    I encourage SEC fans who really want to understand “college football” to study the history o f college football and the rivalry- The Game -between Michigan and The Ohio State. Michigan has the most all time wins in college football. The Ohio State is had highest all time winning percentage. The largest stadiums are in the BIG 10. SEC fans who looked at Michigans win over The Ohio State as an indication of either team’s actually overall capabilities doesn’t get it. This is the biggest rivalry in all of sports. It never fades or tarnishes or takes a back seat. And history has shown that it doesn’t matter how good or bad either team is respectively when they meet either one of them can win.
    To look at the BIG 10 record vs SEC can be misleading. For example, Ohio St lost against Mizzou in 2023 with a lot of starters setting out -not engaged. Sure the win counts but no one with there right mind would say that Mizzou was a better program with a better team.
    Now that the playoff has 12 teams, 4 or 5 of whom are automatic bids, the days of ESPN hyping teams in to 4 committee chosen spots- by a committee made up mostly of southerners-are over.
    In closing here is a bit of trivia. With the exception of LSU and Auburn- who lost to Penn St at home and away games in 2022 and 2023, when was the last time SEC teams-especially Alabama- played a non-conference away game?
    SEC teams have refused for over 20 years to play non-conference away games? They would only play in Arlington, Tx; Orlando; and Atlanta. All in the south.
    Welcome to the reset. Get used to playing north of the Mason Dixon Line.

      UGA plays home/home vs GA Tech every year. Played ND at their place in 2017. Scheduled a home/home w OK in 2023/24, but the game was cancelled because UT and OK were coming into the league the following year and for the two teams to play the game would cause a schedule conflict. For at least the last 25 years, the SEC has had arguably the most talented rosters top to bottom of any conference. Since 2015, the SEC has only had one team from the conference represented in the CFP, with the exception of 2017 and 2022. The SEC won the CFP Championship six times, the ACC twice and the BIG twice. NIL/transfer portal will change the face of NCAA football, and talent will be disbursed to the highest bidder. When's the last time a BIG school came down to Baton Rouge and played an early September game? The weather cuts both ways, and both teams have to play in the same conditions. I would argue it's harder on the fans than the players. I'm good with more college FB. The OSU/TN game promised a lot of intrigue that it failed to deliver. In fact all of the first round games should have been played on campus in the regular season and there would have been no reason to play them again in late December. I expect the New Year's games and the semi's and finals to be great football, which the fans want. But there's no need for 12 teams with the current format.

      UT did well to get the number of tix they did, even considering the fact that it was over break when students were away. Yeah the number of Vols fans was impressive but the "takeover" was purely from having that many in Columbus, even though it was nowhere in near takeover levels. Even so, it was impressive to see that many considering the weather!

    This is the way teams up north have always felt always having to go south for bowl games.

  • @wolfactual9190
    @wolfactual9190 19 วันที่ผ่านมา +8

    To say that "Tennessee fans literally took over the stadium" while also saying that "home field is a massive advantage for the playoffs" sounds a little hypocritical. I mean that obviously wasn't a factor for Michigan was it? Also look back at all the Playoff games and bowl games before this year. THEY ARE ALMOST COMPLETELY IN THE SOUTH. HOME GAMES FOR THE SEC?! I mean it's finally nice to see a southern team come up in the deep of winter and play up where the weather is a great part of the outcome of the game. I think all of the Tennessee players who "warmed up" with their shirts off really back fired on them. I mean those injuries came from having cold muscles. That's no coincidence why all of your best players came off the field at the start of the game. I guarantee if all of the playoffs and national championships were played up north, the Big 10 would flip the script on wins in the post season. Y'all have had home field advantage for decades for the post season it'd be interesting to see that same thing but up North.
    The simple facts are that Tennessee was out coached, out played, out matched, and completely not in the same league as Ohio State. They looked like a Mountain West Conference team at best. To all the SEC fans that think Indiana didn't deserve their spot, just watch the game Indiana had against Ohio State. They played a far more competitive game and honestly I think Indiana would have beat you all! I mean Ohio state brought in the Backups halfway through the 4th qtr. They brought in the 2nd and 3rd string QB's to get in reps against your starters, which is laughable.
    Lane Kiffin and every SEC fan with that mentality is delusional. Most of the college football fans out there are glad that Ohio State served some "humble pie" to an entire conference. I mean they gave your entire conference an identity crisis and it's amazing to finally see the shock. NIL and the transfer portal will continue to sap away the SEC's dominance and this is just the beginning for all of college football. Get used to it. It's clear that this TH-cam channel is still in denial of what had ACTUALLY just happened. The excuses are unacceptable.
    Needless to say, Tennessee does have a bright future ahead of them. Nico is a stud and credit to his unwavering attitude. He was literally the only good thing about Tennessee that night. I wish them the best of luck, just remember this:
    "When people ask you what happened here, tell them the North remembers. Tell them Winter came for the Volunteers." - Will Howard OSU QB

    It's laughable to any OSU fan that such a big deal was made about the UT fans "taking over" the ES(ec)PN College Gameday set. First, it was early in the morning for a night game, so the Bucks fans wouldn't be out on Lane Ave until much later in the day tailgating. Second, ES(ec)PN has been hostile in general to OSU for a very long time and is a blanket shill for the SEC Conference, so a vast majority of OSU fans have abandoned that network. Now, if it was a Big Noon set and that happened, well now you actually have a story. The other thing is that College Gameday is sponsored by Home Depot, so I just assumed all of the fans were confused about where to report to their morning shift at Home Depot.

    Ladies you sound like typical delusional SEC fans and contributors. Yes The Ohio State had a fire lit under them because of losing to the team from North when they had a much better team. But the fact of the matter is that Tennessee was not on Ohio state's level. The injuries that they got during the course of the game came from playing with The Ohio State. If you're trying to fall back on the referees it was a SEC crew. You probably didn't realize because most Tennessee fans don't. The volunteers are slow that's why The Ohio State's receivers were always open. That's why your receivers couldn't get open. When Trevion scored his touchdown your defensive back couldn't even catch him with the angle on him. The Ohio State's defensive ends could get around your tackles almost anytime they wanted to even with them holding that did not get called. The fact is Tennessee hadn't played any competition. Your complaints about coming to Columbus to play. Big Ten schools and schools from the north have been going to the South to play for years. So ladies quit trying to make excuses for Tennessee take that loss and learn from it. And the next time you come to Columbus you come correct or don't come at all.

    I’m not downing Tennessee. I’ve been a fan of theirs all year even though I’m big 10 the problem is Tennessee was the victim of a pissed off Ohio State team given Ohio State won that game against that team up north I truly believe this game would have been a lot closer.

    HUGE props to the Vols for bringing such a great number of fans to the game! and the team was full of heart, primarily Nico. Unfortunately with their injuries, he was aboutthe only thing. But OSU was running on anger and vengeance after that debacle 3 weeks ago. That I think was the biggest difference maker in this game.
