This vintage bottle of CH. I own quite a lot of Vintage bottle but only paid $25-90. Not $150-$400. I just spent $50 for a 1/2oz of Hermes Bel Ami. Vintage is wonderful. I enjoy them immensely......

Hi good job on lowering the hype on these fragrances ... about aqua 16 , i actually own both 2016 and 2018 aqua and i really get great performance out of 2018 and i love the scent more because it feels more natural ond more refined than 2016 invictus aqua , whats your opinion on 2018 ???

AVENTUS in general should've been on this list. No one I mean no one should be paying 300-400 for a fragrance that has shit quality control

Ok but let's not act like any of the cheaper clones haven't had quality control issues either. I must have bought and traded 3-4 different batches of Club De Nuit intense man, all having poor longevity and lacking in overall performance.. If you want something that's going to smell like aventus, stop kidding yourself and just save up for it.. the batches don't vary that much, they only do because the ingredients generally aren't synthetic. Since buying aventus recently, I've had no issues with longevity, lasts 8 hours. If you have to get a smaller bottle to save some money, there's no shame in that at all, because you won't have to spray more than 2-3 times anyway...

@@lookItUp91 body chemistry has a lot to do with it. Every bottle I've owned has been a dud, and I always order from fragrancenet, so they're legit bottles. For me, aventus is much better, a lot less abrasive and kitchen cleaner like in the opening and mid like you get with CDNIM, and a lot more smoothness and fluidity in it. If you've actually had your nose on the real stuff, no matter what batch, you can easily smell the difference. Like, mugler cologne and Creed's original vetiver smell extremely close, original vetiver is actually a clone of Mugler cologne, but it's so much smoother.
It is the reason i love Explorer.
I have read so many Reviews on lack of quality control with Aventus.
From lack of longevity, watered down, doesnt project for long.
For a 300 Fragrance... that is just hype and buying into a brand.

I bought the red ribbon Ch Men really cheap from a discounter. It was about 25 pounds. I don’t know how long they’d had it but it batch code is 2014.

Another alternative to Invictus Acqua is Rasasi Hawas. I own it and on my skin it performs extremely well. I purchased mine for around $55. I strongly recommend it! 👍🏽

Absolutely agree on not supporting the ridiculous prices for second hand vintage bottles. Therefore thx for recommending an Invictus Aqua alternative, I'll give it a try if I find a sample somewhere. Same for CH Men, though I gotta say, I bought my new bottle of CH Men in 2016, so about 2 years after the hype started, and I think that already wasn't the vintage bottle. Still very much enjoy the scent.
With Dior Homme, I also prefer the Intense version, but I do get if people who only want to own a handful of fragrances say they'd rather stick with the more versatile original. For fragrance enthusiasts, I agree, I don't need to have it in my collection since I always have a bottle of the Intense here.
And what I can't agree on is Acqua di Gio. Yes, everyone has smelt it before, it won't make you stand out at all, it may even remind some people our age of their dad, but I just really like the scent. In fact, I still prefer it over the Profumo version even. Don't own either so far, but I've definitely thought about going for one, and I'd probably give the original the nod just because I like it better.
Alexandria Fragrances has an extrait version of vintage CH Men called Sweet Suede. It’s spot on and lasts a long time.
Did Invictus Aqua ever get released in 2017? I was about to buy a bottle with the Copyright year 2017 on the box. If they did, does that mean it was part of the 2016 batch formulation, or is that an early edition of 2018 variant?

