    I wear Tobacco Vanille to work several times a week. I don’t need a special occasion to wear my expensive fragrances. I wear them for myself when I feel like it. I have no rules lol!
    The company I work at also has a fragrance and flavor division so wearing fragrances is encouraged

    Teddy man, both of you guys actually, are very good influence on the current fragrance community. I see a lot of big fragrance channels going quite downhill with the constant "MUST BUYS" and god knows what they are promoting fragrances with, but it's feeding consumerism and shopping addiction.
    Also, the reaction video's are really innovative, and well done :)
    Keep up the amazing work guys!

      So many don’t realize that they are feeding an addiction. I stopped following these influencers, once I started noticing my spending trend. Not to mention a collection that you will never go through, unless you are bathing in it.

    Great tips Teddy! One major point is the climate, because of the reasons you mention, but also one thing I don’t think is talked about enough is both climate and humidity. Both these things can alter the way a fragrance smell massively. As a reference I have bought a fragrance on a vacation, which I loved the smell of, but when I came home it was different, more flat smelling and not as vibrant, and that kind of ruined the fragrance for me.
    A good side note tip, don’t expect the fragrance to smell the same in every climate.

    • @JaxBespoked
      @JaxBespoked 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      YES! Dryness and Humidity are very underrated with respect to performance and smell. For me it is MFK Lumiere Noire pour homme that changes drastically with respect to humidity; from Love (humid) to actual dislike (dry).

  • @dontknowbetternameatm

    i dont give a fk about atomiser and bottle and design and everything overall. If it gets empty it ends in the trash. The only thing i give sht is price and quality (smell, silage, longevity, not bottle and other shits), nothing else matters.

    Are you pro or against clone houses? I’ve been dabbling into a big one recently to get my nose on a lot of things and really enjoy being able to wear what I want, when I want, without worrying about price. What are your opinions on this?

  • @HDmanzano1995
    @HDmanzano1995 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Great content man. I completely agree on sampling before making a purchase. This past week I went into Saks and actually smelled a bunch of niche fragrances I’ve been wanting to try. I have mostly designers in my collection at this point. It was such a great experience! After you a actually get your nose on some of these scents it’s crazy how some of the most hyped fragrance can be complete misses for you while others are absolutely amazing. Example - I loved Greenley while I really did not like Sedley.
    Go out there and sniff it up!

    I can’t agree more with how important sampling is. I was into blind buying when I first started getting into fragrances, based only on reviews.
    Though I was lucky with a few blind buys, I was either disappointed or not impressed with most purchases.
    It’s a very expensive hobby and sent is subjective .
    Sampling saved me literally thousands. During the last two years, I sampled around 85 fragrances. Some high end designer and mostly niche. That cost me around 500-600$. The combined price of all those fragrances if had bought them full bottles would’ve been no less 17,000$!
    So I theoretically saved roughly 16,400$. Out of 70 samples, I bought only 3 bottles and one 10ml travel atomizer, and have less than 10 on my wish list. I have 15 samples coming in tomorrow. Very excited! This really help turn off that urge to just buy blindly.

    I think his claim that you should like it first and foremost is so so important. How you feel wearing and enjoying a fragrance can be just as, if not more, important than how the majority of people take to your fragrance. The majority of fragrances don't stink, so even if it's a 6/10 to most people, you looking dignified and comfortable has a greater and larger projection.

    i bought 2ml mancera cedrat boise, beautiful smell, lasted 30 minutes, then nothing. I asked a few people can they smell it on me or my clothes. NOPE
    i've heard so many good things, i had montale red aoud, intense pepper, red vetiver - lasts forever. i think mancera DID reformulate it to be weaker, so they can introduce the new version "intense"

    • @markbalki

    • @Kluneberg
      @Kluneberg 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Similar experience with Cedrat Boise but the sample lasted 3-4 hours, I've read that Mancera doesn't macerate their fragrances so if you buy one you have to let the bottle sit for few months in order for the fragrance to mature, no clue if this isn't BS so idk.
