I think it really boils down to need. For distance slugs are the way to go every time, although I’ve seen guys (68 Whiskey is coming to mind right now) and those guys were taking shots with pellets out to 300yrds. But accuracy at distance with a hopped up gun, I’d go slugs. If I’m shooting out to 100, maybe a skosh more, with a gun throwing stuff at around 900 fps pellets are fine. And now you can get one of fancy new FX Chronos that will tell you all of that from the bench so you don’t gotta worry about shooting it. 🤣😂😅
Agree it is about your requirements … young Fraser is shooting eggs out to 300 yards with Wildmans and I’m now seeing 500 yard shots but it’s not something I’m into at this time … a 1000 yard round trip to pick up your quarry … but what an exercise to see what can be done and an insight into what’s coming

Oh no kidding. I’ve commented before, I’ve always been a powder burner guy. Center fire, rimfire, I’ve owned a lot of guns in a lot of configurations and calibers. I’ve always just kinda lurked on the sides watching this ‘airgun stuff’, and a few years ago I finally pulled the trigger, pun intended, and bought my first PCP. I have 4 now 🤣. These aren’t my buddies pump up Crosman or Daisy. These things got thump, not that we didn’t kill many a squirrel back in the day, but you can realistically take small and large game with these things at ranges never before dreamt of. Just crazy. Well you guys have fun. Keep kicking these videos out. When it dries up a bit I’ll be back at too. 😁👍

Wildman slugs aren’t the best for expansion I have found , but ZAN, JSB knockouts or H&N are far better . Rangemaster seems to be a harder lead than standard JSB
Yeah, heard the same. Even the FX slugs don’t get the expansion as the Zans and Knockouts.
Nice comparison video. The only problem I have with it is the sound level, then it is soft and I increase the volume for my earphones and the next moment it is so loud it hurts my ears. Please make a plan to equalise the volume.

We have new microphones for 2024 and I have now learnt how to use them properly. Chilly
