Own both. Enjoy the hell out of both. I pretty much only play my ps5 for the exclusives. Everything else I play on Xbox. Gamepass has been amazing as well this past year for just the huge volume of games to play and trying new games.
Same as me man, I grew up a PS kid and got a 360 to play Halo years later and now I can't just choose one honestly. The PS5 is used for their exclusives whereas ANY other game is straight on my Xbox.
Bought 2 Series Xs for my brother and family, things a no-brainer. You can just buy gamepass ultimate for 3 years and get your moneys worth in 3 months, from simulators, to indies, to AAAs, its a financial savior.
The Xbox and the game pass ecosystem is an entirely different beast. Just being able to play games on a console, PC, tablet and phone has given me a way to play more games with the portability of a switch or a laptop. Also the xbox controller might not have dual sense features but IMO it feels the most ergonomic with the most compatibility around many devices. In hindsight it makes a lot of sense why the xbox controller still use AA's since you may need to alternate batteries if you play game pass on the go.
People complains about xbox using AA since the 360, but tbh either get rechargeable batteries or a battery pack. It's just better overall, the controller won't end up in the trash once the batteries are dead. I can't use any of my old wireless playstation controllers without a charging cable nowadays, yet my xbox one and 360 controllers are just fine.
@@marklark4170 Ever heard of retro-compatibility? Plus you can't assume console popularity on current sale numbers because both consoles are always sold out and Sony has been ahead in terms of produced units since launch. It's going take a while until console availability settles down.
I'm more of a Nintendo Switch guy, but to each its own. I'm not really into ps or xbox games, but I'm sure that someone else will like them. Gaming is about this. Respecting each other.
If the Switch was a bit more powerful, had no drift, and launched with an OLED screen and Bluetooth support….I’d put it in the #1 spot as well. Glad Nintendo is slowly correcting these issues.
Love both systems, but for me, my PS5 collects dust after I'm done with an exclusive. I can easily go a month or more without turning it on. My Series X with gamepass however is a game changer....period. More fun, more to try, more interesting.
I’ve been with PlayStation since I was a child, but PS lost me when Jim Ryan took over. $70 games, no quick resume, no automatic FPS boost, no 1st party RPGs, no simple way to expand storage. PS may be the sales leader, but Xbox is more pro-consumer atm.
I disagree on storage. Yes it’s more involved on PS5, but it’s literally one search away to figure out and fairly easy to do. The problem with the Xbox storage method is that it’s entirely proprietary, which means for one it’s locked to your Xbox, and it’s going to be more expensive.
Yeah it's crazy that the PeasantStation doesn't have one single next gen feature or game all gen to compete with the endless list on the far more powerful X. 👍
As someone who hasn't owned a "mainline" console (I had a Switch for about 4 months) since the PS2 generation, buying a Series S was really worth of the money and it's been a really nice experience witg GamePass and Quick Resume. I've bought games like The Witcher 3 and AC Valhalla and they run smoothly on the Series S. I might wait for the pro versions to buy a PS5 or Xbox focused on AAA games and graphics but I think the Series S is an excellent console option right now.
You know… a while back you mentioned you were struggling with passion and ideas around the channel, that you were taking a step back. I have series x, PS5 and switch. I definitely play my xbox the most. The most I’ve played my PS5 was when Deathloop came out. Then most of my time was between my switch and xbox. Getting stuff like Back 4 Blood, 12 minutes, and GTA: SA on game pass day one has been amazing! Also the process for handling cross generation games/saves on PS5 is still a pain in the ass
I have both and the depressing thing about PlayStation is there is no group posts like Xbox has and i want to play my PlayStation 5 but I can never motivate myself to stay on it because it’s easy to communicate, contact individual people and go to group post to play with specific people and make friends with your interest while PS5 you’re lonely unless you get lucky and find someone in a lobby of the game you’re playing. PS5 is very restricted on communication and they need to make a group posts of their own that function fast and reliable as Xbox does.
I've never saw an empty lobby on any ps5 multiplayer game EXCEPT for Destruction AllStars. PS has the most players in almost EVERY multiplayer multiplat. A fact people seem to ignore.
I have a Series S and a PS5, and I definitely favor my Xbox for the simplicity, ease of use, and I find the Xbox controller more comfortable to use. However, the PlayStation has always had better exclusives, and when a big one releases, it takes up all of my gaming time. Also, the dualsense is pretty incredible. Both are amazing systems that are worth investing in.

