    Are you already in the iCUE ecosystem? Or do you prefer as little software as possible for your components?

      Not a big fan of icue. I really dig the lian li software.

      Already in the iCue ecosystem. It's nice being able to change almost all the LEDs in my system using one application.

      Icue is nice but they need to consolidate their hubs and make wiring more effective like lian li.

      Skiving looks like this:
      th-cam.com/video/Q7qVpWu2QYs/w-d-xo.html
      So, when they say micro skived, that means that they have very small channels.
      I really wish they would give us a fin thickness on the copper. But, basically it's for the water to make a huge amount of contact with the copper, the fact that I know it's micro skived copper I think is going to sell me on this fan since I plan to replace the fans with three Phanteks T30s anyways because they're the highest static pressure fans you can buy.

    I'd buy a Corsair over others, the warranty is top notch and can't fault them at all, not to say others are bad but Corsair is very good

      Yep. Majority of my pc products are corsair; psu, ram, fans and case. Zero issues with them. Definitely trustworthy and worth the money unlike my past experience with MSI

      I’ve had a h100i pro I’ve been using for 5 years on and off. I would use it when I’d get tired of the hassles of a custom loop. Still works perfectly to this day. I just picked up this cooler for my new 7900x build. I’m throwing a custom loop in there but still waiting on ekwb to send am5 screws. I could have used my h100i pro no problem, I just know the 7900x runs hot and I like to run my fans slow as possible. I did replace the fans with three white ML rgb elites. But honestly the new AF elites that come with the h150i look very interesting. I’m going to have to test them against the ML elites. If I like them better I’ll buy three in white

      Not only the quality and warranty, but the integration into icue is amazing. 4 temp probs all the rgb things. All fans and peripherals. The ability to monitor coolant temps and set profiles to coolant. You can stick a probe on you gpu and set a specific profile for case fans based on that, use the coolant for the rad fans. You can do a lot. I feel the people that hate on corsair are ones you can’t really afford it. Bc if you had any Corsair products you’d be pleased. They have a great attention to detail as well.

    I have bought one of these and what I can say is that the fans are pretty garbage but the rest of the parts work great. If you want an aio you can plug top of the line fans in (noctua or phanteks) then I would recommend. I have this with 3 phanteks t30 fans cooling my i9 12900k in a define r7 air restricted case and it works amazing. The average customer probably isn't going to do this though just us crazy people trying to put max temperature parts in a airflow restricted case. On a side note the iCUE software manages the phantek fans pretty well I was very pleasantly surprised.

    • @gypsykatcher30
      @gypsykatcher30 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, I was interested in your comment as I realised when looking up the Elite AF fans that come with this AIO that they only go to 1700rpm. Are you saying you have this same corsair 360mm cooler but have changed up the fans? I was wondering if I changed the fans on this, how easy it is to increase their speed in icue, and whether icue would not allow the speeds to go above the corsair fan speed limit or something..? Can you max out the fan speed ok? I haven't heard of phantek fans but I have heard of Noctua. Thats the only thing that puts me off this AIO are the fans it comes with because its a fair part of the price you are paying for... Also, I noticed the max RPM for the pump head I have seen online seems to be around 2000rpm, however on my H60 AIO that has only one fan, it goes to around 4000rpm... so I am a bit confused why this one only goes to the 2000rpm range.., sorry for long message.

    • @kroller779
      @kroller779 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@gypsykatcher30 Icue scales your fan speeds with how hot your computer is, it can tell how fast the fans are going just fine. The 2000rpm is actually the minimum pump speed not the maximum. You are right about the price stuff though, I was going through so much overheating issues that I was willing to overpay to get it to work,

    I wonder how this compares to the CAPELLIX version. It's only this is only $20 less here. The only Thing I like more about this version is the mounting bracket for AM5 and the pump LED.

