Amazing build as always FC! Love the idea of the worker's barracks as like a scout/school camp vibe! It's definitely a distinct look and sits so well overlooking the bridge! Can't wait for the factory build! You always nail the industry vibes! :)
Found this series the other day and have been binging it, love your work. Every time I play, I have no idea how to be creative or expand my city, so I end up starting again. It's great watching someone who knows what they're doing :D
Perhaps no one is using the backside of the train station, because the train doesn't stop there (yet). Hopefully they will once you have another station across the bridge and the train stops on both sides of the station☺ The conifers look great! I love the deep dark green color for this city and also how you broke it up with some sampling fields. I'm not sure if this is true; it seems like you have planned everything ahead for each episode, because of the words you use when you talk us through the process. I could be all wrong, but if I am not this is first of all probably why your cities look perfect, so let's be grateful for that fact before I say anything else (insert long spiritual break here 🙏♥). However, (here goes, don't let this weigh too heavy on you please) for me it does take away a little tiny bit of the excitement of seeing art being created (like the magic feeling when something works, or sometimes the chaos when it doesn't). Either way; we love you FewCandy ♥
That looks good. With the forestry and the fishing, and just the general terrain and vibe, I am getting a Pacific Northwest feel from this build. Like coastal Washington state, or Oregon. Good for those who like some grunge in their city, I guess. 😀
I can smell the Pine Forest from here. In the high-country of Arizona, near Flagstaff, the big Ponderosa pines smell like JuicyFruit bubble gum, when you get close and smell their bark/trunks. (some people say they smell like butterscotch, others say it smells like vanilla...there's gotta be a pun in here, I'm just not british enough to catch it.)
Erm...Jon Robinson here! If only you could see my reaction at this present moment. I'm only catching up on the series and I nearly choked on my diet coke! 🤣🤣. Just hit the half way point of the video, but I have every faith in you FewC. May I be cheeky and kindly request that it become Jon Kong Lumber inc. I just find it quite humorous, but you don't have to, you can leave it as is. And it does look awesome! Nice and minimalistic which is something I appreciate in the industry builds of this nature.
I had this on while I was doing something else and jumped at the mention of my username HAHA this was fantastic! I always have trouble fitting in the pulp mill but you blended it in so nicely for that skyline! The city is really looking great.
Thank you so much for the shout out! I love this vanilla series as I have PS4 so also play vanilla! I watch you videos while feeding my newborn son his bottle and my wife and I were shocked to hear my name lol we both looked at each other and rewound the video hahah forgot I'd commented a name suggestion! Anyway, thanks again and keep it up!
Looking great😍clever positioning of the extractractors on the slopes because they conform... 36:45 Love how this area turns out at the end, wondering if this isn't the perfect spot for a cargo station (easy export)? 43:20 I wonder if the second exit is actually connected here: to my observation, passenger can exit at the ends of the platform, not at the central building. Maybe adding a path can fix it, that would be extremely helpful excited for more😁
@@fewcandythankfully managed to keep the job but still watched your videos 😂 Question, ⁉️ I'm trying to get a scenario done for 150k population, but I seem to have plateaued at 106k, can you do/have any tips on why this might be ?
I think the tip of the peninsula that extends down into the next tile would be a good spot for a park. A boardwalk and some fishing piers, that kind of thing. Or could do it like some kind of historical site, since it’s a point where two rivers meet.
@@fewcandyya something like that. Some kind of old castle, or fort, I’m a console pleb, so no idea what kind of assets are available. And then some walking paths or a boardwalk down the peninsula, with some site seeing piers, and some fishing piers, maybe a little swimming beach if there’s a spot. Maybe even some kind of statue or small monument, at the very bottom tip, since the opposite banks of the two rivers will have great views of this area.
When I started watching this vanilla series I got so excited thinking I could do this too, but then I remembered that I had no dlcs and I have the Epic Games version... For what I know no mods for Epic Games CS so yeah lol
No soy muy fanático de las rocas, soy mas del equipo de los árboles 😅. Puedes agregar un camino detrás la Estacion de tren para facilitar el acceso… Excellent as always!…
I appreciate the Vanilla Play, and loving the videos. I really suggest you use toggle it to remove that horrendous colour screen when using industries and parks etc. Would improve the viewing quality without changing the gameplay.
I'm new to your channel in the last few weeks. Your cities are beautiful and as a console player i am enjoying this vanilla build and i hope you build a vanilla city when cities 2 comes out too 🤞
Impressed as always. I have a question though. Do you need more of the Pulp Mills and saw yards, etc the more you expand your forestry industry or does one asset take care of all the neess regardless of the size?
If you don't keep a reasonably careful balance between extraction and processing assets, you will have either a large export or import imbalance, which a) cuts down on profit, b) generates more traffic that wants to exit / enter the map, which will in turn c) leave less trucks available to move your internal forestry traffic.
Come for the thumbnail puns, stay for the great vanilla builds!

I have to ask..are you guys married/couple? Basically come from one channel to the other to watch builds and get inspiration 😂
I think the workers barracks are raised off the ground to give them privacy with all the curious bears lurking in the woods
Lol!!
Haha love that!

Lovely forestry area, well done.
Great looking industry area! Thinking a fire tower might not be the worst thing - perhaps by the “woodland camp”.
Great shout! Thank you!
