time is actually fairly easy, especially since I have knock 'em down and heating up active to provide not only a massive and very noticeable stability boost, but also maxed out recoil direction and 15% accuracy cone growth, basically the aim assist is insane. Tunnel vision improves accuracy and handling, but since the weapon is already out I don't need handling, so stability +accuracy is a better choice. This is the most aggressive 120 hand cannon currently obtainable and it's incredibly fun. I got a we ran with this gun so I can say it's a certified A- tier weapon with the possibility at being used in high end pvp with devastating results if you master it.
First off, thanks for taking the time and effort to put this video together. Massively appreciated! How does one acquire the Palindrome nowadays though? Is it still obtainable?
Nice List, I've been watching your rankings vids since i got back to D2 after a 2 year hiatus. I'm LOST will all the new stuff. Appreciate your hard work and your voice is soothing and clear.
I personally think Ancient Gospel is an easy S Tier because of its Stats. It comes with max Recoil. YES it is chunky but the cleanliness of its chunkiness is actually really great. I have a high Stability Slideshot + Swashbuckler roll that DOESNT MOVE.
I'm not great with Hand Cannons but I gotta say my Igneous Hammer (Not adept sadly) slaps. Extended Barrel, Light Mag, Killing Wind, Elemental Capacitor and a Handling MW gives it 83 Range and 88 Handling because I mostly use it on Striker. Frontal Assault, Path of Burning Steps and CWL stuff gets it 2 tapping all over the place in 6v6 modes. Very fun, must recommend.
I think it would be interesting to make a list based on every hand Cannon at their peak of destiny 2, sunset or not. Would be interesting to see where you'd place midnight coup, og Luna's howl, duke, trust etc. Hand cannons have pretty much always excelled at one point in time so I think this would make for an interesting video
If I may chime in for a second, both judgment and annual should be in the same category (A -/+) tier with the correct roll. I did not see you mention it, but with slideshot and timed payload you get a massive boost to range and flinch, add a range MW, Acc rounds and your sight of choice, it can duel with any HC in the game. If you want to try the roll out for you self patty i can let you use my acct, but they are very underated HC's. Same goes for Nation of Beasts, which can roll with explosive rounds and opening shot, essentially an energy Fate Bringer.
The only thing 180s are good for is that with emp rift/harmony/kill clip or any other medium to high damage buff will elevate their ttk to 0.67. They also feel good on controllers and terrible on mnk.
My favorite hand cannons are palindrome and Survivor's epitaph. Pali pairs incredibly well with chaperone if you have a roll with guickdraw and Survivor's epitaph with kill clip has an insane ttk. Sad to see it so low. Excellent tier list tho. I really love how you do a semi in depth breakdown instead of just putting it in a tier with little to no explanation.
I feel like people always forget about the second part of Sturm's perk that makes it great in my eyes - it refills your secondary on kill. With a shotgun or sniper it's not great, but I love running Sturm with proximity grenades on a breach grenade launcher. If you get a prox blast hit with the gl, you can whip out the sturm to clean up with a body shot and get your gl reloaded immediately.
Before i watch this video i just wanted to say its amazing how you always make time for imformal vidioes thank you for the time and effort you put into this 💗
i don’t seem to have the problem that you mentioned for crimson, like ok the burst is a little hard to control but if you control it well that all 3 rounds hit the head it’s godly, with its long range and fast ttk (provided you know the recoil) make it a very good pick to pair with nearly any secondary, i would place it in s tier, but it is nice to see other people’s opinions on the gun
Malfeasance will probably need a re-evaluation next season. Bungo mentioned in a twab they were looking at it and I think it's probably getting a catalyst next season.
