Splendid video sir, and good to have you back. These look nice, and seem to have been generally well received. Seems like more and more brands are making streaming actives these days, which I like as a development.
How would you compare the bass output and transparency of these versus the KEF LS50 Wireless II? I’m currently trialing some LS50 Wireless II and they are a bit underwhelming…very little bass output and it tends to make them sound overly bright no matter how much I fiddle with the EQ! Also considering the Bower & Wilkins Formation Duos.
In my honest opinion the Sonus Faber are in a different league to the LS50 Wireless II. I find the same as you, that UniQ driver is so thin sounding. - John
Hi, Are thee any known issues with the app for these Sonus Faber Duetto speakers? Can I use a Lumin P1 mini as a preamplifier / streamer with these speakers? Thanks.
Hi, which acoustics do you think sounds better, beolab 8 or Sonus faber Duetto, please tell me, I want to buy but I’m confused, I’m interested in the bass and sound quality, Thank you
Hello, I'm John, Peter Tyson is the name of the founder of the business. This may help you, I compare Beolab 8 and Sonus Faber briefly toward the end. th-cam.com/video/SqAzr9vXwQo/w-d-xo.html
How’d you compare the sound to those focal arias I saw in the background? I have the arias but I feel like they’re a bit too polite for movies. I want them to shout a little more.
That's exactly what it is, I think it just over compensates and hangs on too far up the volume scale for me! It's one of those things to try for yourself, if you prefer it then leave it on. - John
to bad they are not avaible in piano black or mate white im going for sonetto 1 or 2 in black have a naim amp that powers 95 wpc in 4 ohms hope it,s enouf if not i save 3 or 4 k for a other more powefull amp.
@@Peter-Tyson thanks for repply it,s a Naim nait 5si i had tested sonetto 2,3 with naim unity atom back when i worked shortly in a audio video shop i was great it was in a huge room i also tested unity atom with focals, bowers ,dalis and revels the sonus faber had best soudstange and piano, strings sound of all bowers was best in female voices. my living room is in a atick with toons of wood i have a big carpet .

The bookmarking on the wood is really well done, almost as good as this video is! It looks good and so do the speakers! 😇
Hi John. Good to see you again. I didn't realise you had a new job! Congratulations.
Thanks Beefers, good to see you back in the comments. - John

Personally I prefer Sonus Faber. - John
Hi Peter. Thanks a lot for this review.
Could you please help me to choose between these speakers and Beolab 8?

Do they sound better than Naim ( Bentley ) 2 nd generation?

It's a different sound, different speakers for different rooms/customers. They are the Focal Vestia No2. Nice speakers. -John
Pretty sure the loudness option is for very low listening levels to compensate for human hearing lass of bass and treble sounds for quiet listening.

Come here for the old skool. What about the 17s?
Possibly my favourite B&O speaker ever Beolab 17. But long since discontinued, time goes on. -John

Hi Steve, you Naim amp will be absolutely fine driving Sonetto 1 & 2. -John
