    I use a stream light protac. The one that takes 2 123s. It’s low, double tap for full brightness. Momentary and constant. It’s perfect. Little on the large size but if it’s the only light I have other than my phone or weapon light. Perfect.

    I have some Beretta grievances. So.... I just got 2 Beretta Bobcat Inox. One was built on a Wednesday and one a Friday. The Wednesday is 100% reliable, beautifully machined, a joy to own. The Friday one has marred rear sights that were smashed down on one side before the finish was applied. There are a few machining eye sores. The main issue is the trigger bar(whatever the black thing on the right side is called) is slipping off the hammer internally. You can noticeably feel it catching and scraping the aluminum frame. The hammer catches halfway back when you feel it fall off. Then the trigger does not return to single action.
    Anyways... the FFL and Palmetto State Armory have policies where I could not reject or return it. Beretta policy says they are not responsible for any cosmetic defects accepted at the FFL. It looks like I'm stuck with a lemon. I don't know how this thing got off the line.

    1:52:59 Hop is spot on here. I've had these arguments with boomer hunters about how x new cartridge shouldnt exist because older y cartridge has similar numbers. Sure, if you already have a 7mm rem mag, keep it. It's not any worse than the 7prc, but if you dont have one already, why not get the marginally slightly new and improved one?

    I help run an outlaw idpa and two gun club and wish that hop and brass had not let two bad experiences ruin their opinions on competitions. Our club is anti-gaming for the most part. Your score is your score, and if you want to argue with me or another RO, you can bitch in the parking lot because you're done for the day. There is also a new competition out there that limits the gaming aspect with different categories, open and tactical. I think its called pcsl, and i think it would be right up y'alls alley

    Muscle memory has a term thats been around in athletics for ages and ages. Its more simple than neurological pathways, propripercestion, or whatever other long winded word salad people want to replace it with. Everyone knows what it really means vs how its being used at this point. No need to science the violence

    Hop lost me on the competition rant. It takes a helluva lot more to win at the top level than just knowing how to work around the rules. Shooting is a measurable skill and there are people who measure off the charts. Doesn't mean Lucas is a bad shooter, but he's not on par with an Eric Grauffel.

    • @paddypibblet846
      @paddypibblet846 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      He's half right. There's things that happen in practical shooting sports that are very dependent on knowing ruleset, stage tackling, and skills that aren't directly tied to ones ability to actually shoot good. THAT BEING SAID, all the best shooters funnel into practical shooting sports, so in the end you do have to be an amazing shooter in order to win at the highest levels. What he's saying applies moreso to lower/mid tier competitors where someone who's USPSA savvy will win over a better shooter who's not too knowledgeable on the sport aspect. I've met guys who shot damn well and when I asked them how long it they've been competing, they said "first time", up until that day they had only been dry firing and taking classes. And had they actually understood the sport a bit better and polished some of the more sportive skills, they'd have finished much higher. Truths a little grey, but yeah, most tacticool TH-camrs couldn't shoot their way out of a paperbag.

    Watching this was the first time that I've ever encountered the term "cheek pistol," so I googled it and now I wish I hadn't... Why?
    I can only think of two scenarios where that could potentially be useful, but with those two there's better options.
    The first would be if you have some kind of hard cover that you're married to, like a ballistic shield. But then cheeking the pistol sort of defeats the purpose of that shield by exposing part of your head.
    The second would be if you're stuck holding a barricade of some kind, and trying to maintain a stable firing position with a firearm that's suboptimal for the task like a TP9 or some kind of unbraced PDW type thing.

Its rounds through walls and chaos. It looks lime Faluja. It looks like what we are seeing in Gaza and the Ukraine

      @@gunnierunner1 at this point, I can’t take these guys serious anymore especially when it comes to any of their advice about shooting skills . I laughed when they were talking about making all stages blind. Like do you really think you would start beating the other guys at the match if that were the case ? I guarantee you wouldn’t. And also, since shooting matches all over in Arizona on and off since 2009, I’ve never seen anyone argue with the guy running scores at a match.

      @@PrimaryAndSecondary Ill check it out. I run my team through matches without them. The most skilled shooters still win so I don't think it matters from a competitive standpoint.

      @Lwikfo 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@PrimaryAndSecondary I understand the schedule thing. But I think it’s absolutely necessary (in our career field) we find time to compete once or even twice a month. Not to win titles or prizes but to pressure test our skills. Especially if you are in a firearms instructor position.
