The best and most unbiased review. Kudos to you for this. All reviewers tend to little biased though unintentional many times, but u nailed it. To compare such 4 very capable cars is difficult anyday.
Actually, I'm driving VERNA on a daily basis in city and to give you actual figures, it gives a nominal mileage of 14-15 kmpl in usual traffic. Even, have achieved upto 20 kmpl in the city itself. And on highway, have achieved 23.5 kmpl!
In my opinion, Ciaz should have made it to the comparison list considering its drive quality, dimensions, engine, and most importantly its practicality. Though it has not been facelifted for a while, it still gives a tough competition to its rivals.
Rachit, you mentioned City Hybrid is the only car with Electronic Parking Brake and Auto Hold, but Verna SX(O) Turbo DCT also has. Don’t say it’s only available in the Top Model, because that’s also the same for City.
@@akatechAiwhy proud on Tata and Mahindra? Tata actually loses money on Motors Subsidiary, it’s the TCS, Steel, Insurance and Electronics that make the money they donate.
Safety should be the 1st priority for everyone, please don’t consider verna just for features, jaan hi nahi rahegi to ADAS ka karoge kya. Its very sad to see people choose features over safety, considering more than 4L people die every year from road accidents in india. This video proved Skoda/VW has better ride quality, safety, handling, verna only speaks about features as its hyundai. Choose wisely Superb video motoroctane team, Great comparsion 🔥
One more stupid and misleading comment. VAG twins do offer better build quality but safety features also are a big part of overall safety of a car. Features that prevent crashes at the first place! And that is where Verna excels. Probably it may end up with 4* NCAP too given %HTS has increased in Verna's frame.
@Vardan Rathi oh yeah ADAS will help prevent all accidents on our roads😂. I hope sensible folks choose safety over features, Germans or atleast honda city when it comes to sedans.
Rachit, great job on this fair and thorough comparison of sedans! Initially, I was concerned that after your Verna video, you might show some bias in favor of the Verna. However, your balanced evaluation has proven those worries to be unfounded. You've gone above and beyond to clear up any confusion surrounding the competition between the Slavia/Virtus and Verna. In doing so, you have debunked the misleading claims made by some well-known TH-camrs, who were incorrectly touting the Verna as the superior choice compared to the German competitors. Your dedication to providing accurate information for your viewers is evident in this analysis. However, there are a couple of oversights in your comparison. When discussing rear seat space for the Verna and Slavia/Virtus, you didn't mention that only the Slavia/Virtus offers three headrests, making the Verna's middle passenger less comfortable on long drives. Additionally, the stability and handling of the Verna at higher speeds could have been explored further.
I would pick any car except Verna, but if there was 2018 new gen Verna with 1.6L diesel engine(126hp 260nm and 20kmpl ) I don't think I have any other option picking that verna😅
MotoroOctane cross-brand vehicle comparisons are a blessing to have in a market where manufacturers are cutting corners in important features (like parking sensors, IRVMS, ventilated and cooled seats, etc.) and selling features like sun-roof in a hot and horrible climate like India.
If ur confused between these 4 then Go blindly for City , reasons are simple Best Resale value Most Reliable engine Affordable spares ( compared to germans ) Better service centers and ownership experience ( compared to hyundai ).
All these cars are awesome 👌 I own SLAVIA 1.5 MT where in I am very much satisfied with the performance of this beast and especially mileage in highways 17-19 on 90-120 cruise....even 21 multiple times (ofcourse during low speeds 80 cruise on a rainy day)
Basically , there is no need to go with the head as all 4 are good..so, just go with the heart..whichever u liked at first look itself , that's the choice
I own both the 5th Gen City VX and the 6th Gen Verna SX and the Verna clearly outshines the city given that it's packed with features and its futuristic design. The city's interiors look a bit outdated and some parts including the infotainment come across as aftermarket. Expected a little more from Honda. Verna is the clear winner for me!
Slavia has one major problem. The creaking and rattling interiors. I have 1.0 ambition AT. Except that handling and power are great. I have done 180 on it and it didnt shake

The only problem is, it only powers dream, city 1.5 L engine produces 121 HP and 141nm on the other hand VAG twins 1L turbo make 115hp but more importantly 175nm, so clearly if you are on a budget, the most easy driving car with lots of power would be VAG twins (and also they will have more mileage because of 1 L engine) One more funny thing is VAG cars have the most support when it comes to aftermarket, or even tuning, the same 1L engine produces 145hp and 240nm torque with just Stage 1 tune without changing any internal parts.

Verna is more futuristic than others and it's 1.5ltr turbo makes this car king of this category
The best and most unbiased review. Kudos to you for this. All reviewers tend to little biased though unintentional many times, but u nailed it. To compare such 4 very capable cars is difficult anyday.
Skoda Slavia Best looks and Ground clearance 180 mm
With stiff suspension
Skoda Slavia is best in this category ❤❤
Actually, I'm driving VERNA on a daily basis in city and to give you actual figures, it gives a nominal mileage of 14-15 kmpl in usual traffic. Even, have achieved upto 20 kmpl in the city itself.
And on highway, have achieved 23.5 kmpl!

