This obviously took a lot of work. High effort content, very informative, funny… the other d2 youtubers are all just throwing up gameplay for 10min or reading the twab with predictable commentary. Keep it up!
At first I was disappointed to see this wasn't a weapon tier list however, this was the BEST video you have made and I really appreciate the work you put into it.
Yeah, cause it’s not like there isn’t a million of those already on TH-cam or anything. If there’s anything we definitely need, it’s more destiny 2 weapon tier lists.
The thing that makes me so happy watching this video, is that I have use all of this play styles like a mad man and its the main reason why I still love this game.
I went against a snipelion in trials just once. I thought he was trolling until he wasn't. I tried to replicate the playstyle and it was surprising how easy it was due to the exotic perk. The only downside is that if the opponent is any decent with the movements and know how to dodge or bait your grenade, you're pretty much done for. Works wonders on top tree dawn and very dificult to counter even with good movements for obvious reasons.
Great vid patty. On the bow swap playstyle, the hand cannon clean up is usually the go to, but you can pair it nicely with a sidearm for those up close matches. Seasons ago Id use the old fashioned with explosive and QD with monarque for the mid to longer range maps. And a QD breachlight for the more CQC maps. No one expects to get melted by a sidearm in mid to close range.
I'm very sad that you didn't do the infinite ability, max support, healing build with Well of Radiance, Lumina and Boots of The Assembler. I give it a solid B-Tier since it's essentially infinite overshields/damage boosts for the whole fireteam with little effort and it can be paired with the one-shot Body Sniper build to give it some more juice.
"Huh, wonder if this'll include my style." (Literally first one mentioned is standard go-to for objective play) "...welllll shit." Time to get good and try some of these other ones. Honestly, I think Snipelion might be more viable now thanks to the infinite primary weaponry. Wonder how they messed with Fighting Lion for it...
Grenade launcher/shotgun user here, while switching between autos, pulses and hand cannons. Grenade launchers are fun because they can hit tricky shots and bring opponents down low so your primary can finish them off, or vice versa. Shotguns are fun because they shut down close encounters, while your primary covers distances.
This video has some really nice energy all throughout, I loved watching it! Thank you for putting the effort to make this feel great to watch and also learn from
I'm a mix of back of the map scout and smg guy lately. I've been running double primary with dmt and shayuras wrath and it's been great start from the back, clear out guys, then move up. I have close range protection, and I can push if need be, or I can take those long range fights.
Blink main here. I didn't even realize the handling penalty induced by blink, but makes sense. I have noticed that ophidian aspects allow for faster blink to shoot time than the astrocyte verse does. The radar uptime, limited cooldowns and additional distance make astrocyte excellent for movement though. Almost a necessity with nova warp IMO
This is an awesome video. I enjoyed it a lot. Shows destiny has a lot of play styles. There are some play styles missing. I’ve seen people use arbalest or titan peacekeepers are BEAST! I use run and gun style where I have both weapons auto loading holster so I’m always in the fight. There’s also jester hunters and battle harmony warlocks.
Le monarque on revenant use to be really good because 750 smgs sat perfect in between shotguns and 120s with a .67 ttk with the best forgiveness. And le monarque body shot plus withering blade would insta kill. Not anymore but it was amazing
I really enjoy when you and Cammy make videos together. Mostly because I enjoy both of you guys' senses of humor and I enjoy the sound of your voices and insight.
Lately my favorite playstyle is the full supportlock. Bottom tree stormcaller to give my teammates arc souls, lumina for the healing and damage buffs, and boots of the assembler for healing and free noble rounds on my lumina.
9:05 I've been using explosive head bow with top range Shayura's Wrath/Peackeepers combo. Works nicely sans Quickswap glitch. It's also fun to 1 pop supers with the Leviathan's Breath that feeds right into this combo.
I will forever main “No U” arcstrider because I love nothing more than seeing the fear in the eyes of someone who just popped golden gun, unloads the entire clip at me, and can’t believe I’m not dead
The aerial sniper... I'd still miss every shot. 😅 I did win a Survival match as the last man standing on the final round with a Thundercrash killing all three opponents at once. That was my one good PvP moment.
I swear my aim gets nerfed when I try to float on TTD. Idk what happens but I completely forget how to snipe LOL. I've missed more shots on stationary targets with heat rises than I'd like to count 😂
I didn't know you could reflect the active tornado, I thought you had to reflect it when it was being hit. Last night I lost my game 7 in trials cause my teammates tornado turned against him, I thought he had just thrown it directly at the arc staff but I guess he reflected it already on the ground.
With the titan fusion grenades, if you use the Ashen Wake with the middle tree "Roaring flames" perk you can get one shot nades that immediately get refunded after your kill due to guardians counting as multiple kills.
