  • Take a journey back in time from the very base of Titanic's grand staircase on F deck to the top of the entrance on the Boat Deck with highlights of the candelabrum, cherub, clock, and dome.
This video has been recorded from previous demos and other unreleased content. It is a preview of our past work and is not representative of the final game. Certain sections will be updated in our Alpha and final game due to new research and work from our team and upgrades in the Unreal Engine.

It just struck me, after 110 or so years we are able to board the Titanic again and see her the way she looked back in the day. It would be mind blowing for people who boarded her originally.

Ageing is an illness that is beginning to be understood better and better and with emerging technology there may soon be means of reducing or mitigating the effects of ageing in humans, allowing us to live longer, healthier, happier lives. And given how the team has, several times already, said that they would change and the project was now moving all ahead full, I think it is in order to not be convinced or hyped by any of their proclamations anymore.
      Let their actions speak.

I do own a PS4 and initially held some hope it would come out on consoles, but now I'm not so sure. For now, all I have is these videos.
Hopefully as you say, things are moving forward and we'll see more progress soon.

@@controlpadblues Oh, well, I would very much love to see this succeed, and if our console brethren could get to enjoy it too, that'd be even better.
It's just, that the team has had issues. Serious ones. and more than once, they came out, apologized (sorta) and promised change and that things will get better.
      It didn't.
And after the recent round of "we're sorry, but we turned this ship around for good, this time!" once again there are many people who are totally overcome with joy and hope.
I, however, am keenly aware, that stating a change is easier than actually implementing it, and they already failed several times before.
So it takes more than a random statement to convince me, at this point.
If you like the footage, demo 3 is out for years now, and many YT people played it, there should be plenty of videos of that, some with very entertaining commentary etc.
Have a fine day, and let's hope they actually succeed with T:HG

I have to admit, when I saw this I was floored, it's like you are transported, back to 1912, and you are walking through those beautiful passageways for the first time, and up and down that what I can only describe as a beautiful and opulent staircase.
The work and craftsmanship that went into that is just..... I can't come up with words for it
THG you guys have really gone out of the park on this one!!!

That's just one area of the ship!
I want to thank the team for putting in such details. I noticed those woodgrains standing out, against the sunshine. Perfection can't be rushed, and I for one am glad you to the time to get those tiny details!
    Excellent job TH&G team!

11:00 Nice idea of Lightoller’s view for when he checked to see how far up the water was going during the sinking.

Absolutely love this! One thing though, 30 years studying the ship and I never noticed the cherubs on either side of the staircase. I always thought there was only one in the middle of the stairs on A-deck! Wow!

A deck had the big cherub
B deck had smaller cherubs on the sides
C deck had small twin cherubs on each side
      D deck had a candelabra

The A Deck level is so bright and open but still feels super cozy with all the woodwork. Would love to have that replicated in a house.

While basically all the other areas of the Titanic were surpassed by following ships, this staircase is still my favorite from any of them, it's simply gorgeous.

Seeing the “Graphics not representative of final game” disclaimer got me thinking. Lots of companies put disclaimers like that in their trailers, as the graphics are enhanced to make the game look better. With THG they include the disclaimer because they’re still working to improve the graphics before the final release.

Simply overwhelming! I especially like how the wood appears lighter and lighter, the farther up the camera goes, from the darker illumination downstairs to the bright daylight upstairs. I wish I could find a way to make a screensaver out of it.

You guys can walk a replica! In pigeon forge there’s a titanic museum with a 1:1 scale replica of the grand staircase! Clock and everything! Skylight too! It’s SO COOL. Went there two days ago and 10/10. You can feel how cold the water was, and feel a big sheet of ice (trying to show how the iceberg was) it was amazing to walk it, and I fell in love. I recommend if you ever find yourself in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee!

Amazing that a ship like this even existed in 1912. All that craftsmanship, all the hand-carving of all of those details. There must have been a lot of money to be made on trans-Atlantic crossings to pay for all of it.

  • @momto7ify
    @momto7ify 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

This is beautiful you have caught all the details. People that have visited the Titanic museums need to see this. I can't wait to go back and look at the wood work again on the grand staircase. One thing I did find out that there were never pictures of the inside of Titanic. The company used the photo's of the Olympic for Titanic .
