Take a sip of coffee every time I said Alberta “nailed it!” Happy Sunday! ☕️ And if you wanna see HOW Alberta created the outfits she made for me, she does a deep dive into the process on her channel th-cam.com/video/tvvPR7jSKGg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=NXJPr_0ugBL33WQ0
I think an important question to ask here is WHY are you bored with your wardrobe? You know yourself, and your style very well, and like you said you've had all kinds of style analysis done, so why the boredom? Just an inquiry, not a criticism. Sometimes I think when we're caught up in the fashion industry which is so transient, we get caught in that "never enough" mentality. Style is an evolutionary process for most of us, but I feel like, and I'm speaking for myself as well, there needs to be a point where I am enough, what I have is enough. At least for some time.
I agree with your comment. I guess to also point out the other side, I think Christina was trying to show us that instead of rushing to buy new pieces when we are bored, we should try and find new outfits with the pieces we already have (in this case with the help of a stylist).
I think it’s all relative.. you can have the most incredible wardrobe / house / life etc and still feel like something is missing. Christina likes to highlight this feeling in her content and provide solutions - hiring the stylist is a good example!
Your suggestion to look for a differently textured item similar to one we have and like, rather than buy the same exact thing in a different color, is GOLDEN. ✨️ Thank you.
Definitely! I've been decluttering and I'm getting rid of a bunch of blazers that were all basically different colors of the same thing that don't really work for me. The ones I want to keep actually do have different textures funnily enough, so this felt so spot on!
The specificity with which "celebrity airport outfits of the '90s" inspire you brings me an obscene amount of joy. I love that for you.. and they're so. good. Remember when those were the only "irl" celeb images we ever got?
OMG I really feel like you got your money's worth with this styling - that first outfit blew me away because it was a vibe that utilised all your classic pieces and managed to look very YOU but was simultaneously so different from how I've seen you style yourself up to now...? Truly a whole new world from within your own closet and you looked fantastic :)
Alberta was definitely worth the investment! To me the black peplum outfit was thrown off only by the proportions, which cut you into equal halves. If the peplum was shorter I think it would have created an interesting balance with the cargos.
Oooh she's good! LOVE the bag recommendation. The east-west bag is on my wishlist and I think it gives such a fresh edge to an outfit. Love the suede blazer recommendation as well. She pulled some good looks together!
Agree about the bag; it was so great to get a 'minimal, sharp' piece to complete the trio of words with her sportier outfits as well as having quite a light and luxurious piece for evenings.
She really came up with some good looks!! LOVE what she did with your cardigan! That outfit was my favorite!❤ The photos of julia in her jeans and tee w/blazer, and the photo of David Bowie and Iman…aww so sweet. my 90’s nostalgic heart soars❤❤❤actually any photo of that couple makes me tear up😢!!
It was fun watching Alberta’s video earlier this week and then this. I was so impressed by how much care she took to style your wardrobe, and then it’s interesting to see how it translates to the body. I have a Feed subscription for Indyx but definitely going to get a few lookbooks soon!
The stylist nailed it. These styles definitely updated your style. And I love what you already did, simple but elevated. These were just a tad more unexpected.
I LOVE the red cardigan on you. I disagree with those who said it's the wrong red. Looks amazing with the unbuttoned, openness - gives that more relaxed/undone look that says You, but with some added color.
I think it looks fantastic underneath and popping out, or as a scarf/over the shoulders as you've tried previously. It becomes "the wrong red" paired as a main piece with medium blue jeans
I started Indyx not knowing you have it 😂. I did my entire wardrobe and jewelry! Took me an entire weekend but I have SOO much fun creating outfits. It truly is like a little game! I watched your videos after and I’m even more glad I did it!
I love Alberta's suggestions and your thoughts. I like Look #3 a lot. The first two too. The way you wear your cardigan as a top (open and *nothing underneath*) is great and I think I'll try that out too! Great point with the suede jacket. As always, thank you, Christina!
She did a superb job! You looked fabulous in her choices, and also your tweaks to the originals when they weren’t quite right. Your tweaks were right on because they were definitely YOU.
Christina! This was so fun to watch, I loved seeing you translate these outfits through your own lens and make them work for you! My goal is always to provide a spark of inspiration with Indyx Lookbooks and this was such a perfect example. Thanks for letting me hang out in your closet, I had the time of my life.
Outfit #1 was a my favorite. It looked great on you and had a very "this is just how cool I dress all the time" vibe. She definitely nailed some great looks for you. Love the idea of working with a stylist this way. Great video!!
Fun video, thanks for sharing!! Funny how we just need a fresh perspective sometimes to match different things together that we already own. I’m going to try this! Also I could totally see that suede jacket on you with your style! 👌🏼