I got PS5 at the time of launch. I absolutely love it, especially 20 free games that came with it. Huge upgrade from PS4 pro. It's fast, quiet and has games that are just amazing. I can't wait for Horizon Forbidden West 😊.
I have both and I agree with you 100%. When I go to buy a game, I always look into how well the Dualsense is used. If used well, I likely will buy it for PS5. In saying that, the Xbox is a far more complete console in a lot of ways. You really can’t go wrong with any of these.
I like to haptic feedback but am I the only one who doesn't like the resistant triggers? I just don't like the idea of something pulling against you when you're pressing a trigger
Incorrect. The PS5 is 100% the more comple system. I own both and I find the XBox to be very basic compared to how the PS5 is set up and how it feels when you play games on it. When I play my Series X, everything just feels... Cheap and basic to me. The PS5, to me, is clearly the more advanced console and the first system that I think of when I think of "next gen". I'm wondering which holes all of you XBox trolls are coming out of, because almost every human being I've ever met and had this discussion with has agreed with me and been more partial to the PlayStation and than the XBox. I'm not even seeking these people out, it has always just turned out that way when the subject has come up. Whether it be random people, or close friends and family of mine, they have always generally leaned in the direction of Playstation games and systems being better than the XBox games and systems. Everyone I know who has owned a Playstation has owned just one until the next generation comes out. Everyone I have ever known who has ever owned an XBox, has always had to go through several new ones and replacements because they always end up breaking or getting the "red ring of death" or some other dopey iteration of the same issue. Especially on the 360, that system was cheap garbage. My PS3 and PS4 never died, broke, or permanently shut off like that. Sony just makes better products.

Better optimization (lesser bugs and gliches than pc release). Gamepass on console has better deals and games day 1 than pc gamepass.(GTA :San Andreas is only on console gamepass), ps exclusives will not come out day 1 on pc so it's either a year or year's of wait. If you're va pc ganer, you need the best of best which cost more than 1000 dollars but consoles are 500 only. So ya .... Consoles will always exsist and will be as dominant as the Pc market.
I got both and they’re phenomenal systems, love how powerful they are compared to the base Xbox One and PS4 that came out in 2013, can’t wait to see the future of these consoles, just hope we can get more games and for the shortages to end so more people can get their hands on them 😄🥳
I have a ps5 and a series s. I’ve been a ps fan boy since i got my hand on the ps3 before the ps4. I got a series s to play with friends and I love game pass , forza and Microsoft flight sim. Love the series s ps5 combo!
I have the both and logged roughly the same amount of hours on both…up until late summer. Since then, Microsoft blessed Xbox users with some mega additions to the Game Pass subscription. The value and quality of Xbox Game Pass is so good now that lately I hardly ever turn on my PS5 anymore, unless I’m playing certain online multiplayer games with my Sony-only buddies. Otherwise I probably won’t reach for my PS5 very often, at least until Gran Turismo 7 releases.
Same. Went all into Xbox. With Gamepass and what they are offering, it is just a more complete and solid offering than Playstation at this point. I sold my Ps5 because the cross gen handling has been hot garbage and I wasn't really interested in the exclusives like in the past. Both are great but right now, Xbox has the goods for my case use.
It's important to note that even though PS5 has sold more units, both consoles are pretty much sold out at every retailer so it's also a supply issue (and scalping issue). Not to mention that Xbox technically has 2 separate consoles out and Sony has the same one in 2 different models.
Same story. I own both, but I play the Xbox much, much more. Not every Sony exclusive suits my taste, and the Xbox is such a great machine for daily use, so much more convenient. And game pass IS that big of a deal. I used to only recommend Playstation, but after almost a year with both, my advice is this: Unless you're batshit crazy about Sony exclusives, the Xbox is a much better option.
Have to agree with you. Have both and I find myself on my Series S the most. Mainly cause I take it to work and game on my down time. Both systems are great but I have a feeling I'm only using my PS5 for the exclusives.

I have a PS5, but if had both I’d probably use the Xbox more. Better online capability and a slight graphical and power superiority. But I have one, the PS5, and I wouldn’t change it for a second. I’m a PlayStation user in the past, I love the majority or the exclusives that come out so it would make no sense for me to have an Xbox as I’m quite and antisocial gamer anyway. So I think it’s entirely down to one’s relationship with gaming, but it’s no surprise PlayStation seems more popular as in my opinion if I didn’t own one, I’d be missing out. And if your a PC gamer it kinda makes Xbox obsolete.
Today marks my 1yr with the ps5. Couldn't be happier and happy I'm still not trying to find one like so many people are. Hopefully soon everyone will be able to get whichever console they want.