I’m a Sturm main and I must say that you should have noted how broken Sturm and Drang is together like it’s insain with a 57 hs the Drang is a beast at close to medium range and the Sturm at medium to long range Jesus it slaps - but still good video got my sub
Hey man thanks so much for the video I’m a PvE player and suck at PvP (in D2 and other games lmao) and don’t understand rolls very well but I had and put on the Nation of Beasts roll you showed and played some IB and wow, my KD was rising higher after every match. I’d never seen my character on anywhere except the edge in the intro scene before and its silly but I was really pleased when I moved from that spot lol. Thanks for the cool video I understand HC rolls a lot better now👍👍 subscribed and will look forward to more videos
I once wiped a whole Trials team with Sunshot. However, I have not been able to replicate this feat. Sunshot can potentially be lethal in PVP but it's difficult to master.
I've been farming Garden as of late, trying to get god rolls for Ancient Gospel, Zealots Reward, and Sacred Provenance Legit got a Smallbore, Ricochet, Rapid Hit and Rangefinder roll for Gospel, with Stability masterwork, and god damn I'm in love
Malfeasance is a very niche weapon but if you pair it up with lucky pants and get the 10x damage buff you can pretty much deal ace of spades damage with a fast firing 180rpm hand cannon. I’ve always called the malfeasance the super slayer plus with the explosive worm, you’ll be able to shred anyone with a super build also getting 10x stack is easy with a 180rpm hand cannon. It’s a niche build but god is it fun to use against panic supers.
Nice Video man. Thank you for updating these lists. I’m sure it gets onerous at times, but I know I really appreciate the content. I don’t play the “Meta” very often, so it’s nice to have options. I don’t take issue with people playing the meta, I just enjoy trying to counter it with different weapons. These lists help me to experiment
Your ranking list is the only list I’ve seen that incorporates both mouse and keyboard and controller ratings. Most others will just blow it off and say “I don’t care, this is my tier list. Take it or leave it” (a.k.a. Wallah) and ignore certain weapons simply because they’re bad with them when they’re actually really good weapons. Plus you incorporated both gameplay and on-paper stats to compare if it’s actually good or not based on what it says on paper. 🙌🏻
I feel when Killing Wind is activated on The Palindrome, it feels so much more accurate and forgiving at range. Also the increased mobility and strafe speed is very nice. Probably one of the better perks at the moment.
I never cared about finite impactor until I got a no distractions elemental capacitor role. It's essentially snapshot no distractions, it perks almost instantly and it's allowed me to win some gunfights that I would have lost to flinch. However it is lacking in almost every other respect so I only really use it when I'm using a slower wielding shotgun in my kinetic slot
My problem with hand cannons (140s) is that the gun’s visual recoil knocks the sights away from your field of view, so I end up missing because the sight hadn’t centered in the screen yet. I need to learn to take my time with my shots (DONT USE FULL AUTO RETROFIT)
Awesome list. For me, my Bottom Dollar ranks S tier. I get more kills on it than any other handcannon, even more than Ace. The roll I have is Polygonal rifling, Accurized Rounds, Feeding Frenzy, Opening Shot, w/ Counter-balance mod. And a handling masterwork. It has great range, handles and fires almost like a 140, and shots are so sticky with it.
True prophecy was one of the first handcannons I ever got. I got a explosive payload grave robber roll, which isn’t great, but I masterworked it and kept it. All my friends said it was trash, untill it became unobtainable and 120’s were amazing. I still use mine, along with fatebringer, ace, and hawkmoon. ~ your freindly neighborhood catgirl, Enju~
I have a couple crazy range energy 120s that I like to use, pairing them with lucky pants and last word so I never have to reload and I'm covered at most distances. You weren't kidding when you said that explosive payload rangefinder bottom dollar feels like a sniper rifle 🤣
If you don't need Third Eye, and you're in situations where you can't get Mori Rounds reliably, Hawkmoon is simply a superior handcannon to Ace for your 1v1's, in my opinion. Ace has clunky stability and handling, and needs to clutch on High Caliber Rounds for its unbuffed duels. It has good reach, but so can Hawkmoon. Meanwhole, Hawkmoon can have very cozy stability and over 80 handling that scales up to 100 with Paracausual stacks. Its damage falloff also goes up by about +1 meter per stack of Paracausal Charge with the catalyst, so you could even run Opening Shot instead of Rangefinder and still make Ace sweat. In my eyes, Hawkmoon not having Icarus is still only as bad as Ace not having Icarus. Hawkmoon is like a souped up Dire Promise that can actually hang with the current meta, so for all of this combined I think Hawkmoon is a worthy contender for S tier with the right rolls.
