✌️✌️✌️ I do too. I don’t think we are going to dominate on either end but I think offensively we will still have a ten 10 offense and if the defense can just improve a little and be close to top 50.. Lynn inherited a bad UCLA defense and far less talented than USC and look at what they did. Also most big ten offenses are 1 dimensional so we will just have to stack the box. They joke about the Pac12 but the Big ten has no QB play.
LSU had a crap Defense last year too, the game in Vegas could be epic or a Trojan romp! I am more worried about Penn St. and ND than Michigan. The Big House will be a huge factor, but the UM is not the same team as last year. They lost most of their team and their coach. They will probably be good later in the season, but early on I have my doubts.
I appreciate you talking about USC is a positive light, but id appreciate it if you stop lol. I want USC to surprise the country. Everyone is already counting them out.
This is the great thing about the off-season. We can talk all about the what if but frankly, nobody knows. SC could run the table or they could totally tank. Who knows. It will be fun to watch.✌️
USC offense BETTER than last year. Better o-line, better receivers, more consistent QB play (Caleb doesnt make quick reads), better TE. Score 40 points consistently per game. Defense, Top 25. Danton Lynn got UCLA to top 15 last year. Excellent secondary, linebackers are finally getting good coaching. Great coaching on d-line will unlock Bear, Anthony Lucas steps up, Fountain off the edge. Hold opponents to average 24 points per game. USC is NOT going to slow down scoring. A great offense allows the defense to take risks - go for turnovers, negative yardage plays, 3 and outs. The opposite of "bend dont break" philosophy on defense. Teams wont be able to keep up with USC. Moss and Maeva might be battling all year.
If Caleb had just taken the easy throws last year, Usc would've won more games, but he lives for the deep ball. Moss will take those easy throws and hit whoever gets open.
Its very weird that the entire college football world acts like the PAC 12 wasnt the best conference (by far) last year. Put that same SC team in last years big 10 conference and they win probably 10 games.
I think you mean offenses suck in the B1G and inflate the defensive #s! 3 offense in the top 50 nationally, can you guess the 3, yep OSU, PSU, UM! Next up Maryland at 50 something!
could be a USC romp! You do realize that LSU had the 118th ranked defense against the pass, 87th against the run, 82nd in ppg last season! This numbers and the fact it is game 1 screams shootout!
LSU has one of the best in not the best O-lines in the CFB. LSU is going to deploy bully ball on USC. We will get to see what that D-line is made of early on. Kaleb Jackson will get 25 carries if the oline is pushing. It will be dink and dunk until the safeties cheat up. Granted it will take Nuss a few quarters to get comfortable with what he will see before taking shots. The ball looks so good coming out of his hand. USC lost three players on the oline it will be interesting to see them start to gel. Two new tackles and a new guard. LSU is good on the edge. I have no idea how good if at all in the interior of the defense will be. They have bodies and experience but a bunch of new faces. I don't think this will be a high scoring game as I think LSU will take the air out of the ball.
Good thoughts, but you dont understand USC. Caleb was a problem, yes, I said that, a problem because he isnt real good at getting through reads. He looks incredible ONLY because he holds onto the ball so long and waits for receivers to come wide open. Moss throws into tight windows, reads fast, throw ball away if nothing there. O-line coach is much happier with players this year. O-line transfers did not work out last year, this year, they have developed players they brought in as freshmen. Left side is excellent - Paige, Pregnon, Monheim. Right guard has two good ones competing. Right guard is the big question. USC offense going to stretch field better than anyone, Duce and JaKobi are unique players that are fast, but cant be guarded by small speedy guys. Will not be low scoring.
@@lawrencesmith9059 Both teams have much to prove in the secondary. Nuss can also do fast reads, hit tight windows and LSU is littered with stud receivers and maybe the best TE in the SEC, but I don’t think they will need to do that. Nice take.
The issue both teams have is the Interior of the DL! I will say if Corey Raymond works a miracle and gets the secondary to play better than 118th in the country they have a good chance of beating USC. If however they didn't make major improvements than they may be in trouble. Nuss has all the arm talent in the world but does have a problem with the int, as we saw last season vs Southern when he threw the most insane pick 6 of LSU's season. Both teams have a ton of question marks and the game will be interesting! I laugh at people who just assume one team or the other is going to just run away with this game.
@@robdavis3967 I don't read much into the Nuss ints. He was either coming in to garbage time or in situations where he had to put it out there. The only game that matter is the Wis game. He did throw an int but it wasn't all his fault and it came at the end of the half when he was taking more chances to see if he could get into scoring position before the half. Yes. Nuss will throw more ints than Daniel's. If you watch the Wis games he was dink and dunk until he figured out coverage then he was launching it down field. He rolled up 400 yards passing against a good defense. He showed a kill instinct to lead LSU to a come from behind win.
Please lets not start hyping up SC. Every time they are expected to have a good year, they tank. Every time they are expected to be bad, they over achieve. SC has a very bad time meeting expectations. Its best for everyone just to keep a low expectation of what they can do. They have not been elite in 20 years. Anytime they get ranked inside the top 15 preseason, they tank and end up the year outside the top 25. Let's expect the worse and hope for the best because any little pressure on them and they crumble.