That is also the huge advantage of game pass…. Tons of AAA day one releases that you may not have spent $70 on (or even $20-40 dollars) are on game pass to play. The value is just beyond nuts

I can see the insane value it gives you, but my dumb ass brain likes plastic, so I make that my reason for not being subscribed. So I got the Xbox series X as my first Xbox console but had to return it because it wouldn’t play some games made for series X and S. Loved the design and game pass. I pre-ordered the PS5 and waiting for that to be delivered before Christmas.
Own the Xbox Series X since launch. Grateful for MS efforts in optimizing backward games when Exclusives were lacking. Neither companies will circle back and focus on past games moving forward. Honestly I find it difficult keeping up with the pace of games released on Game Pass and it's only going to get worse. I'll get the PS5 revision or Pro midcycle for the Sony Exclusives but until then I'll be busy playing Forza 5, Back 4 Blood, Flight Simulator, Show 21, Yakuza series, Gears 5 or remasters like Skyrim, GTA San Andreas, Oh yeah, Halo Infinite is coming in 3 weeks too.

Here’s a better way to do it: PlayStation has more over the shoulder single player games and Xbox has more multiplayer games. Xbox has more single player games coming with the studios they’ve acquired.
What about the ability to play PS1, PS2, PSP, Nintendo Wii, Dreamcast, GameCube games? U can do that on Xbox just by paying 20£ for developer mode and using retroarch. Soooo many single player games.

Same here. I'm waiting for the games for PS5 to release. Historically it takes every Playstation about 3 years after launch to have a great list of AAA exclusives. I think by 2023-2024 will be the best time to own a PS5. In the meantime, Series X/S offers the best games to date and the best services.
Exclusive titles are awesome on the PS5, but as a PS5 owner who recently picked up a series S console.. I haven't touched my PS5 all month. Game pass is just SUCH a great service, quick resume has fundamentally altered how I experience my games and just feels so insanely next generation. I think if you include game pass in mind the xbox is just this undeniable behemoth.. the value is insane. I couldn't imagine being a kid and having this console and just this massive library at my fingertips, Sony has no answer for this service. I am excited to play titles like God of War, Spider-Man etc but as things stand right now my Xbox is just getting all of my attention and is honestly the console I am the most excited about.

I have both Systems, and I deff enjoy both. For me I enjoy playing solo games with my PS5 and enjoying the feeling from the controller with specific games, but once I turn on my Xbox Series X, I find myself playing for hours and also playing with my friends in a lot of games exclusive on Game Pass.
Ok so being completely honest. I have a Xbox one. And I’m currently deciding to get a next gen. Ignoring all the m rated titles because I don’t want the kids playing them. Should I upgrade to series X or get the ps5 to have both (Xbox one and ps5)
I play halo on Xbox and all my single players on ps5 simply look better .. Xbox needs more games I still play bloodborne and demon souls which Xbox have no response for and I need me a souls like game for Xbox

You can always get a series s for now since it should be widely available and as long as it's in good condition, you should be able to return it by January because of the extended return period from Best Buy and Amazon

Gamepass is an absolute game changer for me. Having access to a never ending library and day one exclusives just hits differently to the $70, 20 hour experiences Sony put out two or three times a year.
I tend to use my PS5 exclusively for...well, exclusives, and my Series X for everything else. It's become my main gaming hub (especially since my PC died and trying to get a new video card is absolute hell on earth) and with gamepass being such a phenomenal value, I'd say you can't go wrong with either
I've had a PS5 since launch and I have no regrets. The thing has been amazing so far, never a dull moment. I would buy a Series X but I've been able to use my Xbox One X for all the Xbox games I want to play so I cant justify it just yet, but I'll get one eventually.
I got the Xbox, i'm more a Nintendo guy but when i heard all the good stuff coming on Gamepass i decided to pick up one with Gamepass and meaby a couple of games here and there. For example i haven't played Red Dead Redemption 2 yet because i skipped last gen Xbox and Playstation and i have recently picked it up. And i have to say i cannot have been happier with my choice, i really really REALLY enjoy gamepass even on my crappy Chromebook or phone. It is so easy to pick up a game and play for a short while without having to wait much. I like that aswell on the Nintendo Switch where i can just easily pickup the Switch play for like 15 minutes or so and put it in sleep mode so i can play later where i left off.
They could have literally waited a year so they’d have more inventory to combat scalpers. I literally mostly only play Xbox one games on my Series X and ps4 games on my PS5. Most games are just upgraded versions. They look beautiful yes but they honestly could have waited. (Personal opinion)
I think the Xbox sales suffered from an additional strain on the availability since Microsoft uses the same CPUs to build their cloud gaming infrastructure. As far as I can tell, Series Xs are still sold within minutes or hours from being available. I don't think they would have sold more systems than playstation but it probably still is a large chunk.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales isn't a DLC! That's a ridiculous saying from Xbox fanboys in 2020. What kind of DLC takes 6+ hours to complete?! There's also lots of new & improve stuff in that game. There's a lot of more PlayStation 5 exclusives that will be releasing early next year. Sony is known to make better games than Xbox. Which is why he said people should buy a PS5. I mainly bought a PS5 for their exclusives and for their upcoming PSVR headset.