I can't believe I have more kills with Lumina than you, even though I barely played PvP until recently. Give it a chance! I love the way it looks, sounds and feels, and it triggers Benevolent Dawn. What's not to like? I'm currently using a Wolftone Draw with Harmony (I used to use Better Devils and Subtle Calamity back in the day). Currently trying to get a High Impact Reserves Frozen Orbit (1/62 chance for a decent roll). I hate big perk pools. It makes your desired roll harder to get and the overlap of perks between weapons erases any sense of identity they could have had.
I agree with everything except igneous hammer. I think it’s A+ and not the same as loud and crimills. It has the best base stats and only 120 adept mods. I guess it’s missing “2 tap” but it has amazing combos. With the recent new perks that basically buff the gun even more and basically counter the downsides of a 120. High caliber is nuts when shooting people at 40 meters. Things like overflow/rampage for quick play. And the roll I use is quickdraw/snapshot for trials. Elemental capacitor is a thing now. Trials is not agony for casual players anymore. I recommend quickdraw snapshot for sniper players is amazing maybe elemental can do it better but I don’t main arc at the moment. The range does make a difference in trials. Look at the A- row I swear if we had to Pick a gun to stay with forever everybody is going to pick hammer even if it isn’t adept.
I'm not good at pvp but I definitely love this tier lists. I know it's nearly impossible to have them updated every season but for sure are top tier content.

I agree, 180s are super consistent even on M&K
Agree. I out duel 140s and 120a in trials with it frequently. Once kill clip procs, it's over. Throw on wormhusk and dodge reload...almost broken.

Ah yes, my favorite Warlock exotic, Battle of Mantle Harmony
Lmao I caught that too
I was wondering if I was the only one that caught that. LOL
@@jjfordingpoursoulstudios8581 same
Im confused
@@drippycrusader It's called Mantle of Battle Harmony.
My favorite hand cannon are Palindrome and Crimson. I know Crimson is mostly on honorable mentions lists instead of bring top 10, but I always do pretty well with it. The flinch makes one on one battles fun. Even on PC it's good if you can control it.
On console its is the absolute horror to play against IMO. I can often barely manage to not rage-quit as soon as I hear the sound of a Crimson
@@silash.5429 crimson and last word on console are for trashcans lol
@@NMMShred My entire destiny 2 pvp career would like to have a chat with you
@@NMMShred While I think last word is still manageable I still agree with you
Crimson is easy mode
Igneous hammer with celrity is great. The +20 handling and reload just makes it feel so much better. Throw fluted+handling mw on that and it's crispy. Also the ikelos HC actually has some unique things about. Firstly, it's the highest range 180 HC with 33m effective range because of seraph rounds and it can also roll with ramage which lets you 3 tap.
12:36
Battle of Mantle Harmony lol
Great Vid Patty. I appreciate the level of detail.
You're right about sturm. Sturm exotic works with everything, while drang perk only works with sturm
Im still on the vulpecula god roll search
I agree with this wholeheartedly. I have a reconstruction/ opening shot Posterity and it actually feels fairly good in PvP. I would put it in C or B, but admittedly no higher.
I main survivors epitaph and it took me to flawless in trials. We need a tier list from a controller player
Taking that sweet Encore + Explosive payload Vulpecula to Flawless every weekend
i love Vulpecula as well, i got outlaw+kill clip, it makes me happy every weekend.
I like vulpecula, but I rolled a really nice epitaph early in the season and it feels like a dream to use. 180s are not in a good spot but that one puts in work for me.
A lot of players are sleeping on a Killing Wind/Adagio Vulpecula, kills turn it into a 150 rpm with 2 head 1 bodyshot kills.
Headstone let’s go
Who here remembers “Austringer” when that came out it was sooo deadly. Can’t wait for Eyasluna.