My thoughts: 1) having a second opinion to refresh your wardrobe is *such* a good idea! 2) I’ve seen some people trying to rationalize why where the boredom with well intuited style is coming from, and my take on that is it could feel like you’re not being creatively challenged anymore when there’s no discovery left. It could also be because you’re at a cusp of some evolution so maybe something as small as a Suede jacket is catalyst enough.
I absolutely loved this video and I’m also so glad you had a great experience with Alberta. Could have gone the other way, as some have had to endure. And she really got you and your style. I love listening to your podcast Sustain This! with yours partners Alyssa and Signé. Absolutely a must listen for anyone interested in clothes as well as sustainability. Thank you…can’t wait for your next experience!
Really fantastic video!!! Thanks for your sharing your journey It inspires me. I’m going too remember the power of accessories and to think about texture!
Dear Christina, I love your style and I know you said you didnt like your red cardigan, but here it looms great, out of all your outfits in this video, the red with the brown coat looked the best for me. ❤
NAILED it! Love the city bag -- do tell! I lucked out with two preloved city bags in the last few years at two different consignment stores. I love the all black outfit.. super chic
Been loving your content and am a new subscriber! The innovation and how informative your content is is so 🔥. A couple things: 1) have you tried tucking the peplum tank in the all black ensemble to change the proportion/shape? 2) if you’re concerned abt the amt of red the orange red cardigan pulls frm your skin, you could a) tuck the unbottoned collar to make it a v neck, and b) neutralize/warm the complexion in your face. Keep doing what you’re doing!
I’ve been following you for a few years now & it’s the first time I comment I do like how she styled your clothes, it’s more fun & playful and it looks great on you. Personally I’m a fan of the 90s fashion but I usually dislike how many style the modern version into a 45 years old tired lady outfit. Also the red cardi looks great the color analysis isn’t the Bible so enjoy wearing what you like ❤️
It was so fun to see how you applied and tweaked the suggestions. I wish we could have seen the outfit with the strappy sandals before you switched to the white ones.
I think you nailed it again! When you swiched blazer for leather jacket was my favourit! Soo cool outfit! So fun to see! I acctually asked Signe if she would do a similar thing for me and as I live in the south of Sweden I could come to her workplace with a colour analizies as well. Now it propably won’t happen until she comes back from maturnety leave. But I am already looking forward to it and even more so after seeing this! Lots of love from Sweden 🇸🇪
Really liked the all black outfit (#3) but would pair with sporty nylon crossbody bag instead. Also would invest in a pendant to change up your current wardrobe. Great video!
loved the outfits. I thought the cargo pants in outfit #3 looked really good with the shirt. I liked the soft, drapy texture contrasted with the structured knit.
I liked this video😊. I just thrifted myself a camel suede blazer ❤️ and am so excited to style it with the new vintage usa dark wash Levi’s 501 I found. I bet you can find a suede blazer pre loved too. Good luck .
Thank you so so much Christina for making such a beautiful contents for us and I really really love watching your videos a lot you are looking just Wow and I wish you have a beautiful Sunday♥️🥹💫
What is your secret to having your clothes so nicely photographed into Indyx? I started and they looked so demotivating on the pictures that I stopped. But your images look so-so good!
I had a similar problem. I try and find the online image. I can use the photo of mine to do a search using Google lens. Now I will use a stock photo of a very similar item that I find rather than my photo. I know what item it represents to me and is often close enough to give an idea of the look. E.g. yesterday I did a search for brown striped shirt and took a screenshot of one that was similar to mine.
The recommendations for new pieces are great. I don't understand why you don't just buy the necklace she suggested. I can think of so many ways you can use it.
The outfits were great on you - good to vary the everyday jewellery you wear - I think wearing the same jewellery every day makes an outfit stale somehow - good to get out of your comfort zone!
The outfits and your tweaks to them were really great. I loved the bag she recommended. I bought something similar at TJ maxx recently and it really styles up an outfit.
You could play with the idea of tailoring a "fold" at the neckline of the sweater! Could make it easier to wear since a closed neckline makes the color much more pungent on your face! I love the color personally
Christina would you be able to do a video on your wool/cotton blazers. I am looking to find a few this fall/winter. I tagged you in my IG yesterday and was able to find one blazer for $5 from banana republic originally but it doesn't have as much cotton as I would like for my kind of forever blazer. I don't wish to own multiples but would like to find more brands that lean more towards natural fibers that I can locate 2ndhand! Thanks so much love this video as well such talent for both of you!
I loved all of these outfits on you! Wow she really did nail it. The all-black outfit as recommended was great, but it might benefit from a switch to your Tibi green track pants or a switch of the shoe to a sneaker. Add tension in a different way, maybe? Also I was surprised you didn't switch out the shoe with the second outfit - I was waiting for you to say you didn't have enough skin showing somewhere and you felt overwhelmed. Have I been watching too long LOL? Love love loved this video!

