Fun fact, at the 4 minute mark in the music video when the band is going to the party, one of the guys in the audience in the corner is a 25 year old Eminem.
Yeah, he gets covered up by the video cards now though so you can’t see him, but if you watch the video from another source you can clearly see he’s there
Theres like whole Limp Bizkit band, guys from Orgy and Incubus, rapper WC is the one dancing between verses, then theres Eminem and some martial artist whos name I keep forgeting... Tito?
im honestly surprised you did another reaction after "daddy". thank you for continuing with you Korn journey. Got the life hits on the drawbacks of being a celebrity. Hes "got the life" he always wanted, but it comes with a new set of drama, issues, and feeling like youve let a part of yourself go to be part of it. one of my favorite songs.
Glad to see you recovered from the last KoRn reaction. I've seen them a couple of times live and couldn't think of any line, Jonathan Davis sang without his trademark depths, emotion and exceptional intensity. Amazing artist.
Thank you Millie because I have loved this song for over twenty years as well as the entire album "Follow The Leader" as well as the albums "Issues" and "Unotuchables" but thanks to you, your reaction, it was as if I remembered myself in my youth :) Your energy is a gift that you use amazingly, not for free -Thank you very much. Regards - May I More Powerpuff Girls Like You :)
I first found Korn back in 2007 and I remember finding their 2002 album *Untouchables* at a CEX store when they had cds for sales and at the same time of finding slipknot and their heaviest album to date *Iowa* ever since then I've been a huge fan of them and Jonathan Davis is one of my favourite singers and he inspired me to do different styles after learning to sing just like him, definitely check out more songs by them such as *Alone I break* & *Hollow life* 🖤🤘
Saw them live countless times in Houston. Along with System of a Down, Korn, Tool, perfect Circle, linkin park. Limp bizkit, Red Hot Chili Peppers. What a time. When tickets were $20 flat rate first come first serve before Ticketmaster and livenation ruined live venues.
I kept this album in my CD player in my car for months straight. It's the only Korn album I ever bought as I grew out of them or just got burned out on them, but it brings back some great memories.
Not only is this a great tune (I literally have "Got the Life" tattooed on me) but it has a really great meaning. My interpretation is that hes not happy with life and asks God why cant God give him a good life and God responds youve already "Got the Life". My take away is that you should really take a look at your life and be appreciative for the things you have and not complain about how you think your life is wrong.
Got a say......seen Fieldy do his bass jam many times live before his hiatus. He and JD did this wild thing where JD would slap the bass with him....OMG!!!!!! sure there's a live video somewhere but Fieldy is amazing. Ya know he did a solo thing..... BASSically
The intro is actually from a different song on the album, "It's On!" Which is also a great song, but there isn't a video for it. Also, I don't know if anybody has said this yet, but the bassist made a DVD where he shows you how to play this song.
The video starts with the first Follow the leader's song, It's on!, a great song, too. I say always that the beginning of that album is unbeatable (It's on! - Got the life - Freak on a Leash - Dead bodies everywhere). For a live choice, I highly recommend, for example, Insane (Sirius XM Live). For a surprising one from a studio version, Tearjerker.
Yeah, every time that bass slaps, magic happens. Korn are the fathers of Nü Metal, and Fieldy (bass player) is a big part of their success. He influenced an entire wave of bands that soon followed the same sound. Fieldy is truly one of a kind 🔥
Thanks for not pausing in annoying way! this song, was my favorite next to "falling away from me". i was between 10-14 with Korn. Limp bizkit, a few other got me into Meshuggah, Lamb of god, thy art is murder etc. I also loved techno, and was teased for it, because it was before it was cool. Either way imagine being somewhat of a kid and asking your parents to buy these CD's lol....
The opening of the video was actually another KoRn track from this 1998 album 'Follow the Leader'... called "It's on" 🤘🔥 Yes, Reggie 'Fieldy' Arvizu (bass) of KoRn is a big hip hop fan... his funk style bass playing is a big part of the KoRn groove... 🤘🤘 Mudvayne is another band w/ a driving bass sound, courtesy of bassist Ryan Martinie... Check out their songs - 'Death blooms' ... 'Fall into sleep' ... 'Happy?' ... 'Not falling' ... 🤘🤘
im pretty sure you need very loose strings to get that scratching sound from the strings hitting the fred board. i love that sound from korn :D hes also slapping the strings. if your interested look up fieldy bass slapping. fieldy is the bass guy in korn.
*There's still a good number of really good KORN songs left for you: Coming Undone __ Y'all Want A Single __ Right Now __ Here To Stay __ Did My Time __ Somebody Someone __ Shoots and Ladders __ Word Up (cover) __ Alone I Break __ Twisted Transistor __ Thoughtless __ Make Me Bad __ and more.*
For ur goals: there are videos of the bassest teaching you how to plays this song in here. You can still practice the technique on a 4 string while u wait for the 5 string. It's mostly in the slapping hand portion that requires effort. Also, I'd recommend a "Multi-scale" style 5 string guitar. Look into it if you like, they are great reads.
Ok, I think Millie needs a list of epic slap bassists. Add your favs guys: Fieldy (of course) Ryan Martinie - Mudvayne Emma Anzai - Sick Puppies, Evanescence Eugene Kostyuk - Jinjer Misa - Band-Maid Who else?
Tenía otro nombre ella no recuerdo, pero esta posi y me encanta que reaccione a bandas así generation X 🤙🏻🤙🏻☠️😈😁... la misma pero ahora en inglés... wuaooo🤙🏻🤙🏻🤙🏻
The message: fame and fortune is what we all think we "want". Yet, when we get it, it will kill you. See the squeegee man ..gets the keys to the Ferrari, for free (wining the lottery) then kills himself by speeding (over indulgence). Name of the song: Got The Life. Aka you lose your life by being ungrateful for what you already have.
Fun fact, at the 4 minute mark in the music video when the band is going to the party, one of the guys in the audience in the corner is a 25 year old Eminem.
Yeah, he gets covered up by the video cards now though so you can’t see him, but if you watch the video from another source you can clearly see he’s there
You can also see Fred Durst if I'm not mistaken
@@arcane3943yeah but limp Bizkit was already friends with Korn and put the song faith out. Eminem was a nobody still when he appeared in this.
the fact that they got Eminem , Fred durst, and Dub C cripwalkin in 1 video is fucking crazy
Theres like whole Limp Bizkit band, guys from Orgy and Incubus, rapper WC is the one dancing between verses, then theres Eminem and some martial artist whos name I keep forgeting... Tito?

