      Hi, I watch your channel for my personal cleaning, I enjoy your content. I have a question about the Toiletwand. I’ve been using the product for over a year now, I bought a lot of refills when I first purchased the kit. I’m about to run out of cleaning pads, and was thinking about going back to a regular brush. What is the main advantage of the Toiletwand? I still clean the Wand after using and let it dry, like a regular brush. Debris can get up into the wand if it gets submerged while cleaning, which it does for me. That’s why I rinse very well. If the Wand still needs cleaned, what is the advantage? Is it supposed to be easier to clean than a regular brush, because of no bristles? What am I missing? Thanks.

    I've used this product ever since it came out. It is my favorite cleaning tool ever! I used to get nauseated with those nasty cleaning brushes, no matter how well I cleaned them. This system is wonderful and does a great job! It felt so good to throw the old brushes and containers in the garbage!

      I would be careful with purchasing them on Amazon as I’ve done this twice to save money and they always send knock-offs that fall off the plastic connector and fall into the toilet. Actually wasted my money. So now I buy them straight from the source or the store. Perfect quality that way

      @@a.colleenfray2138 I have been using this product for years, and loved it. However, since covid, the Clorox brand also falls apart. I thought it was a fluke when I bought the first time after things were available again, so I bought it again. Same problem. I got something else in the meantime, but tried to come back to it after a year and same problem. I'm done with it now. If they can't fix their problem they will lose customers.

    Hi Angela, I have used this since it came out. I love it!! When I clean my bathrooms, I use the antibacterial wipes from Costco (Kirkland) and the disposing of the little toilet scrubber makes me feel better. Not having a grody brush with germs all over it is great. When I'm finished with the wand, I use one of the wipes to clean the end. I just hope they don't stop making these. It seems to happen with me when I find a product I like and use. Thanks for the demo. And i am glad it does what it says and disinfects. Thanks!

    Love this product! I have been using it for years. I clean my toilet just about the same way you do but I use Clorox disposable sheets instead of paper towels (even on the tile floor around the toilet) and dry with a paper towel as needed. This way it’s all sanitary and I didn’t have to touch anything and it’s all in the trash instead of my washing machine. I like the idea of rinsing off the wand in the sink (hopefully before I have cleaned it!!!). I just let it drip dry over the toilet. I am not a professional but just a housewife/stay at home Mom who has been cleaning my own house since Covid (and off and on over the years-70 next month!). Gotta say though its getting a little bit harder getting down on my knees every time. Will be looking for a cleaning service when we move into the new house we are building. It will be way too much for me with 8 bathrooms!

    I purchased this product for my guest bathroom when I opened an Airbnb but failed to include instructions for how to use it. Unfortunately, one of my guests flushed a scrubby head, and my husband had to pull the toilet up to dislodge it. Tonight I've been researching alternatives, but I am also considering putting it back into service once I add usage instructions to the sign on the back of the door. I do like the convenience and sanitary nature of the product, but it is expensive to use---especially when used improperly. :)

    I did use the Clorox toilet wand system for a while, but I prefer Scrubbing Bubbles. I think it does a better job of under the rim, and I like that the wand just hangs on the side of the tank so there is no caddy to take care of. The refills I keep under the sink. If you haven't reviewed this item, you might try it out to see which you like best. Scrubbing bubbles has two types of heads. The scrubber which you use for regular cleaning and a flushable soft paper head to use on skid marks.

    I have been using this system for 3 years now. The only problems I have encountered are, the disk material tends to get water bogged and loose while being used. These were new disks 2022 and I think they may have had a production issue- so be careful. I did not have that problem with the first disks I used...When the disk becomes "water full and floppy", take it out (it will also appear to be pulling away from the plastic it is on). Then just use a fresh one to finish the cleaning and avoid a fall apart situation. The other issue I had occurs when cleaning down the throat of the toilet - the disk can get caught and pulled off! I had one go down the toilet and had to call a plumber to retrieve it out as it lead to water overflow ! Great Review Angela Brown and very thorough- esp on the MSDS sheet info.!

      Thanks for the feedback and the heads up. I appreciate your review as well. I wonder what happened to the production of the new discs. Were they Clorox brand? I've had less than fun user experiences when I use "off" brands with branded products - somehow they don't perform as well, or they fall apart. 🤔

    I have used the Clorox toilet cleaner since it was first marketed. I love it. I hate brushes as they splatter as you clean. It is impossible to remove the water from the traditional brush and the holder serves to hold this water and allows metal of the brush to rust. I cannot say enough good things about the Clorox cleaner. Also thank you for the information on the Clorox company and their diverse products.