    All predictions for the next generation of CPU & GPU is that they run really really HOT, even more so with overclocking. So my question is: which off the shelf PC case, without needing custom modding to its structure, is best for extreme passive water cooling (fans barely needing to turn) with a custom water loop? So that it is amazing cooling with quiet slow spinning big fans (something like four 420mm radiators at the same time) & minimize/stop thermal throttling.
    I heard that it could be the Cool Master HAF 700 EVO; if that is the case could you please review it for maximum passive cooling usage? I asked Cool master support if you could fit four 420mm radiators in at the same time, as I would want to do a maximum possible cooling with a single custom water cooling loop for top end GPU, CPU & M.2 drives (& possibly even DDR5 RAM cooling) with max overclocking using a 1650W PSU. Their answer was... suggestive of "yes" but very non-committal. Obviously, because this case is so big & costly its probably more for enthusiasts at the moment, although if the heat output of the next gen top end hardware are as high as rumoured then CONSIDERABLY more extreme cooling will be needed to stop thermal throttling.
    As most channels focus on budget to mid tier builds, & seem to annoyingly never do "no budget limit" builds, I have yet to see a review for this case, let alone a "this is the best available off the shelf case for extreme passive water cooling". Thanks.

    at 7:27 your chart says that an all core 4.45ghz 5950x gets a stabilized temperatur of 70c at 22c room temp?i s that correct? or is it 70+22c= 92c?

    • @KitGuruTech
      @KitGuruTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      no, that chart says to maintain a 40dBa noise level, we run the fans at 70% (which is 1320rpm for this AIO.)

    • @I3ordo
      @I3ordo 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KitGuruTech Thanks for response and sorry, i meant the to ask about the next graph which is 5 seconds later at 7:35 , those temp values are delta temperatures, those values are nowhere near what i get with that much overclock and while on 100% cpu load. So what does delta temperature mean? my temps with one of the coolers you have on that graph are 30c higher, so the delta temperature means i should also add the ambient temperature of my room on top to get an idea of how coolers perform?

    • @KitGuruTech
      @KitGuruTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@I3ordo yeah that's correct, delta is the raw (actual) temperature minus ambient. It means we can present the most accurate comparison data

      @I3ordo 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KitGuruTech Can you imagine that i came across your channel two weeks ago and not before, i love the content delivery, the style however i was quite surprised by the outcome due to my ignorance about the "delta" temperature part. Looking at the charts now, it really does not make sense i mean, it would be quite right if the charts included the non-delta temps with parenthesis like 70c (92c) so average viewers like me would understand what their next purchase will perform like without being shocked at first like i did.. Anyway , enough about this isolated issue that i had with the charts, now i can understand it correctly. thanks for the content KitGuru Crew!

    I know this review is a few months old now, but can you tell us what the lowest RPM setting is for the pump?
    Some users of the Elite CAPELLIX AIOs reported noise issues with the pump even at it's "quiet" setting of 2200 RPM. So I'm just curious whether or not the pump on the RGB Elite can go lower than 2200 RPM.

      I want to know of these AM4 four screw based brackets (that dont clip on the motherboard hooks but screw in to the motherboard itself) work on the Corsair H150i Elite Capellix since when I bought that I was shocked to see the bracket was not this as I remember seeing a BitWit (I think it was him) video where he broke one of the the plastic hooks on an AMD motherboard because he tightened it a little too hard and it snapped and his cooler lost contact with the CPU and it overheated or something. I even did an RMA to say I was missing the AM4 bracket because I had seen videos of AIO coolers with a bracket that screws directly in to the motherboards and not the plastic hooks and they shipped me an AM4 bracket within a week and I find out later that they ship me the mount was the hook based one and I find out that that is the AM4 mount they have for that cooler. I hate it. It is also significantly harder to install as you have to line up both of the ends of the bracket with the plastic hooks simultaneously whilst trying to stop one end from coming out while you tighten the other end whereas with a traditional mount you can just screw even one screw in and that corner is good to go and won't come loose while you tighten another screw

    Does that cooler plate really provide full coverage of a Threadripper Pro CPU? It looks a little small but it may just have been the distance from the camera.

    • @KitGuruTech
      @KitGuruTech  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      good question - I'm not Luke (the reviewer), but I don't think 'full coverage' was explicitly mentioned, just support for the Threadripper/TRX40 socket. Corsair's website lists the coldplate size at 56x56mm, whereas a Threadripper 3990X is 75.40 mm × 58.50 mm (according to WikiChip.) So it wouldn't be *full* coverage, but should contact most (if not all) of the underlying CCDs. That's the theory at least - we've not tried it so can't say definitively. Dominic

    Well thats disappointing cosidering they made a big deal how those fans were all performance based but still lost to their older model. Some how they also made them noisier at full speed while been a lower rpm than their older model.
    The fans on the capellix model pick up in noise in the low 1k range, im guessing this fan does that in the 1.5k rpm range. Not the results I was expecting at all from this line up.