They've been together for more than 3 decades and still going strong.
Glad to see you recovered from the last KoRn reaction. I've seen them a couple of times live and couldn't think of any line, Jonathan Davis sang without his trademark depths, emotion and exceptional intensity. Amazing artist.
Your love of Korn grows stronger with each song. Can I suggest Did my time for your next Korn adventure
i think somebody can win or she make a special reaction like this video, so have a chance.
Thank you Millie! I've loved this song for 26 years!
Edit: I love that you loved this song so much that it made you bite your pigtail!
🤘🏻😎

Love how happy you get checking this out!!! 😊

Your reactions to a legendary time period is quite pleasant.
I kept this album in my CD player in my car for months straight. It's the only Korn album I ever bought as I grew out of them or just got burned out on them, but it brings back some great memories.
My favourite song when I was about 20! Absolute smacker! As is you!🤘

Keep the Korn train going!!! Oildale is my favorite song
I love your love for the bass!!!
Korn has a fantastic cover of "Kidnap the Sandy Claws" from Nightmare Before Christmas.
Got a say......seen Fieldy do his bass jam many times live before his hiatus. He and JD did this wild thing where JD would slap the bass with him....OMG!!!!!! sure there's a live video somewhere but Fieldy is amazing. Ya know he did a solo thing..... BASSically
Korn "Faget" or "Need To". If you want recent songs, check out "COLD"
Fieldy, the Lars Ulrich of Bass players
Dunno about Lars Ulrich too much but Fieldy is a beast. He just does it different. Its more the 2nd drum kit rather, than a deep sounding guitar
Theee BAAASSSSS !!! 🤤 love it
Jonathan Davis, the only metal lead singer coming out in a kilt and rock'en the bagpipes. Always an amazing concert!
*ANGUS YOUNG HAS ENTERED CHAT...* Oi! you wot mate?
Ending makes me dance every time
Fun reaction!
You want bass, you should do their song “Let’s Get This Party Started”
Oh, make sure it's fretless! You are the kind of person who can handle it.
My favorite band ever . enjoyed watching you lose your mind making it your favorite
KoRn!!! 🤟🏼🔥🔥🔥🔥
The intro is actually from a different song on the album, "It's On!" Which is also a great song, but there isn't a video for it.

you rock, Millie! PD: here an old Korn fan.
Guys, this may sound crazy, but i think she liked Korn a Lot 😂

Ok, I think Millie needs a list of epic slap bassists. Add your favs guys:
Fieldy (of course)
Ryan Martinie - Mudvayne
Emma Anzai - Sick Puppies, Evanescence
Eugene Kostyuk - Jinjer

Who else?
Les Claypool
You mention getting a 5 string, but remember, Les Claypool rocks a 4 string, and is arguably the greatest bassist ever..
Les has many bass guitars including 6 strings
Mt. Rushmore for sure! But, Billy Gould of Faith No More belongs up there with him. I might put Fieldy up there too..
You need to watch a live version