Once the wand has been in the toilet bowl I could never set it on the bathtub, counter, sink, etc. (even if it is technically clean as Angela mentions....maybe it's just me but I wear disposable gloves, then when I'm done cleaning the toilet I release the used scrub head directly into an empty plastic grocery bag, wipe the handle off with a paper towel and put it into the same plastic bag, then remove my gloves and put them in the bag and take it directly outside to my trash bin. Then I wash my hands even though there's been no contact at all, lol! I'm really not OCD, I promise, just easily grossed out and take no chances.) Seemingly nice wand, BUT --- when the pad goes down the toilet (instead of into the trash can) it gets VERY EXPENSIVE. Yes, it happened and here's a quick summary of the results: (1) The renter [or a helpful friend?] cleaned his/her apartment toilet on move-out day. Nobody has admitted to doing it, but somehow the Chlorox disposable toilet cleaning pad went down the toilet and out of sight. (2) Checking the vacant apartment, the caretaker and later the property manager flushed the toilet [water only] and it looked/worked fine. (3) The next day a new tenant moved into the apartment and later she used it. The solid wastes immediately blocked the toilet, the bowl filled and sewage overflowed onto the floor. (4) The maintenance guy tried a plunger and then a snake to clear the toilet drain. Neither worked. The snake grabbed something, jammed, and could not be pulled back out. The toilet was removed and the blockage was not visible from either the toilet bowl or the toilet's exit hole. (5) A brand new toilet had to be purchased and installed. (6) The old toilet, with snake still stuck inside, was taken outdoors and broken with a hammer. VOILA! The Chlorox toilet wand's pad was on the end of the snake and there was a load of "sewage" piled up on the bowl-side of the lovely pad. BOTTOM LINE --- This is a "CRAPPY" DESIGN, not unlike little children swallowing and choking on small toys. SUGGESTION --- Provide larger [flush-proof] pads, or trash this product as a potentially expensive hazard.

      @@AskAngelaBrown do Not use this product! I extensively read reviews on it about a year ago, and from that I learned that this product (used to be) good, but the company changed the product and started making it as a real shoddy product, and the product (now) has become cheaply made, and the pad doesn't stay on the wand. So, I didn't purchase it. The reviews helped me to avoid this (now) cheaply made faulty product.

      Never had a problem with the heads falling off. If I did, I'd pick it out before flushing. Anyone with a brain in their head would not flush something like this down the toilet. It's no different than flushing rags or toys down there. It is an excellent product. I guess if you have clueless people using the product you've got a problem. Nothing should be flushed down any toilet other than what the toilet is designed for. Also, wet wipes and thick soft toilet paper should not be flushed, neither dissolves well enough to prevent eventual clogging somewhere.

      I’ve been using this system for many years with great results. You need to be a bit careful with it. The refills occasionally separate or are stuck together. I always park my trash can very close by. When done cleaning I dispose the head right into the trash can with waterproof liner. It does a good job of cleaning the toilet. I use it weekly, and use a plain brush in between. It seems within the last year the quality of the brush heads has been good again. Caution:
      I wouldn’t leave this system out when guests are expected, or in an Airbnb. It plainly states on the box Do Not Flush. However, if you leave the system out, the box with user instructions won’t be present any longer. It might be easy to assume the brush heads are flushable. Or, as is often the case, people don’t bother reading instructions. Don’t take that chance!

    I love your videos and appreciate the time, effort, and knowledge that goes in to the content you provide. Thank you. I wanted to share my experience with this product and hopefully it will help others that may have similar flooring. Our main floor powder room has hardwood flooring. I learned the hard way that the wand holder for this product has a tiny drain hole that empties directly to the floor unlike traditional brush holders that hold any liquid remaining on the brush. The wand end of this product traps a tiny bit of liquid in the click mechanism that eventually finds it way out to the drain hole and directly to the floor. I now have a damaged wood floor that was concealed under the wand holder. Not happy. Also the caddy is rather large and has a lot of surface area that requires extra time and attention to keep it wiped down and clean. Thank you for pointing out that the cleaning head is small enough to flush and clog the toilet. I can only assume this type of clog would require a plumber and possibly a new toilet if this hard plastic piece gets lodged in the inner workings of the toilet. With young kids and guests it just seems like an accident waiting to happen. Because of these reasons I now just keep a wand and a ziplock bag of refill heads in my cleaning caddy and do not leave any of it next to the toilet.