In my opinion, Ciaz should have made it to the comparison list considering its drive quality, dimensions, engine, and most importantly its practicality. Though it has not been facelifted for a while, it still gives a tough competition to its rivals.
It’s not available for sale Ciaz anymore ! Sadly ! Maybe they are going in for a facelift
Worst car
thank you for choosing these engines. most of the buyers would go for these only.
Honda city❤❤.. father of sedan's
Thanks for this comparison. Really helped me decide which one to buy.
Features wise verna, interior wise slavia, exterior wise virtus
Slavia my baby girl driving in it on highways feels like heaven. Instant stress relief.
Rachit, you mentioned City Hybrid is the only car with Electronic Parking Brake and Auto Hold, but Verna SX(O) Turbo DCT also has. Don’t say it’s only available in the Top Model, because that’s also the same for City.
That was a human error ✌🏻

Safety should be the 1st priority for everyone, please don’t consider verna just for features, jaan hi nahi rahegi to ADAS ka karoge kya.
Its very sad to see people choose features over safety, considering more than 4L people die every year from road accidents in india.
This video proved Skoda/VW has better ride quality, safety, handling, verna only speaks about features as its hyundai.
Choose wisely
Superb video motoroctane team, Great comparsion 🔥
One more stupid and misleading comment. VAG twins do offer better build quality but safety features also are a big part of overall safety of a car. Features that prevent crashes at the first place! And that is where Verna excels. Probably it may end up with 4* NCAP too given %HTS has increased in Verna's frame.

Finallyyyyyyyy!!! It's here...... 🎉🥳🥳😎🔥🔥
Thanks guys, great comparison as always. Keep it up! 👍
I mean there's no problem with middle passenger I own verna it's descent and good and the car is stable at high speed also
Virtus ❤️❤️
Slavia 🔥🔥
proud owner of slavia❤
Any day I pick City ❤
I would pick any car except Verna, but if there was 2018 new gen Verna with 1.6L diesel engine(126hp 260nm and 20kmpl ) I don't think I have any other option picking that verna😅

Salavia and virtus are perfect and best sadan blindly go for them.
MotoroOctane cross-brand vehicle comparisons are a blessing to have in a market where manufacturers are cutting corners in important features (like parking sensors, IRVMS, ventilated and cooled seats, etc.) and selling features like sun-roof in a hot and horrible climate like India.
If ur confused between these 4 then Go blindly for City , reasons are simple
Best Resale value
Most Reliable engine
Affordable spares ( compared to germans )
Better service centers and ownership experience ( compared to hyundai ).
One touch feature in Honda city😍😍😍is love ❤️❤️
All these cars are awesome 👌
I own SLAVIA 1.5 MT where in I am very much satisfied with the performance of this beast and especially mileage in highways 17-19 on 90-120 cruise....even 21 multiple times (ofcourse during low speeds 80 cruise on a rainy day)
Bro ive a 1.5 AT im not getting mialege over 11kmpl. Normally in city im getting mileage bw 5 to9.
Hyundai Verna looks futuristic ❤❤❤
Honda City is the king of this segment. No one can never beat Honda in terms of quality, comfort, technology and reliability.

HONDA CITY.
Slavia looks fantastic❤❤❤
Virtus always ❤
Basically , there is no need to go with the head as all 4 are good..so, just go with the heart..whichever u liked at first look itself , that's the choice
Slavia🔥🔥
Honda City best of All whom are confused about which one to pick.
Also is this Verna colour black or grey used in the test drive ?
I own both the 5th Gen City VX and the 6th Gen Verna SX and the Verna clearly outshines the city given that it's packed with features and its futuristic design. The city's interiors look a bit outdated and some parts including the infotainment come across as aftermarket.
Expected a little more from Honda.
Verna is the clear winner for me!
Nothing beats Verna when it come to styling front n rear look , so futuristic

Slavia has one major problem. The creaking and rattling interiors. I have 1.0 ambition AT. Except that handling and power are great. I have done 180 on it and it didnt shake

Good job MotorOctane for talking about the crash rating and passive safety features! It is really important to bring that awareness to customers!

Honda Fan forever... The Power of Dreams!!
The only problem is, it only powers dream, city 1.5 L engine produces 121 HP and 141nm on the other hand VAG twins 1L turbo make 115hp but more importantly 175nm, so clearly if you are on a budget, the most easy driving car with lots of power would be VAG twins (and also they will have more mileage because of 1 L engine)
One more funny thing is VAG cars have the most support when it comes to aftermarket, or even tuning, the same 1L engine produces 145hp and 240nm torque with just Stage 1 tune without changing any internal parts.
1.5 I-VTEC is anyday much better than that 3 cyl vibrator 1.0 TSI, be it in terms of performance, reliability or refinement!
Overall city engine is much refined and fun to drive than vw
@@shree397 Dude with so many cameras on Highways and Cities, congestions in Cities you actally dont require Pefromance oriented cars rather a reliable car which offers decent safety, performance, space and reliability. Thats where Honda shines above others.
@@shashwatdhaon98 Then what about 1.5 4 cylinder TSI 😂😂😂 you won't have an answer 😂
I don't know what world you live or you live under a rock. The 1L TSI taken from VW UP! was the engine of the year for 4 years straight 😅
Also the days of *ONLY* Honda engines being more durable are gone others have caught up and technology has made almost all the engine problem free for most driving conditions, fuck even Tata engines are unrefined but are reliable. Unrefined ≠ Unreliable. Get your facts straight.
Moreover, every single engine incoming days will be 3 cylinder turbo due to emissions and efficiency reasons, get use to it and get over it.