A very random question for Christina and anyone who sees this: How do you wear trousers that hit the floor? I'm really short and I can never find trousers that fit me, because all of them hit the floor, and I could never imagine walking in them! How do you do it? :D Does it just need some getting used to? Sending love ❤
Three hacks I do if I don’t tailor them - my pants don’t actually drag IRL! 1) get snaps put in by your tailor so you can adjust the height 2) tuck into the back of your shoe 3) safety pin just the back so you still get the good puddle in the front!
I loved all the looks she gave you! Look 1 &2 were perfect (preferred the denim), look 3 was cool but you didn’t look comfortable (thought it was the shoes more than pants), look 4 I didn’t like the white shoes with it (sorry), think they were too closed, look 5 would be killer with the suede jacket. I so want to catalog my wardrobe to be able to do this, it’s just daunting in its prep work.
I just started by cataloging any recent purchases where the images were available online. Then I just catalogue stuff as I wear it. I often just find a photo of a similar item online, which is close enough for me to use.
Hey Christina, I'm wondering.... I got the open wardrobe app a while back after I saw it on your channel. Then I also downloaded the Indyx app to check out (after I saw it on your channel). However, since I already had finished cataloguing my wardrobe with OW and found I had to do the same thing with Indyx, I deleted it again. It was just too much work to do it all over again. May I ask, what was your reason for switching to Indyx, I find I'm happy with OW and the functionalities are pretty much the same!?
I have done it in sections. And I was able to find so many of my pieces on the internet & made a screenshots, so there was no need to flatlay and take all the pics.