I used tu use the truthteller grenade launcher (has auto loading and disruption break) alongside the Last Word a lot in PvP. Found that the combo works nicely, especialy vs Titans that like to spam shields around corners. Don't want to peek? I'll drop a grenade right next to you, or have it blow up right above the barrier you just casted. Tho admitedly a shotgun would be more useful in some cases, you'll never catch me using Fellwinter's Lie! Now that's an ape's weapon XD
I didn't see my playstyle but I don't play pvp too often. I use rapid fire pulse with a shotty or hand cannon. I stay medium distance and I use a follow up hand cannon kill or I rush with a shotty to prevent health regen. I'm not a good or amazing pvp player but it works really well against close range players
My favorite loadouts are all the various, ridiculous, cancerous loadouts. I don't even go for effectiveness, unless I'm in difficult content with a team. My fave so far is: -Fractethyst. -Mindbender -Tractor It's so ridiculous to run a triple shotty build, I can't help but have fun.
here is game still you never heard about it : bottom tree arcstrider, arcbolt grenade with the bombardiers. i play them with fusion(erentil fr4 or telesto shoting on the flor to use it as a trap) and pulse rifle/ SMG, realy usefull against shot gu aps
HandcannonBowSwappers is no question SS Tier if you're a master of it. Also, Insurmountable Shoulder Charge is one of the most fun things in PvP and Rat King with it makes it have nearly no drawbacks
idk if it was a glitch but the foetracer used to have insane tracking through walls, meaning you could trace them either going to repeek or see them going for another angle to peek you by which time you can nade or tap them... its no longer broken and thats sadd
Ay also forgot the Knife Ricocheters, tried this and it's really good with monte and snake chest is very good in the right hands, but maybe like a 'c' or 'b' on the tier list
All joking aside the scout on is interesting, a bad scout user sits in one spot and it very useless. But a good scout user rotates the map behind teammates chipping damage into the opponents and priming then for teammates, and often is in combat significantly longer than most people with a close range weapon. Someone who is good with a scout is probably one of the most obnoxious things to deal with in the crucible.
I really want to try out graviton forfeit in the crucible, but I'm not stepping foot in there as long as radiant dance machines give a super in 2 dodge charges
Pattycakes, have you tried the Doomfang melee playstyle? Run 80+ melee, bottom tree Sentinel, run and punch for accelerated super charge, pop your super, spam shields, rinse and repeat. You'll have your super up most of the time and the enemy wont know what to do with you.
The fact you didn't mention sweet business with actium war rig titans makes me sad because that's my fav playstyle. It just feels soo great to fire it all the time trigger taped down and then get instakilled.
ngl this was very well done and i couldnt disagree. but now with the changed as a no u arcstrider main since beyond light came out id have to say that its probably higher tier now that you dont run into chaos reach as often and is recent buff. id personally ranks b or a rank in the right hands.
Another well researched & executed video, my guy... Although, I'm super disappointed there wasn't a "hand cannon specialist", literally waited for that one to come up, but no dice 😢
Thanks for all of the work you out into this video. There’s a serious lack of low skill floor Warlock play styles for us scrubs but that doesn’t surprise me.
New verison of this video when?! :D Seriousy, this was my favorite video on D2 ever. Incredibly useful for me as a returning player who likes PvP. There's no other place to learn this info!
Warlock: 0:47 F? Come on. You can practice social distance and still PTFO. 3:07 Lumina and Frozen Orbit 8:01 Never done the swap glitch. I love bows but they do "too much" damage. Teammates can steal your easy kills and smart players disengage immediately. I also play dedicated healer. It's surprisingly effective. Hunter: 9:19 One of my favourites. 11:03 I miss D1's Sealed Ahamkara Grasps. With Monte Carlo, you could have enormous map control. 24:15 I've always found this tactic a waste of one of your abilities. None of my Titan playstyles? Pulse rifle behind a Rally Barricade; Ward of Dawn, Shotgun and Synthoceps.
Fighting lion is the only GL I go "okay thats fair" about. Currently (s14) if I come across someone using a GL I swap to a GL and be toxic right back. But if its fighting lion or witherhoard I ignore it. Fighting lion is an actual skill GL. I mean its still not insanely hard to use but compared to special GLs... its hard.
There's one thing I've never understood about Bungie. They make movement exotics and some have other effects to help weapons (example: transversive reload or peacekeepers list of buffs) but why do dune marchers have to shoot lightning at multiple targets and sometimes even double chain to kill people.
10:37 no, they usually end up bottom fragging because they keep rushing in to be killmongers then blame their teammates because theyre unable to hold back from trying to be the flashiest quickplay world champoon to ever exist.

@Pattycakes Gaming i think you forgot one type - support warlock with healing grenades, lumina and their invincible "F" so they can fight under this healing sword
As a bow and cannon using hunter I feel it's a far more powerful build then you depict it considering it doesn't depend on a super and other play styles can be added to it for example I use top tree night stalker this is a very rounded build maybe not for everyone but I feel it is better then c tier

I think bottom tree Dawnblade will see more play next season. I already run it with Karnstein Armlets for a fun health regen build with Phoenix Dive.
Or use wings on bottom tree to basically get the same effect as top tree hover rn.
Blinky boi main here. Can confirm, once you got it down it's very good. I use it mostly defensively or to finish a clean up.
What about handling crutching, especially w/guns like slugs?
I love these tier lists keep up the good work
this is just a comedy video and i love it, this is so hilarious 😂
The ape holding shotgun make me laugh so hard 🤣
Great work! Man… I am so happy you’re getting to that 100k Sub count. You deserve it more then most. (I’m not being biased because you ran crucible matches with my son Rolo) take care and keep on producing great videos for all.
Haha thank you! :) hope you and Rolo are doing awesome, and I hope he enjoys the sweet business section LOL
