I agree with you. Virtus is the best looking sedan and City has the most comfortable ingress and egress. And as usual, the most unbiased and reliable video by Autocritic 😊
City is a good car all in all - but I feel the 160mm Ground Clearance creates driving anxiety during monsoon & on bad patches. The only reason I had to reject City (after test ride on roads with potholes) was lower ground clearance; this is one important point you missed to add. It is not that company is not aware about it but not sure about the challenges they are facing to make it better. If City gets ground clearance at par with Skoda & Virtus (179mm) it will sell like a cake. I would recommend city only if it is your 2nd car for driving on good roads. Looks are subjective but personally I feel Skoda Slavia looks (with its driving dynamics), looks much better than any other Sedan as if now. Skoda (& Virtus) has a maintenance package which makes it much competitive compared to other brands for at least first 7 to 8 years. One major difference why people feel Germans are expensive compared to other brands is the service maintenance schedule; it is clocked at 15K (for Skoda/Slavia) compared to 10K with other brand, that means, at the end of 30K you will have to service other brands thrice compared to German cars which is twice, likewise at the end of 60K Germans will be 4 times & other brands will be 6 times so on & so further. If you don't miss your service schedules that German's car will keep you happy. Having said that, exceptions are everywhere but they will certainly have a reason to occur.
Not sure how VW Skoda are worst, i have 7 yrs old Vento and use it very roughly clocked around 1.4 Lakh kms, New verna would be the last i would recommend (I still wonder how it managed to get 5 stars) btw City is good except for ground clearance

Indian car market charm has gone a long back, Accord, CR-V, Jetta, Passat, Endeavour, EcoSport, brilliant Figo, we lost everything, mainly due to the hefty taxes on them, our beautiful Indian government idiots still consider car as a luxury commodity, what to say, still Honda is profitable by exporting the cars from India, they may or may not stop production from India but the export will be there. Another best example is Nissan, their sedans are world class, Altima, Maxima, Almera.....and all these cars are available in small countries like Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia & Middle East markets, we are truly unlucky, we are bound to use Tin sheet Maruti. Tata & Mahindra are good but they can never match the fit and finish of either Japanese, American or European cars, it is not a mindset, real fact, still I love the build quality (Interior & Exterior) of my EcoSport 2020 model, I have auto rain sensing wiper, auto dimming IRVMs, auto headlamp, puddle lamp, sunroof, Cruise with separate speed limiter option, the ultimate thing is the infotainment screen, it was made by Microsoft and EcoSports screen position is the most ideal to see the maps while driving, later Brezza adopted the same thing. All new cars in the market are having small reverse camera screen, but in Ford it will ulitize the complete 8 inch with adaptive guide lines and at night too the camera quality is too good.
Sadly non of them are offering 360 camera. Which is must for such long cars specially in city like Bengaluru. I wanted to buy varna but it is not having 360 camera and head rest for rear middle passanger.

VAG cars are very reliable. Yes, the spare parts cost is 30 to 50% more than other brands. However, things don't break in then easily and they last long if they are maintained properly. You can't buy an Audi and use it like Honda City and expect nothing will go wrong. For reference, VAG ka 1.0 litre engine actually bhp aur torque ke mamle me apni actual potential ke just 35% pe aata hai. VW ne isi 1.0 engine se supercharger lga ke apne OEM map pe 272 BHP aur 270 nm torque nikal rakha hai apni rally car ke liye. Meanwhile, Hyundai gave a statement that their engines are already in a higher state of tune. Bhai ye VAG cars cheez hi alag hai 💯

The person posting these reviews should mention the long term car that they own and drive on a daily basis. We have a Skoda Rapid Diesel DSG from 2019. There is no issue with the gearbox. The car has been driven to Leh and many other hill stations, but not even an iota of a problem in engine or DSG gearbox till date. Further, VW and Skoda provide 4 years 100000 km standard warranty and extended warranty that can be bought for 2 years and again for 2 more years.