This will be the first gen where I will have both systems. I got the Xbox series X first last year since I wanted to get the backwards compatible games that I grew up on, and nothing besides spiderman Interested me on the Ps5. Still having trouble finding one, but I’m not in any rush, I’ve got to try it out at a friends house and I’m really impressed with the controller. Your statements are pretty much on point, Series X is extremely convenient with Quick Resume, Game Pass, Backwards Compatibility. But PlayStation 5 has the potential for better Immersion. Great year for gaming! That’s all I can say!
XBOX is on schedule to take PLAYSTATION’s throne. Sony never listens to their gaming community and squeeze out every penny they can get from their loyal customers. Relying on exclusives can only get you so far. Microsoft’s vision of making the greatest console with the help of its loyal customer’s feedback and investing a lot of money to develop their own unique exclusives will allow them to make greatest comeback in gaming history.
I pre-ordered the digital then changed my mind and managed to get a disc and had to hunt it down, I also wanted a Series X but didn't want to go through all that again so I got the Series S and it surprised me every day, runs smoothly and tbh I just enjoy GamePass so much more than what PS has to offer...
I think even if i had both, I'd probably still play primarily on the Switch. Being tied to a TV to play has been difficult, I've started Horizon Zero Dawn three separate times, and always fizzle out after a few hours even though i love the game and have not progressed very far. Never even finished Catherine on the PS3, now on Switch I've done 3 playthroughs, and still working on Talos Principle as well. Throw in all the great Indies, like Horace, and it's just gotta be Switch for me
Got both and I barely use my PS5. Gamepass always have something for me to play. Also features like Dolby Vision/Atmos, VRR and Quick Resume makes getting third party games on Xbox a no brainer.
At some point I'll get a Series X to go with my PS5, but Microsoft doesn't really have any big exclusives that I'd like to play. Hellblade 2 should be great though, and hopefully Starfield is great. I'll probably get a Series X in late 2023 when they have a few games that interest me.
i will agree with you on that, tho it's going to be interesting to see if zenimax titles will be Xbox only exclusive. if they are you might see a shift.
@@demonpride1975 The Zenimax titles absolutely will be exclusive, Phil Spencer has stated that their games will be on systems where GamePass exists, there have obviously been some deals that were already in place like Deathloop which they honoured but any that didn't have an existing deal in place won't be available on Playstation
I own a PS5 and it’s awesome! Also, I will be getting a Series X for Christmas (naughty me checked a purchase history). I do focus on PlayStation more than I do Xbox, but now that I do have a Series X (I will get one), I’ll be able to see the next Bethesda games there and stuff. I do know for sure I will spend much of my time on the PS5 since I get all of my games there but I still do see myself using the Series X a lot.
Yeaaa so sell both and buy just a gaming PC stop with all the foreplay. Get more PC games than both consoles put together, get all new Xbox titles, get some older PS exclusives, and buy all these games cheaper than either console. OH and its a PC so vastly more versatile for productivity, its not just mid level gaming box :P

I plan to do the same thing! I got my ps5 a few weeks ago, and plan on grabbing an X when I can. Last generation I got a ps4 very early on, then the pro, but I fucked up buying the Xbox One X Gears 5 edition. I love it, but they literally announced the Xbox Series X like a month after I bought it! For the same $500, I could have just waited. Oh, the buyers remorse!

