      7.62x39 is superior to 5.56x45 and 5.45x39 out of short barrels, retaining more velocity while being less velocity dependent for terminal ballistics in the first place.
      The 7.62 bullet being twice as heavy has more momentum, causing it to have less deflection by intermediate barriers such as brush. It does a better job of smashing things like brick and concrete. Thats not even talking about stuff like Chinese API and tungsten core, the bigger bullet just has a bigger payload, more room for engineered shit inside the bullet not just lead.
      The AK is best suited for a folding stock/brace, which complements the shorter barrel. 7.62x39 is superior in general terminal ballistics, especially when talking about soft point and ballistic tip bullets like Federal Fusion and Hornady SST. The vast majority of combat happens within 300 yards, and this cartridge is optimized for it. The steel AK magazine is the most reliable detachable box magazine design there is, unlike the AR15's which was designed to be disposable. AK mags are so tough you could beat someone to death with one, and it would still function. The AK itself is a physically stronger object if used as a blunt force weapon itself or subjected to extreme abuse, AR15's have a problem with the receiver extension snapping off at the castle nut area. AKs are also superior in a sustained fire/SAW role as the gas tube on AR15s explode when over heated.
      I could go but this is enough for now...

      @@Kinetic.44 Meanwhile in Ukraine, there's helmet cam footage of 7.62x39 failures to stop. All that energy, and the icepicking 7.62 requires magdumps to stop people.

      @ChucksSEADnDEAD Same can be said for some 5.56 rounds like M855, fleet yaw is the term. Look at Garand Thumb's AR vs AK video. 7.62 did more damage even with ball ammo. We as Americans arent limited to military ammunition, so my point is even more relevant for us. More than twice the amout of lead to expand and fragment inside the body. My AK are zeroed with Hornady SST.

      @@Kinetic.44 Fleet yaw with M855 is preferable to no yaw inside the target with M43. At least there's a chance a follow up shot will work.
      One is not limited to military ammo, but surplus military ammo was one of the main attractions of 7.62x39.

    Gary talking about condensation in his RV, that’s a big draw back of propane heat, it produces a LOT of condensation. If you’re planning on using an RV as a permanent living solution, I’m not kidding when I say look into getting a wood or pellet stove put in it for winter

    • @berryreading4809
      @berryreading4809 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Do those van/RV add on diesel/fuel heating systems have the same condensation problems? I know they can be installed with just a fan on thr outputs instead of multiple outlet hvac style setups which I assume would change possible condensation issues... 🤔

      @@berryreading4809 i haven’t used a diesel or gas heater, so I’m not 100% sure, I know my Kerosene heater isn’t as bad about making condensation, But that’s also a shop heater, so again, not 100% sure

      @@AhHereWeGo same here I've used kerosene space heaters but only large metal buildings (insulated and not) but my experiences are not really comparable to a small metal tube/box that is airtight... Although I think those van/RV specific heaters definitely have a separate exhaust and just use the heat like a LNG/propane central heating unit in a house, just much smaller and simplified, but still made not to introduce any carbon monoxide or other fumes, just heat (assuming it's installed and working properly lol) I've seen them online and in several "build" videos but have zero actual experience with them... I know in the build out videos they usually add some type of closed cell foam (boards or spray on or a mix of both) but I'm guessing that's more for plain insulation not specifically to combat condensation... 🤷‍♂️ I have some older friends that spent days driving and towing a stripped down camo'd out surplus school bus with bunks and an exterior mounted fireplace deep into the woods to use as a hunting camp, only to wake up in 20 degree weather with it raining on the inside a few hours after they went to sleep 🤣 They tried taking in sheet foam to insulate it, without success. Plus at the time they had no affordable way to add air circulation or good ventilation while still being able to pack the stove once before going to sleep, so they eventually gave up on the project after working on it for like 2 years before making all the effort to get it into the middle of nowhere, only to be better off with the tents they had before 😂 (I think this was like the very early 80's or late 70's) I'm pretty sure they drug it back out a couple years later after they filled everything but the fuel tank and engine full of bullet holes in frustration 😆

    Add salt to the holding tanks as you go. Also stick on silicone oil pan heaters from the auto parts store on the holding tanks to be used when needed. There is nothing that can stop the condensation. The insulation is too poor. Rubbing alcohol or RV antifreeze helps in an emergency. You got a great education in your journey.

    Wood stove is a must, and they keep your place really dry so you can actually control the humidity and keep it comfortable but mold free. If you're clever with some copper piping you can set up a pretty simple system to heat and vent air to things like your shit tank.

    Hop's take on competition is wrong because he values placings as the primary reson/payout. I look at it similar to jiu jitsu. Ive trained off and on, and fought, since the early 2000s. Belts werent a thing at catch wrestling and fight gyms. When i switched to dedicated jits schools, i never cared one bit about a belt color. I cared about progress and testable results. Does your brown belt mean your better if a blue belt can maul you? Does Brass's placing matter when in a real life situation, he out preformed the field? Competition is a great litmus for your training AND its the closest stress level you can get to real world situations. If your not doing it for a living, who cares about your results if your learning and improving. Ego is a bitch. Learn to squash it.

      It's less velocity dependent by being shit at any velocity. The cartridge is optimized for 300m, as an euphemism for it being worse past that point. I don't need to beat people with mags because I have a martial arts background. AR gas tubes explode to protect the barrel from losing its heat treatment, which is just smart because it disables the rifle before a soldier can ruin it.

Lol you think you can concentrate force with your bare hand better than a steel rib? If im being over run and about to die I couldn't give a fuck about the heat treatment of the barrel. Thats a shitty bureaucratic excuse for a flaw in the design of the lightweight nature of the AR15. Weapon design is all about balancing trade offs, nothing is perfect. If you think Eugene Stoner made the gas tube a thin aluminum straw to keep the dumb grunts from effecting heat treatment on their barrels, with the US military's practically unlimited budget, your just willfully ignorant. I notice how you didn't touch on buffer tube snapping when used as a weapon, btw be sure you collapse your stock when you have to mortar it lmfao