Because we see our wardrobes with our own eyes so it can be very fun and enlightening to see it through another's for a change!
Well said

I think one of the points of this video is transitioning into Autumn without buying too many things, rather combining what you own

“You have to play” is such fun advice for figuring out style and how to use the pieces you already own!
Out of all the videos I've seen lately using these stylists, she is my favorite!
With that suede blazer recommendation, it shows Alberta really understands your style.
sued blazer/jacket/bags/belt is the next fall trend especially in reddish brown burgundy or even green that's why she suggested
I think Alberta knocked this outta the park! Loved the outfit with your leather biker jacket cuz Xtina is our biker jacket queen!! 🖤
I really liked the all black outfit with the shiny crock purse. You tend to go for a boxy look, so if was interesting to see something different.
She really came up with some good looks!! LOVE what she did with your cardigan! That outfit was my favorite!❤
The photos of julia in her jeans and tee w/blazer, and the photo of David Bowie and Iman…aww so sweet. my 90’s nostalgic heart soars❤❤❤actually any photo of that couple makes me tear up😢!!

The brown blazer transformed the red sweater. 🙌

Outfit 1 - preferred the denim jacket version!
I saw the post and I’m so glad you bought it to life!!
I love the free app, so useful to plan and record my daily outfits. And it’s made it clear how many times I wear an item or outfit.
She did a superb job! You looked fabulous in her choices, and also your tweaks to the originals when they weren’t quite right. Your tweaks were right on because they were definitely YOU.
Christina! This was so fun to watch, I loved seeing you translate these outfits through your own lens and make them work for you! She did a good job! That red pendant is a great lifting colour for you and I love the suede blazer idea and I love the bag. Her outfits look great!
Love what Alberta suggested! Great outfits!
All of the outfits look great on you. She did a great job shopping your closet 😊
This was so much fun ❤️
Great video! I'm impressed. In the outfit with the white shoes, they became the focal point of the whole look.
Alberta did a great job, everything looked great.
yes - the red cardigan! I love that you haven't given up on it
I love your red sweater! Seems like Alberta was an awesome choice for you. Great outfits😍
Outfit #1 was a my favorite. It looked great on you and had a very "this is just how cool I dress all the time" vibe. She definitely nailed some great looks for you. Love the idea of working with a stylist this way. Great video!!

These outfits are soo good, even of it's not exactly my style....looks so good on you, good job Alberta ❤

I'm still on Team Sell the Red Cardigan, but I'm glad you've found a way to wear it that you enjoy.
Thank you for doing this. I use Indyx and wondered what hiring a stylist through the app would look like.
Great video, so fun to find more creativity with your closet!
The red cardigan looks great on you!
loved the outfits. I thought the cargo pants in outfit #3 looked really good with the shirt. I liked the soft, drapy texture contrasted with the structured knit.

I love this video and your analysis of the picks. I am seriously considering using the same service.
Wow! She did an amazing job ❤
Do another one with the same stylist?
Thank you so so much Christina for making such a beautiful contents for us and I really really love watching your videos a lot you are looking just Wow and I wish you have a beautiful Sunday♥️🥹💫
This was so good, I get bored as well, but mostly because I feel I play it safe a bit ~. I’ve been considering a stylist!
So true: we underestimate the power of accessories and overestimate the power of clothes
Thanks for that reminder!
What is your secret to having your clothes so nicely photographed into Indyx? I started and they looked so demotivating on the pictures that I stopped. But your images look so-so good!
When I can I try to find the e-commerce photos and use that!
I had a similar problem. I try and find the online image. I can use the photo of mine to do a search using Google lens.

I saw Alberta's video on her channel about this stylinh sesh. Loved seeing the reccs come to life! What happened to the silver outfit?!!
I agree about accessories. I'm petite, so there's not always as much choice in clothing. So accessories make all the difference.
I thought the black outfit was so gorgeous. You looked great in it
The outfits and your tweaks to them were really great. I loved the bag she recommended. I bought something similar at TJ maxx recently and it really styles up an outfit.
Alberta killed it.
Excellent ! I have added a brown cordouroy and velvet blazer ... living in Florida ... leather isn't such a great investment
You could also wear a red lip instead of a red pendant ❤
You could play with the idea of tailoring a "fold" at the neckline of the sweater! Could make it easier to wear since a closed neckline makes the color much more pungent on your face! I love the color personally
Absolutely loved the all black
I wonder if high waist and cropped jacket would work best. Loved the moto jacket.
loved this
Loved it. Thank you. A really fun idea :)
Lovely video as always. 🙌🙌🙌
Love the 3rd outfit not too much so good for a dinner out also nice with the wide leg pants makes you look taller.
Love this! I may need to get a styling session!
she did SOOO great! so worth it!
Look #5! Love the suede blazer and red cardigan 😊
The red cardigan saga continues lol 😂😂😂 loved it ❤❤❤
I loved all of these outfits on you!
Your style has come such a long way!
I’ll love to see how your index calendar is going
I love this! btw how do you photography your clothes to create these outfits? Would love to see that process. Thank you!
Add big black boots w/the cargo pant/peplum outfit.
Great video!👏👏👏 Obrigada!🇧🇷
Love all your outfits ❤❤❤
She nailed it!!!

@@Christinamychas hahaha YES, and its not The Californians unless someone breaks character. also because: Kristen Wiig is essential
A very random question for Christina and anyone who sees this: How do you wear trousers that hit the floor? Three hacks I do if I don’t tailor them - my pants don’t actually drag IRL!
1) get snaps put in by your tailor so you can adjust the height
2) tuck into the back of your shoe
3) safety pin just the back so you still get the good puddle in the front!
I don't get the red cardigan 'issue'; I think it looks fantastic on you!
Amazing looks!! Did she style any of your jeans for you? I’m curious about that 😅
I did a video talking through all 10 looks!!!
