    @bifi34 this is because in TKD competition nowadays most ppl aim and use speed to score many points fast , instead of power to make the opponent hurt or get a KO , KO's can be achieved even without much power but most ppl utilise speed more to score points , but if they can knock u out with one kick if they decide to use more of their power

    "a strong roundhouse can bend someone over, these guys are holding back a little". I've done TKD for 14 years, 10 of which were completely dedicated to it, and I've competed in many tournaments, these guys don't hold back. Yes, a strong roundhouse kick can bend someone over, but do you have any idea how hard it is to land a "strong" TKD roundhouse kick to a non-tkd fighter?

    But now Karate above.The game is a very practical martial art that continues to defend itself
    even if you fall while attacking.
    Therefore It's very impressive that the players try not to fall even after a big foot attack
    such as a spin kick!

    Taekwondo is an unconventional martial art that stops referees from falling while attacking,
    so they often get points and fall down, so they lose a lot
    when they compete against other martial arts martial arts martial arts,

    @deguimeraUSA honestly i dont think they r holdin back...its the tech in which they do the kicks that there is not alotta power...the round kicks 4 instance...their hips r not completely rotated so all the power is only in their legs...not in their whole body....same wit back kicks n all that...

    선수들도 돌려차기 등 큰 발공격후에도 넘어지지않으려고 얼른 균형을 잡는 것이 매우인상적!

    How come WTF taekwondo don't punch to the face, it's a bit unrealistic isnt it?
    the first thing that's going to happen in a real fight is a smack on the nose !!!!!!!

    • @jeremypaulskinner
      @jeremypaulskinner 10 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      It's not about being realistic. It's a sport.
      Guess what? You can't kick, takedown or choke someone out in boxing.

    • @andrewwheeldon3957
      @andrewwheeldon3957 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      you can in kick-boxing

    • @jeremypaulskinner
      @jeremypaulskinner 10 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Yes, can you eye poke? Can you fish hook? Crotch shot? Can you choke people out in kickboxing? My point is that being a sport, there is limitations and there is no point talking about "This shit wouldn't work on the street" when you're looking at a tournament or competition.
