There is nothing wrong with the USC football program, the athletes, or the coaches. The problem is the state of California. The state of California is not allowing donors into the NIL collective to deduct that money fromtheir taxes. Therefore, fewer donors, less commitment, and a downward spiral that will end in failure. Why in the world do you think Chip Kelly left California?

What is the over under betting line for which head coach will leave their school first: Lincoln Riley from Southern California or Deion Sanders from Colorado? I think both will have left by Thanksgiving or Christmas. Based on the response from athletes and recruits, they see the writing on the wall.
Wasn’t one of the main reasons Lincoln Riley left Oklahoma was so that he could recruit a better roster? 😂 he hasn’t had a better recruiting class than OU since he’s been there. Location isn’t the problem; Lincoln Riley is.

As great as the 2 5 star commits were, they were never a lock. Usc still had to prove their defense on the field. Their defensive recruiting will be dictated by the play on the field.

You'd have to be a moron to sign a NIL deal in California with one of the highest State income tax rates in the nation up to 13.3 %. On a million dollar NIL bag. Right out of the gate California is taking approx 105k. The Feds will snatch up more with other fees like SS approx 40%. You will end up with half the million. You're better off taking a bag in a State like Texas, Florida or Tennessee (no state taxes). 100k is significant. That's a good size down payment for a 4 bedroom home in Texas or Florida. Young men need to start thinking about stuff like this. Where are their fathers to explain this to them. A 4 year degree is a 4 year degree. It's not the paper. It's what you do with it afterwards. I didn't graduate from college and I own my own business. FYI the income tax rates in Georgia are 1-5.75% in Alabama it's 2-5%. If these two were offered the same million dollar bag by USC and Georgia. They are gonna save a min of 50k just for picking UGA. I live in a NO income tax state for a reason. Newsom's not getting any of my money to squander on his social programs.

I think the B1G is going to make Lincoln Riley leave the conference. He historically has had huge offense and no defense. They shouldn’t score as many points as they did in the PAC.
I don’t think the big 10 was really all that better than the Pac 12 last year.

@brandonmcbroom9209 USC will still score a lot. We have to take into account that part of the Big 10 being so good at defense is because a lot of their offenses are quite frankly terrible. A lot of these big 10 teams haven’t faced a Lincoln Riley offense consistently. That being said if the USC strength&conditioning staff continues to have undersized players then USC will get blown off the ball defensively

Last year's SC team wins 9-10 games in the B1G.

Everybody is jumping to the gun too fast. As much as we think distance doesn't play a part in some guys decisions, we are sadly mistaken on that. Yes, it's early. That just means USC is gonna have to keep recruiting these guys and others until signing day. And 5 star don't mean impact. A 4 star can definitely come in and change USC fortunes. So everybody relax. We already have a decent class and it's still time for it to be a awesome class. FIGHT ON

If a player commits then backs out that ONLY means he is a pay for play players. USC is not going to be that Texas A&M Bank of America. We all know what happened with that. Im totally fine with players leaving if their heart is not for SC. I'll take the heart and guts over ANY 5 star high school ranking anyday. High school rankings dont mean shit if you cannot bring it to the next level. Case in point. USC got the #1 defensive ranked player in the Nation a few years back. How did that work out? USC in my opinion got some excellent coaches on the defensive side this off season. USC will show it by the TRUE NUMBERS. On the scoreboard
NIL bidding wars are the only thing USC doesn't want or need to win. They need to win games in the Fall and they will be fine.

It's nothing against USC and more about these kids realizing how far they are displaced from family and friends from home. They chase the shiny thing only to realize they are very homesick. All it is.

Hey Riley... you're getting your come uppings...and please... As much as it has hurt the past couple seasons.. I would take the loss of Mr I couldn't win 2 heismans in a row and a 5 star WR and Mr I couldn't win 2 heismans in a row 5 star backup and the countless other 4 stars just to get rid your ass. It's sad the university is having each home game to celebrate the Coach Bennie Owen era and then the Coach Bud Wilkinson era and then Coach Switzers era and then Coach Stoops.. all 4 will be spread out through out the season. Riley with all his Big 12 titles could have have had his geme where he was highlighted.. But he $hot that away with how he lied after the Bedlem game about how he made it appear he had no interest in leaving OU. But all is ok... When he is fired after the upcoming season and he yeah he will land somewhere fairly nice.. But his legacy is done. Specially how he made USC sound like it was all that when all USC has in the past 30 years is a coach who cheated his way to titles and the same university that latched on to O.J when he died as a great Trojan. It would be the cherry on top for his qb to find a new home.. Maybe he will when USC takes a @$$ LSU, Michigan, Penn st and Notre Dame lites his weak @ss D up...

NIL. USC doesn’t pay. Period. That’s the issue. Schrader for USC on 3 doesn’t report the real deal. The truth is there are a ton of issues with USC and NIL. USC is unstable here and unwilling (their collectives, alumni and school [the school too now that we know schoos can legally and directly lay players) and its recruiting will continue to pay the price unless they pay up. There are few kids who will keep their eyes on their future only and the NFL and development as the way to their ultimate goal and pay day. They want both. And will go to a place where they can have both. USC recruiting gurus had better stop covering up and shading and start reporting to fans the truth. Fans, do yourselves a favor: stop paying for recruit site subscriptions. They won’t tell you the real deal. They get mad when you want it, too.

Yes, they do. Perhaps not as much for high schoolers but they do pay. I think where they fall short is assuming that the marketing deals they can arrange, a la Caleb Williams, will make up for the difference but in most cases it won't. They need another year to prove the staff can develop. USC was never going to hold on to these kids. Way too many reasons outside of NIL for them to stay in the Southeast. Even academics, Gibson said he was interested in a Real Estate degree. UGA has a top 5 program and the highest ranked in the region. Lots of Dline Dawgs in the NFL.

Look at Terry....he's from a small town in West Central Georgia with a population of less than 4,000. LA must have seemed like a dazzling new experience and they sold him on the idea of having his own barbershop while also playing football. He got caught up in the experience as most would. Plus, I think he's only 16 or recently turned 17. He's a good kid from a good family and I'm sure the process has been overwhelming and the money amounts seem like retirement money for his parents.
