Vw Golf headlamp bulb replacement

In this video I replace the headlamp bulbs in my 2017 VW Golf Alltrack. Not real easy to do. A person should have small hands and extra elbows. But it can be done. It requires an H7 bulb. Thanks for watching.

You made that driver side look so easy! SO far I have bloody knuckles and the bulb holder down in my wheel well somewhere :-/ Taking the tire off to remove the cover and install from there...

Took some serious editing to remove the salty language. I have had the car from new. So I have been down that same road. First try for me did not go the best. Took a good bit of practice to get to no disassembly of the car. Good luck. Thanks for watching.

Well it looks like the halogen bulbs are much easier, I wound up removing the front bumper cover and the headlight housing just to get enought access to replace the HID D3S Xenon bulbs, it's not a easy job...or cheap but the lighting is fantastic.

I had an older GTI with the fancy bulbs. Fantastic lighting. The halogen bulbs are difficult enough. I would want to do the fancy bulbs on this car.

I have a 2018 got with halogen. Why are my bulbs attached with actual wires instead of like this where it gets power through contact with the housing ?

I have never seen one set up like that. Maybe my GTI was but the bulbs never burnt out while I had it.

Is it different in 2019? I can got everything out i just cant get the damn bulb out

I have only worked on my 2017. It could have been changed for 2019.