It still is, Eye of the Storm and Rangefinder forever ;-;.
First gun
"The ace of spades is without a doubt the best hand cannon in the game"
Tier list over
Nice Breakdown.
I remember coming back to destiny 2 and having that true prophesy with range finder and explosive payload sitting around, so that was cool
This is massive Ty patty. You gonna do the other weapons as well or is this just a one off?
He has a few others like pulse rifles and there are very similar videos scattered around
@@sea4524 beauty cheers dude, kinda just wanna see how crimson stacks up to other pulses and weird things like that. Appreciated tho I'll go find that next 😂
I’ve done a lot of them, prob doing subclass and exotics again first then maybe going back to things like SMG/scout/etc
@@PattycakesGaming sounds grand to me man, and considering your opinion is pretty factual I'll be excited to see more. Keep it up!
The epitaph deserves more love than C tier. I love the feel of the 180 archetype
I always look forward to the hand cannon tier lists, gonna go get the popcorn 👀
Would love a quick update to this now with austringer! Fatebringer vs austringer is a tricky one for me :) after in air changes on stompee hunter avenue too good not to use. thanks
Planning to do an update this summer most likely
My Loud Lullaby with slideshot and kill-clip is nuts. Handling or range masterwork is great.
After the 120 nerf and watching this video I finally pulled the hawkmoon out again and my old dire promise as well, and I'm finally having fun with hand cannons once again.
finally! it's here! before I watch, ancient gospel better be at least an A- tier. I have 7,600 kills on mine 😄
i’m glad you broke some of these guns into two separate tiers depending on the platform, back when I used to play on controller I was absolutely insane with the Last Word, now that i’m on mouse and keyboard I struggle to be consistent. I feel the same way about Pulse rifles, my go to hand cannon is Ace of Spades but I didn’t expect it to be ranked S tier
Thorn is still my go to weapon. It just feels so easy to use for some reason
Because its the easiest handcannon to use an takes less skill then last word lol
Ok sure, hawkmoon doesnt have ace's perks but it just feels soooo smooth its like it hits headshots for you, its almost unfair
Made it to the end. This is what I needed as someone who loves TLW but isn't sure what else to use MnK.
My only gripe with ace is it’s recoil, thing kicks like a mule on controller for me lol, my time lost fatebringer has double the stability and it’s my go to hand cannon
I'm so happy I'm not the only one who feels like ace bucks hard as hell on controller
Same for me. Can't hit anything with that gun. Pali is my go to gun.
Try ace with bottom tree golden gun
The best looking Hand Cannons are
1. Lumina
2. Thorn
3. Malfeasance
4. Sunshot (base one)
5. Ikelos
6. Loud lullaby
I think you’re really sleeping on survivor’s epitaph. It might be my favorite gun in the whole game! I only switched to keyboard recently and can barely aim in PVP, but the stupidly vertical recoil makes it at least twice as reliable for me as almost anything else
You suck at pvp, nobody is sleeping on it 180s are very shit
Made it to the end. I have a nation of beasts that I love, can’t remember the exact role off the top of my head.
I think Harmony alone gets Vulpecula to C tier. Your suggestion bump 180's to 200's is a neat idea because as you mentioned, they are useless in PvP minus some niche use cases.
I wish they would make ADS on last word viable again. Such a cool animation to be wasted like that.
WHILE I AGREE that 180s are generally trash, and I understand the recoil covering up the target is a big issue, I think you did Posterity dirty. With killing wind and rampage, it feels like a better luna/NF, and I think it deserves a B-tier for 6s
Survivor’s Epitaph with Surplus/Multikill Clip is d1 and luna’s howl nostalgia, my favorite feeling hc
Vulpecula surprised me this season, actually. I’ve seen also seen people doing really well with Survivor’s Epitaph.