Apart from some performance issues, ADG is still a very nice, refined & sophisticated aquatic scent, better than 80% of the modern trash that is being sold today.
agreed. it's a classic. very good quality cologne for a reasonable price. only problem is the projection and performance is somewhat lacking and it's a very common scent. still worth it though
I just bought an Invictus Aqua 2018 100 ml tester for 49$. It is good for 5 hours and it smells amazing.
I also got Bentley Momentum Intense and I love it, I get about 7 hours with it for 30$ - what a steal.
I've got to admit that I still love the way ADG smells, but 3 hours and at that price... Armani is taking us for fools. I'm planing on buying an ADG Profumo, but it's pretty expensive, but I think it is worth it.
I must admit; I was pleasantly surprised by this video (young man). I have over 150 fragrances and you are on point with your comments.
Any thoughts of La Nuit de L'Homme? Do you feel the current reformulation is still worth it?
I still think the current formulation is worth it. I’ve actually done a video comparing all the different formulations if you are curious about that
aventus in current formulation is very weak and not worth it for me, aventus cologne is very long lasting and in original formulation....way more interesting and worth it over newer Aventus
I’ve had the opposite experience. AC was relatively weak on my skin, 2016-2017 batches of Aventus far out performing it
if it can be buyed at a cheaper price go for it aventus cologne hes just going off what Jeremy said a lot of designers are pricy and aint master pieces n get the job done n not niche quality but over 100 dollars a bottle sometimes almost 200 dollars retail for dior n chanel n Armani without being a masterpiece so I take these reviewers ideas with a grain of salt

Actually I got CH Men (new formulation) bottle, and I am actually surprised with it. The performance is insanely great! It is really super long lasting, three sprays and I will keep smelling it for long looooong time.

Can you please do a review on Abercombie and Fitch Fierce cologne. It used to be so so so popular I been using it for about 10 years but in fact Now i spray it and no one cares back than non stop compliments, not anymore
I found DHI was really hard to wear with my style of clothing along with my lifestyle. It’s an amazing scent, but I ended up selling it because I wasn’t reaching for it. I sold Aventus because it didn’t work well on my skin. Gave way my bottle of CH Man because it smelled kind of cheap, and I never wore it. Gave away my bottle of Acqua Di Gio Profumo to my brother because it smelled way better on him than on my skin. Still haven’t tried Costa Azzura, but I really want to try it. I haven’t tried anything from parfums vintage

I found a 2016 Invictus Aqua in one of those lowkey perfume shops in UAE, noticed there's ike only 2 left, however I was not impressed by performance at all, it lasted like probably 3-4 hours on skin and projection was gone within an hour or even less..I couldn't smell it on outfit either, trust me, it ain't olfactory fatigue because I haven't smelled a fragrance before that, I checked out the engraved batchcode and it's real, manufactured 4 years ago, so I don't get what's the hype around this fragrance..maybe it's a tester bottle or maybe it's just kind of trash in the performance, the smell however was sexy, even though i'm not a fan of aquatic scents
But still love the 2016 invictus one of the best aquatic fragrance ever.

Im pissed that someone stole my DHI. I used to wear both Dior Homme was what got me into fragrances. Now DHI is so much more expensive.
Dior homme intense is to sweet and heavy. Dior homme edt is sooooo much better. And Dior homme parfum is nice because of the leather.

Why not just buy the 2016 reformulated version of CH Men, it's so darn close to the original the average nose won't tell the difference, and last about the same?! WalMart has a sale on the 6.8oz for only $72, $50 off. Just ordered me a bottle yesterday. BTW it's shipped and sold by WalMart so no worries about getting a knockoff. 👍

The most expensive scents I've ever bought are Bleu Chanel EDP - which I recently realized is too popular nowaday - and Chanel Allure Homme Edition. Next month, I will buy about 6-7 bottles to increase my choices. I never own any Dior fragnances so I considering between DH, DHI and DHP for "special occasions". I live in Saigon, Vietnam - where is hot everyday so I tend to DH and becoz it's most cheapest. Many wrote recent batch has bad performance so... I dun know.
Albus Tran Dior Homme performs very well especially for an EDT unless there’s been some reformulations. Smells great too I love it in the winter with a nice coat

My original Aventus smells like nothing. I can hardly smell it after 5 mins and definitely won’t be buying it again after this bottle is done. Not sure why anyone would think it was a good idea to make a “lighter version”.

Me too, I prefer it over aqua di gio it lasts much longer, projects more and has a bit more of a spice note which makes it more manly I feel.

My advice, go to store, test, walk away, make up your mind when it has settled down ie performance etc. Many excellent fragrances that smell lots better and out lasts many expensive fragrances for less than 20 dollars, I know, many girls have told me so.
