- Tyler Shields is former professional inline skater, photographer, screenwriter, and director. Recognized as “Hollywood’s favorite photographer,” Tyler creates stunning contemporary works featuring many prominent celebrities such as Lindsey Lohan, Nathan Fillion, Emma Roberts, and many others.
Tyler’s journey to Hasselblad began out of a need for higher quality images that could be printed on a larger scale. Utilizing the H6D-100c, Tyler is able to print without any worry about degradation. In addition to digital, he continues to shoot medium format film. I love Tyler Shields. Watching him with Mike and Jake and their whole process and how they just connect with one another and shooting film made me want to transition to film. I’ve been saving to get a Hasselblad because of them lol.
I love that you guys mention Tyler's rollerblade background. I don't know that it brings anything to his photography accomplishments but I've been a blader since the mid 90s and that's how I met Tyler. There are many of us in the community who are artists of one sort or another and it's true, many of us are either photogs or videographers. Anyway, he certainly has a way of seeing things differently. Talented then, talented now.

I hate to say that equipment is inspiring but any time I look at my 500CM, my imagination runs wild. It makes me want to make photos. It slows me down and makes me think. I feel this video.

My first Hasselblad was a H3D-22 which leapt to the H6D-100c. Purely for the joy of using this camera. I've taken so many photos with it that I am very proud of. Though watching this video with your deliberate compositions is truly inspirational, thank you Tyler and Hasselblad.

later this year i want to move into medium format but i cant tell the difference for print which camera to get. hass, phase of fuji.
I really enjoyed my time using the H6D but the shortfalls missing from the camera with no focus stacking, no electronic shutter and problems with the mobile software was deeply disappointing as with the absence of a 150MP CMOS all of which PHSSE ONE offer as standard.
I want the CFV II 50c!!!

The Moon landing anniversary edition is allegedly ready to ship, the cfv-ii could/should be here by summer... I am eagerly awaiting announcements.

Really loved my 500CM, just don't do what I did once and put a 220 roll in a 120 back, (it was dark and had been a long day:).
