This did make me nostalgic for my old truck. I had a '97 Nissan, last year of the Hardbody model. My dad bought it new and when I turned 16 he gave it to me. I put lowering blocks in the rear and cranked the torsion bars up front. This thing rode worse than a log wagon but it was a blast and I have so many memories of that truck. Unfortunately, I have ZERO pictures of it. :(

@anonymous- no way it's that low, there are so many people with way to much money and not enough common sense @ BJ , just Rabbit's story and the TH-cam publicity will have a couple people in a bidding war over it. Everything goes for 20%+ more than market value at Barrett and that's before they take the 10% VIG on both ends.

My dad passed on his prized Mitsubishi mighty max to me when I graduated. Fresh oem paint with a ratical top, lowered on drop spindles and blocks on the rear. I've kept that time capsule parked for 15 yrs now when I promised myself as a young man not to mess with it until my abilities were good enough. I now own a small restoration shop and the need to restore the mighty max is growing especially when I see these kinds of videos showing love for these mini trucks.
This week: Dustin Worles with a blast from Gumball past, Emile Bouret getting away with on-road shenanigans, Ed Bolian finds another stolen Lambo, and now Rob Pitts buy's a drug dealer's mini truck. Find me a better automotive TH-cam channel...I'll wait.

In the last ten years used car prices have shot up like mad. While deals like this will always be few and far between, there was a lot more, and better deals on cars like this 10+ years ago until cash for clunkers and other such programs blew the used car market up.
Back in the bush where no man should go without his 9 or smith and Wesson by his side, I mean this makes chickens as nervous as they are at a BBQ on superbowl sunday!
I come across deals like this quite often. The scrap value is so incredibly low now and the cash for clunkers was an Obama administration idea that now trucks and cars in bad shape are basically not even worth the hassle of towing them to a scrapyard for a measly $150.
It's all about who ya know, and how ya treat em. If your good to people then they'll be good to you, if you loan em money when they ask for it, I betcha they hook your ass up with some kinda deal whether they just throw ya a pack a smokes or give ya a tattoo for free or on credit. People are nice til ya disrespect em. Gotta have respect for other to get it back for yourself. You young guns remember that

Minitruckin' never went anywhere! The scene and lifestyle has only grew and gotten stronger over the years. These type of trucks are the whole reason I ever learned how to weld and fabricate or do anything with a vehicle. The Mighty Max has always been one of my favorite trucks that i'm just lucky enough to own, even though it took me over a decade to get one. The extended cabs are even more difficult to find. I have a 1994 2.4L Mighty Max sport that I plan to fully build myself in the near future. It's a shame that any of the older minitrucks or cars in general get scrapped because they are built a lot better than the majority of newer vehicles on the road. This is awesome and I hope you make it into a nice truck. The original owner is the kinda person that makes the rest of us minitruckers look bad to people that are uneducated on the culture. We don't need that crap in the scene anyway! If you have any chrome windshield moulding in good shape that you wanna sale, let me know please. I could probably use a few things. L8R.