      Not really designed for bathtub tile and walls. The toilet brush pods are designed for one time use only and they are a lot like an SOS pad. Once it is wet it starts to break down. It is great for toilet cleaning but if easier and faster is the goal, I recommend a good old fashioned toilet brush (paid link amzn.to/3o87oyg) next to the toilet. Each morning for 10 seconds, clean the ring line, under the rim and in the drain of the toilet and you'll never need any heavy duty cleaning pods, toilet bowl cleaner etc. Just a bit of powdered cleanser every couple of weeks. As an apartment manager - I cannot stress how many toilets we lose to this product - they have to be replaced if the head comes off - it jams in the toilet and cannot be snaked out. Plus, on the environment side - the plastic waste it produces is not ethical. While I understand toilet brushes gross folks out - they can be sanitized and reused.
    I live your videos, information, and reviews. In this case, the convenience does not justify the waste the product adds to the landfills or, extremely expensive toilet replacement when the product fails.

    I love these. I wish they made the caddy smaller though. It is too wide and the disposable heads bounce around inside and turn upside down. I took the tube from a roll of paper towels, wrapped it in aluminum foil and put it inside the caddy. It holds them tightly in place and makes it easier to get them out. I think they work so much better and with much less mess than a brush and toilet cleaner. When you buy in bulk I don't think the expense is too much for the extra benefit of making toilet cleaning a much more pleasant a job.

    I have been weighing it back and forth in my mind before I finally decided to buy one. I really like it a lot, I like how it isn't disgusting after using it. Like a toilet brush would be no matter how much you think you clean the toilet brush it always leaves nasty gunk in the bottom of the container and I can't stand that. I just went to Amazon and purchased a 30 pack of the heads. It's cheaper on Amazon than it would be at Walmart.

    Hi, will this eliminate the need for toilet cleaners / stain remover? The cleaners with the angled bottle heads.

    • @AskAngelaBrown
      @AskAngelaBrown  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So the toilet bowl cleaners on a pH scale are 1-2 which are REALLY STRONG chemicals. And once you've cleaned a toilet and it's looking fairly new again, a brush with gentle brushing should eliminate the need for all harsh chemicals moving forward. If you don't need the harsh chemicals, for the sake of your health, and the environment - don't use them. :-)

    Hi Angela! I recently found your videos and really enjoy watching them! No disrespect, but I was taught to clean a toilet starting with the parts you touch first (so you don't spread grime and germs). I see you cleaned the toilet seat (the side we sit on) AFTER cleaning behind the toilet seat and that grossed me out (although, I'm the person who will NOT sit on a public toilet seat without toilet paper lining the seat I sit on or squatting so I don't touch anything). In this particular video you can even see the dust and grime was transferred from other areas you wiped 1st onto the seat we sit on. I always clean the handle first, then turn my paper towel in half and wipe the seat we sit on, turn towel, and then go on top of tank and sides, turn towel, and wipe the dirtiest parts of the toilet, under the toilet seat, behind toilet seat and rim of toilet bowl. Then get a new towel for the outside of bowl, floor area, etc. Your thoughts? Also, want you to know I have learned many things about cleaning and products from watching your shows and I thoroughly enjoy your personality and knowledge, thank you!!

    My coworkers are using this to first clean the outside of the toilet.😄🤭 They think since its Cleaner that it's meant for outside and inside toilet bowl. I told them it's called toilet bowl cleaner. It only was meant to replace the nasty toilet bowl brush.

    Christmas?? I pitty the fool who gets me a toilet cleaner wand for Christmas!!
    lol I’m teasing!
    I just bought mine on Amazon and it comes in a very commercial generic white box that says Clorox wand 3 in 1 kit
    And no instructions on the box or inside
    I’m here to see if the refills do go inside the caddy.

    I bought the entire system from Amazon. The wand, holder, and a giant bundle of the scrubber heads. They are all defective and the heads fall off the holder when you snap it in. I'd have to go through and glue each head to the scrubber part, to make it work. What a huge waste of money! I came here to make sure I was doing it right. It's the product, not me. Aggravating!

      @@jjbud3124 I didn't return it. The company was absolutely not interested at all when I complained directly, and Amazon blew it off as well. I just checked back at Amazon last week and read hundreds of reviews like mine, of people complaining they'd received what now is confirmed 'counterfeit'. We all relied on Amazon to ensure we were getting authentic products, and we weren't. I can see why the company didn't want to acknowledge it. #CovidRelated

    Hi! Can I use this for the bowl section of a bidet? I can’t find info anywhere and not sure if it was safe because of the protective seal on the bidet.

    • @AskAngelaBrown
      @AskAngelaBrown  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you have a stand alone bidet and it is made of porcelain or ceramic yes. But if you have a plastic bidet just be gentle with the toilet brush or wand so you don't scratch the plastic. Most bidets will withstand a good scrub brush.

    Do you find rising it out in the sink to be sanitary? Is it more advisable to do it in the tub/shower?

    • @AskAngelaBrown
      @AskAngelaBrown  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The sink or tub are fine. There is running water in both and you can scour out either with soap and water after you're done - you can even rinse the toilet wand it in the clean toilet bowl water. Just don't flush the head because they clog the drain.
