    Thanks for posting. This race was the only one I missed back in 2017.

    Kiwis had a faster boat. Hard to beat. Brits were the best team at starts but the finish is more important.

      Despite NZ having a temporarily broken boat the Brits were still like 5 or more seconds late to the start so basically they were the fairly pants team at the start and then went and gave up like 750 metres lol

    I find it odd that "sailing" now entails: a great deal of technology, one, or maybe two people running things, and then 4 people who LITERALLY just run from side to side and do grunt work.... I mean, the work that the four are doing - physically demanding as it is - can effectively be done by someone with little or no sailing experience. I'm a newbie, but was shocked to see this... like, that's literally ALL they're doing - Run And Pump - and yes they have to follow orders and do move precisely and on a moments notice and make some accommodations, but really, if you trained chimps for a couple of years, used signals and whistles and rewards, they could probably do effectively the same thing.

      @nads274 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What’s your point?not just anyone can train that hard and maintain the work that they do powering the boat.I’m sure they have had to learn other sailing skills just in case and can take over,admittedly probably not sail as well as the main ppl controlling the boat.

    • @ziparis
      @ziparis 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nads274 The point is, it's not "sailing". Is that really that hard to figure out? I guess it is.

      So the grinders on normal sail boats are nothing more than chimps to you?

    • @ziparis
      @ziparis 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brettmciver432 Well what are they? They're not sailors by any definition of the term. They're very fit, but yes, one could do it and literally know NOTHING about sailing beyond the fact that they're in a boat, and in water. Compartmentalization has occurred to that degree. Were it legal to do so, they could be COMPLETELY replaced by a small gas powered motor.

      @@ziparis these boats use sails don't they?
      Yeah that's right.
