Thank you so much for this video, it has been the most thorough and encouraging video I've found to help me deal with the stres surrounding "my path". "You will lead me on right paths, for the sake of your name!" Psalm 23
If you don't have what it takes to be a good spouse and parent, then you don't have what it takes to be a good priest or religious, and vice versa. Good spiritual formation prepares us for all things, but God will call us to something particular for the fulfillment of His will and there is no making a mistake in vocation if you desire to follow Him in that vocation. We who remain faithful will ultimately be a spouse or priest or religious in the Wedding Feast of the Lamb.
@simonslater9024 universal call to holiness. The virtues needed to be a good husband and father are what you need to be a good priest. And if you find that all to be nonsense, then you have to do some serious work on your spiritual life....or you're not Catholic and trolling us.
Thank you for such a straightforward and grounded approach to discerning. I can easily get caught up in the thoughts and emotions and not clearly view the circumstances all the time.
To angelahull - I was wrong and I don’t know why I gave you a thumbs down I’ve changed that to a thumbs up - my sincere apology! God bless. Ps but I’ve learnt through grace to always give praise to Jesus and Mary always regardless! Please watch the warning or illumination of conscience by Christine Watkins. Then Following Padre Pio.

I am thinking about the next phase of my life, and I thank you for the practical ideas to discern where the Holy Spirit is guiding me. Peace.
On the contrary, I find Father's talks significantly relevant in every way :-) everything depends on one's heart, attitude...:-)
So so detailed and helpful, Fr. Stephen. Saving this for future reference!
