It is an old school reference. Back in the day, unless you were close to a big city, people would order their fancy wares (including clothes) from the JCPenney catalog.

@@ahhhue3830 I was just trying to be a smart ass with money bags. C4s can be cheap, yes. Those are the ones that need everything. I'm somewhat familiar with them. I've had 3 C4s. Currently own a 96 lt4

I know the feeling and started having flashbacks to the time when I borrowed a car that had dead tags and no insurance. The owner told me after I drove it across 2 states.
Know the bad part about that is? The more legal you drive following the books to the T the more suspicious you look. I know of a few drug busts by officers because they tailed a car following thr book to the T. Popped the lights on, and off they took. That or they pull over, no return for the vehicle, and the officer sees contraband in the vehicle which ends up being a search leading to an arrest and a lot of drugs inside. Even 1 car that was actually stolen

Ed and Rabbit are a great duo for an election. Ed is the smart guy who can glad hand and really get on policy. Your VP has to be able to be a backdoor wheeler-dealer with strong instincts, and Rabbit has that in spades.

You could park a C4 outside a shop and when you came out it'd be facing the other way, that's how easily they'd spin.
I’m always mentioning the problem with loose ass end of the Corvette, especially the C4.

I've owned two C4s. An 85 and a 92. That's the first time I've heard that one. They all seem to be good handling cars to me.

It's been too long since a rabbit story
I met Camiee E. on a Hot Rod Power tour....she was extremely nice ....
CE was my guess at 4:36.
Chad Varnell we met her and she introduced us to her pops. They were really down to earth. We ended up sitting with her at one of the lunches that was provided.
I met them on Power Tour '99 in Albuquerque (If I remember right? It may have been at the next stop in Amarillo. It was kind of a blur already by then.) I also met The Poteet's (a APD officer nearly smashed into the Bisquick Biscayne next to me leaving a stop light), and several more big name hot rod builders. Many moons have passed, a few good concussions don't help either... I do remember it was a great time. It was the perfect decompression road trip after my 1st divorce.
@@chadvarnell1889 I did he 99 as a long hauler. Yeah cool memories. I do have video transferred to dvd.. It was 20 years this week. I framed all my leather coasters from all the stops.
Cool! We were probably not far from each other a few times. I didn't get to do as much of the tour as I wanted. I worked construction then, and my pay was delayed that week, which delayed my leaving. Then I got some bad gas in Amarillo. When I got back to Tulsa, I decided to play it safe after the meet at the Admiral Twin Drive In and put home instead of continuing on. I filled up later the next day, and the stumbling problem I thought might be an intermittent spark issue cleared up after about 15 minutes of driving. I had only had my '78 Pontiac T/A for a few weeks then. That was also a shake down run for it. It was the most reliable hot rod I have ever had.
Man, that chair has so much history behind it. I’d love to go into the office where all of these amazing stories are created

God just in time I really needed this pick me up. I think C4’s are the wildchild corvette due to the drugs/lifestyle that was going on during that era + the rock and roll (Motley Crue) etc the image that was going on. Plus it’s the birth of the classic corvette style that lasted for decades after.

first vid ive seen with rabbit. great storyteller for sure. as for my corvette story, it was indeed a c4. i worked at a tire shop, was pulling a customers c4 into the shop for the night. the car had, unknown to me, a fuel leak, which is why it was there, drivability. it burst into flames half way into the garage. my first thought, "oh shit, this car is fiberglass, i need to HURRY". put the fire out, no damage, all was well.