I think if you plan to get both consoles, you should get the PS5 first for the current games but if you can only afford one I’d choose the Xbox. It plays games better, has more and better features, and their future exclusives like TES6, Starfield, Fable, etc will arguably be more attractive
Well you also have to think about horizon zero. Dawn God of war and Gran Turismo which are proven to be good exclusives as well as the new Spider-Man game. So yeah when it comes to single PlayStation has them beat

I own both the XSX and the PS5. I play mainly on the Xbox. A few reasons: 1. Game pass ultimate. So many games and you can buy 36 months XGPU for $20-30. 2. buying redeem codes from Argentina is always very cheap. 3. Quick resume, I don’t have much time so I have to save every bit of time 5. Cloud gaming, I can just try it first without actually downloading it
I agree with them not making them fast enough. I literally finally just got my series X and a PlayStation is literally almost impossible to get where I live. And I’m definitely not going to pay these outrageous prices on eBay or StockX or even on market place.
We have to mention gamepass when it comes to these console comparison videos! Gamepass is leagues ahead of Sonys offering for a subscription service, and the ease of access makes the Xbox a much more available gaming experience. With the Xbox series S (in terms of price and availability, Xbox all access (which almost always guarantees you a console, at a very cheap monthly price with no interest, if you can’t afford the console outright,) and with Gamepass (hundreds of amazing titles, and day one launches, for only 15 dollars a month,) Xbox makes it so easy to enter into next gen gaming at a very affordable level. I feel like by not mentioning Gamepass, I’d be doing a disservice when trying to help someone choose between which console to buy. I would be disappointed to buy a ps5 only to realize that I’m buying games at full price when I could play many of those same games on Xbox for free if I’m a Gamepass subscriber.
The best answer is if you can afford both then buy both. Tbh both are amazing consoles that have amazing games. Sony’s exclusives and Microsoft’s games pass are amazing features and you won’t be disappointed in either console purchase.
I'd say sales for both consoles have been incredibly limited by stock issues, nobody seems to be able to get a hold of either. Xbox also has a lot of smaller exclusives like Sable, The Ascent, Song of Iron, Moonglow Bay, Echo Generation and, for a while, Death's Door and I recommend checking out all of them at least for a little while
Majority of XSX are in scalpers garages. All you have to due is write a little code, create a shopping cart bot, and in a blink of eye you can have 20 Xbox’s in your cart, and immediately checkout before the average person can type in “Xbox” onto the retailers website. Then proceed to create a shitty eBay account and sell them for double the price. I don’t know how they combat this without requiring something like an ID photo at checkout. Who knows
Both consoles have their own advantages. PlayStation has the upper hand in its library of exclusive titles, while Xbox has the upper hand in extra features like Game Pass, backwards compatibility, quick resume, and play anywhere. Both can bring an awesome time, depending on what you prefer.
I have both. Just finally got the series x. Had my ps5 since launch. Quite frankly I only got the ps5 for exclusives like gran turismo. They're both great in their own ways but the x just feels better to play and less compromised. Microsoft made the closest thing we've ever gotten to a perfect console to me.

I actually have all 3 consoles, Xbox SX, PS5, Switch OLED. Xbox is my daily driver with game pass and will be very busy now that halo infinite is out, got the PS5 just for exclusives and to be a 4K disc player in bedroom, switch is mainly used for party games in living room and as an “airplane Skyrim player”. Xbox is hands down the best place to be with game pass even if you only have a series S, most of my friends have kids and didn’t want to shell out $400+ on a console and all got series S which was smart by Microsoft to make a budget console because I know a lot of people that bought it that just game causally like 2-4 games at max on the drive anyways.

I can live without my PlayStation 5 easier than my Xbox series x. Gamepass is kick ass right now. Quick resume is the best addition to any console in years so much if a game is available on both I get on Xbox just for that convenience. Most of my ps5 time is playing upgraded ps4 games that I never finished on ps4
I’ve had my PlayStation 5 since January and wow I’m so glad I got the chance to get one; the graphics to the controller and speed is amazing plus the back catalog of ps4 games and new ps5 games I’ve been enjoying. I’m truly excited for wolverine and Spider-Man 2 plus the 25+ exclusive games coming No Limits
Missed out on a few solid chances at PS5s. Had the XSX since launch. PS will always have the edge for exclusives but the overall package may have the edge to X
I had a Xbox series X and I was almost identical to the Xbox one X while when I got the ps5 it was a totally different beast, I probably won’t pick up a Xbox again after touching the ps5 no lie 💯
Own both of these consoles and I love em both very much. Personally I play more on the ps5 because of the exclusives and because that's where my friends play, and xbox been playing it more recently because of Forza horizon 5 and halo infinite multiplayer. Yes game pass is amazing, and honestly have to disagree with u on the quick resume feature. It's something that is definitely welcoming but not a feature that I feel like I can't live without because honestly I don't really use it much I always end up closing all of my games but it's still a cool feature. This console generation sure is interesting with all of the delaying of games and what each console does better but ultimately, if your a fan of gaming either one will be a great option to get (assuming you can get it) but it's definitely looking up to be a great generation of gaming and I can't wait to see what's coming up next for Playstation and Xbox.
Ok so being completely honest. I have a Xbox one. And I’m currently deciding to get a next gen. Ignoring all the m rated titles because I don’t want the kids playing them. Should I upgrade to series X or get the ps5 to have both (Xbox one and ps5)