@@PattycakesGaming like I know in my heart that you're right but Posterity my boy 😔 also great content ggs
I love Crimson, with its essentially bottomless clip and healing factor if you're good with it you can take out the entire opposing team, I cleared a Trials round within a minute with Crimson before my team even got to firing any shots, you can't rely on headshots only though, just keep it pointed at the chest for the first 2 shots and then let it recoil and you'll almost always be at head height on the 3rd shot of the burst, coupled with 2 charges of light if the opponent isn't running high res stats they're toast within 2 bursts, 3 if they have high res, and because you're not trying to land all headshots but rather 2 body shots per burst, you don't have to worry about the guns recoil blocking the target or worry too much about being slightly off target
you forgot dmt, everyone knows its just a long hand cannon lol
Absolutely I love scouts except that one
Time to update this list
Crimson on console is actually insane. Paired with found verdict it’s carried me flawless so many times.
Riiswalker and Sunshot pair really well with each other.
First off, thanks for taking the time and effort to put this video together. Massively appreciated! How does one acquire the Palindrome nowadays though? Is it still obtainable?
You can get it from nightfalls on specific weeks
I got an Adept Palindrome with Killing Wind/Rampage this weekend from a GM. It's an absolute terror in PVP. It's definitely worth grinding for.
Gotta appreciate the sheer amount of effort this guy puts in for one video
Nice List, I've been watching your rankings vids since i got back to D2 after a 2 year hiatus. I'm LOST will all the new stuff. Appreciate your hard work and your voice is soothing and clear.
Thanks!
I personally think Ancient Gospel is an easy S Tier because of its Stats. It comes with max Recoil. YES it is chunky but the cleanliness of its chunkiness is actually really great. I have a high Stability Slideshot + Swashbuckler roll that DOESNT MOVE.
WOW Patty is that your timelost fatebringer roll? I literally said “OH MY GOD” out loud when I saw that screenshot!
Haha yep!
Nice video! I'd put Sturm a bit higher since no other 120s really compete with it's stats. Love your tier lists :)
officer revolver with timed payload is criminally underrated
Just got an adept Palindrome with fluted barrel, ricochet rounds, killing wind, range finder, and is a range master work. Very excited!
These videos are super helpful for returning players like me
I'm not great with Hand Cannons but I gotta say my Igneous Hammer (Not adept sadly) slaps.
Sometimes things just don’t catch on, whether it’s good or not, I never use sturm or drang because they just don’t click
Great and descriptive vid! NGL I love all the hand cannons. kills with them on both PVE and PVP feels great!
hey i'm in this video in the crimson portion! you dusted me a couple times but i'm glad to make the cut haha. gg and much love
I’ve learned so much and improved immensely from a lot of the tips in your videos. Thank you for taking time to help people improve!
Malfeasance will probably need a re-evaluation next season. Bungo mentioned in a twab they were looking at it and I think it's probably getting a catalyst next season.
My favorite HC
I've been farming Garden as of late, trying to get god rolls for Ancient Gospel, Zealots Reward, and Sacred Provenance
Legit got a Smallbore, Ricochet, Rapid Hit and Rangefinder roll for Gospel, with Stability masterwork, and god damn I'm in love
bro really had it out for me showing those thorn clips
Malfeasance is a very niche weapon but if you pair it up with lucky pants and get the 10x damage buff you can pretty much deal ace of spades damage with a fast firing 180rpm hand cannon. I’ve always called the malfeasance the super slayer plus with the explosive worm, you’ll be able to shred anyone with a super build also getting 10x stack is easy with a 180rpm hand cannon. It’s a niche build but god is it fun to use against panic supers.
Made it to the end! Love your videos. I hate to say it but I fully agree with the waking vigil ranking :( it was my favorite hand cannon in season 13
Thanks! Trying to be open minded about it even though I personally play MKB mostly
I feel when Killing Wind is activated on The Palindrome, it feels so much more accurate and forgiving at range. Also the increased mobility and strafe speed is very nice. Probably one of the better perks at the moment.
Exactly what I was looking for Patty! Thanks
I’ve grown to really love The Last Word at the minute. It just needs a decent catalyst now and it will likely be a main stay in my inventory.
I've been using Slideshot and Opening Shot Annual Skate. Honestly it surprised me how good it felt. Like Waking Vigil in its glory days.
