one thing that i have to keep in mind as a clothing lover is that just because something is beautiful/unique doesn't mean that i have to own it! i'm trying to teach myself that i can appreciate the beauty of a piece i stumble across in the thrift store and then WALK AWAY if i don't think it will work in my wardrobe

I've started taking photos of pretty pieces I see when thrifting and it honestly helps so much. I can look at it, I can remember the *find* but not own it
My mantra walking through the thrift store: "You can’t adopt them all!"
I implemented a rule approximately three years ago that if I can't think of three outfits with a piece I want to buy, then I shouldn't buy it. That rule has made such a huge difference I get so excited going into my closet and putting outfits together! I also am now very good at knowing what a piece needs to bring for it to be a good addition to my wardrobe :) it also helps me to be sustainable and think about how to rework/rewear items. I love videos like this encouraging styling in different ways and using those pieces that get less wear!!!! To anyone who is reading this, have a lovely day 😊

That patchwork camel blazer is *everything.* There are so many possibilities. For example, I'd style the patchwork blazer with the floral shoes you featured at the end of the video + either a solid tonal tee/bottoms outfit, or a solid black tee/black bottoms combo. The camel is a neutral, so the blazer will go with so many colors; if you keep the base layer solid and simple, it will help keep the focus on the awesome blazer.

I came to the comments to say the same. Camel jacket and floral shoes will look great with a short skirt or shorts and opaque tights.
The first outfit with the purple vest and jeans is one of my favorite stylings you've done! The purple jeans look so good on you. And both outfits with the tapestry shoes are so cute. I feel like they really scream YOU.
Just an idea but... maybe you could somehow share your open wardrobe pics with your subscribers and have them style your clothes into outfits for you and then do a video trying on the outfits. Kind of like the way you style subscribers but the opposite.
The first outfits were a bit questionable but the second outfits were all perfection!!

i'm actually shocked about you getting rid of the tapestry heels, you style them in almost every video and they're one of my fave things you own! but i also understand if they're not practical to wear out of the house but they look good with everything and i'd even use them to style in my house on display hahaha

You struggle with my fave colors such as deep browns, light browns, purples, and even blues but styling it in a chill grunge-hippie way makes it easy to throw on. Your style sometimes veers preppy so idk if you'd enjoy going more in that direction.
I think it's okay, when planning outfits to be okay with pairing things with basics and make them the shinning piece. The pastel blazer, I could totally see that with jean shorts and a tank or cropped top. The tapestry shoes, which I'm obsessed with btw, are adorable with just the black mini shirt and a crop top. I could see them with a denim mini skirt too, a coordinating bag, oooh and a headband for some reason. The lavender suede vest, I also LOVE and would wear with just jeans and some shoes that pop and a tank or fitted tee underneath. The patchwork leather blazer, I hope you keep, I would wear with just a solid mini slip dress and boots or maryjanes like you did. Great pieces for sure and they are all worth keeping and just playing around till you find what you like.

Yes!! I haven’t uploaded everything in my closet yet (adding 150 pieces toook forever) but excited to add everything and then just be able to create fun outfit combos whenever through the app!
There were a lot of cute outfits, eg. the fringe vest with the long denim skirt and the all black combo. But - I think the brown patchwork leather jacket is not your colour, the purple denim has an odd fit and the shoes do nothing for you. You could let them go.
Have you tried the fringed vest with the purple jeans? I think the many-colored blazer would look good with those jeans, too.

I also want to wear more (different) things from my wardrobe and i find OPENWardrobe really help to see more clearly what hasn't been used yet. I feel more the urgency this month to wear summer stuff because living in Canada and having 4 seasons means that very soon i wont be able to wear certain piece till next year.

the first two pieces i liked the seconds outfits much more. I liked purple vest better with the light denim and the light brown jacket better with the white shoes, I agree I liked it styled with white over black.
you have such a cool shoe collection, i would love to see some of these outfits with different shoes than the black ballerina flats. i don’t feel like the fit your style as well and make the outfits boring.
Ok honestly my favourite looks are the very first one and the one with the baby blue slip and the cow shirt. So here's some encouragement to go more crazy with clothes and just have fun with them. It's a skill that thrifters are especially good at and you will earn so many compliments from strangers!

I got rid of clothes I don’t wear, we had a yard sale at my nene house last week and we took the left over clothes to the Good Samaritan !! I took 2 pair black yoga leggings, brown jogger set and 4 simple plane tanks tops that my nene was getting rid of !!❤

The first outfit was kind of rough, between the fringe, all the details in the top, the pocket details on the jeans, and sudden black shoe it was feeling unfocused. I can't help but think that vest would have looked so cute with the white tank you were wearing in the beginning and maybe a solid color, high waited bottom (and a white shoe or one in the same color as the bottom.) The jacket is fantastic but it seems like the silhouette isn't that great for you and the color is difficult. I love the blue and brown skirt and I don't think it's as tough to wear as you think, since both colors are fairly neutral.

I love the purple jeans! I try out clothes in my wardrobe ever so often if I find I'm always going past them. I try two different outfits and then if I don't really love the piece or feel like I will actually wear it much in the future I donate it.
