As a watch collector/enthusiast with around 20 watches ranging from invictas to omega and Tags I LOVE my bulovas and just picked up this piece. It actually gets more love than my more expensive or luxury pieces!
I bought this blue version instead of the Tissot Gentleman. I was on my way to buy the Tissot and just stopped at Birks. Saw the Bolava display. Tried a few on and this one really impressed me. I bought this very excitedly
i like bulova they are nice for not silly money , i collect watches and always keep an eye on prices , have been looking at this for many months , bought today new for £179 which would be close to that in dollars .. gold watches seem to be making a come back , am glad about that , everthing goes round in circles ....
My wrist is 165 cm, I really like it but if it goes beyond my wrist I will change my mind. the diameter is 45mm, but how much does the whole thing make with the case? :)
Most of watch guys i follow dont like bulova, wanna ask what do you think and do you have some recommendation where should i buy it? Is there a valid site from which i can order cuz where i live it costs 510 euros
@@nikolavidovic7297 Bulova is a great entry level watch brand, I wouldn't call it a luxury or enthusiast brand and it is typically associated with department store watches which has hurt its reputation amongst collectors. I personally think its a very good brand to start off watch collecting with, Id pick one best watch that I personally like to check mark it off my brand collection list. Jomashop, ashford and several other grey market dealers have great discounts on them.
I picked this up a few years ago and I love it but I dont wear it a lot. I have been tempted to sell it but I just cant do it. I know it would be a huge regret.
@@kevinrandersthat is what makes me stop from buying this watch it kinda reminds me of a hublot but at the same time kinda also reminds me of an AP so it’s like. 50/50 thing for me
@piamorada1969 unscrew the crown and you can wind the gears to store the energy. If you aren't wearing it or winding it every day, it will run out of energy and stop working until you wind it again.
That was the 1st nice watch u ever bought. It's a very nice watch. This marinestar catches people's attention more, though. I have e the black and gold marinestar with black and red band.
Can some help me I have another bulova watch my wife bought me this piece. I am kind of confused as the watch doesn't keep time so I have to adjust the time every couple of weeks. Is it a battery issue or does it need a new battery.?
Get the movement checked, with automatics if you wear it daily it shouldn't vary too much, but if its still showing significant variation it might need regulation. This one shown here doesn't use batteries since its automatic
Hi, I have this watch and daft as this may seem but how do you wind the watch up for the 1st time as I didn’t do this to start with and was wondering why it stopped working after around 4 hours of not wearing it. I have looked into this and discovered it needs to be wound up. I pull the crown out but it doesn’t seem to be any resistance when winding. Any help would be great thanks. Fab video btw
You can just wind it without pulling out the crown, a nice shake of the wrist should get it going, however if it continues to stop while you are wearing it or doesn't wind and shows a consistently declining power reserve the movement may need servicing.
Some people (including myself) prefer time only watches, especially if you have multiple watches and no watch winder, you keep having to set the date very frequently.
@@theopulentlife889 I'm such a retard. I've been wondering why mine never comes close to the 40 hour reserve. I've never wound it. I'm such a dumbass, lol.
It has a Miyota Japanese movement, Bulova is owned by Citizen so most the of stuff is japanese I'd assume. Perhaps the straps and bracelets are sourced from China but not always.

Wear it whenever you want :)
Absolutely stunning watch below USD 1,000.00 (in my country). Some of my friends even mistake it for a Hublot.
so sorry! Nothing should ever be mistaken for a hideous Hublot. Sorry you have to go through that! 🙂

Did this come with a Certificate to verify its Authentisitiy. I bought mine from KAYs. Just curiius??
Yes it did they all do if you buy from ADs
Would you recommend it as a daily watch ?
Probably not (at least for me) because of its uber casual vibe, its a great weekend watch though.
@@theopulentlife889 What if I'm just a casual everyday person lol
It would be fine in that case :)
Would you mind sharing the name of the watch you are wearing? It is a lovely piece.
Bulova 96A119 is the name
I just owned the black version... i love it!!
People , stop asking questions he’s already given answers for !
I do have the same watch bulova.. but it seems its not working. Can you give some idea how to operate?thank you.
It's automatic so give it a quick shake and it will start
@@theopulentlife889thanks you. i did shake it already. After awhile its stop.

Great video bro!!! But for the same money... Wich clock will you recommend me? Which alternatives?
Hamilton and Tissot have a good variety if watches in the same range including Seiko or even Citizen, microbrands like Axios are also pretty good
Nice looking watch!!! I love Bulova
Indeed it is an iconic brand 😎
Yes it is 😁👍
Do you have a suggestion where one could buy this particular watch? Seems like Bulova is not producing it anymore?
Check out Macys or other department stores
It's beautiful but the one you are wearing is 😍 I would buy that.
Bulova 96A119 thats the one I am wearing

I got the Donald Duck Bulova Marine Star. Its a fun watch.

You have to wind it at least 6-7 times before using it for the first time

Awesome piece from bulova
Is it weird that once I wear and adjust the time it works but if I leave it overnight in the box the time just stops?
Need to wind it a bit more and wear more often, if the problem persists Id get it checked out.
Because its automatic and it works with your movement
@@jaquelinhernandez8369 that’s the answer ^
It should have a 40 hour power reserve..if u take your automatic off your wrist and it stops running I would have it looked at
Wind it with the crown before taking it off.
Beautiful piece.
Thanks
Can you please review versace VERB00218 watch
Great looking watch but dont show date… why??
Some people (including myself) prefer time only watches, especially if you have multiple watches and no watch winder, you keep having to set the date very frequently.
you didn't give it a Doug DeMuro score
Yeah some of my videos have it some dont, still experimenting with what works best
So how you make this watch work
Set the time, wind the watch give it a bit of a shake and it'll start working.
@@theopulentlife889 I'm such a retard. I've been wondering why mine never comes close to the 40 hour reserve. I've never wound it. I'm such a dumbass, lol.

Did a video on this too
does this model have a stop second?
Looks like a very expensive dive watch
It does look very premium indeed
China moviment!!!!!!!
No it's not Chinese. It contains a Japanese Miyota 821D automatic movement. If you have something other than that it's probably not genuine.