Own both. Enjoy the hell out of both. I pretty much only play my ps5 for the exclusives. Everything else I play on Xbox. Gamepass has been amazing as well this past year for just the huge volume of games to play and trying new games.

Bought 2 Series Xs for my brother and family, things a no-brainer.
You can just buy gamepass ultimate for 3 years and get your moneys worth in 3 months, from simulators, to indies, to AAAs, its a financial savior.
The Xbox and the game pass ecosystem is an entirely different beast. Just being able to play games on a console, PC, tablet and phone has given me a way to play more games with the portability of a switch or a laptop. Also the xbox controller might not have dual sense features but IMO it feels the most ergonomic with the most compatibility around many devices. In hindsight it makes a lot of sense why the xbox controller still use AA's since you may need to alternate batteries if you play game pass on the go.
Agree on batteries, but the play & charge kit should be included in the box, in my opinion. They can totally afford to do that.
People complains about xbox using AA since the 360, but tbh either get rechargeable batteries or a battery pack. It's just better overall, the controller won't end up in the trash once the batteries are dead. I can't use any of my old wireless playstation controllers without a charging cable nowadays, yet my xbox one and 360 controllers are just fine.

Love both systems, but for me, my PS5 collects dust after I'm done with an exclusive. I can easily go a month or more without turning it on. My Series X with gamepass however is a game changer....period. More fun, more to try, more interesting.

I’ve been with PlayStation since I was a child, but PS lost me when Jim Ryan took over. $70 games, no quick resume, no automatic FPS boost, no 1st party RPGs, no simple way to expand storage. PS may be the sales leader, but Xbox is more pro-consumer atm.
Storage expansion is extremely simple on playstation. The memory is so fast you don't actually need quick resume.
I disagree on storage. Yes it’s more involved on PS5, but it’s literally one search away to figure out and fairly easy to do. The problem with the Xbox storage method is that it’s entirely proprietary, which means for one it’s locked to your Xbox, and it’s going to be more expensive.

As someone who hasn't owned a "mainline" console (I had a Switch for about 4 months) since the PS2 generation, buying a Series S was really worth of the money and it's been a really nice experience witg GamePass and Quick Resume. I've bought games like The Witcher 3 and AC Valhalla and they run smoothly on the Series S. I might wait for the pro versions to buy a PS5 or Xbox focused on AAA games and graphics but I think the Series S is an excellent console option right now.

I have series x, PS5 and switch. I definitely play my xbox the most. The most I’ve played my PS5 was when Deathloop came out. Then most of my time was between my switch and xbox. Getting stuff like Back 4 Blood, 12 minutes, and GTA: SA on game pass day one has been amazing! Also the process for handling cross generation games/saves on PS5 is still a pain in the ass

I have both and the depressing thing about PlayStation is there is no group posts like Xbox has and i want to play my PlayStation 5 but I can never motivate myself to stay on it because it’s easy to communicate, contact individual people and go to group post to play with specific people and make friends with your interest while PS5 you’re lonely unless you get lucky and find someone in a lobby of the game you’re playing. PS5 is very restricted on communication and they need to make a group posts of their own that function fast and reliable as Xbox does.
Idk why the hell Sony got rid of communities. I think a lot of people used them. I used to interact with people on some communities once in a while.

I've never saw an empty lobby on any ps5 multiplayer game EXCEPT for Destruction AllStars. PS has the most players in almost EVERY multiplayer multiplat. A fact people seem to ignore.

I have a Series S and a PS5, and I definitely favor my Xbox for the simplicity, ease of use, and I find the Xbox controller more comfortable to use. However, the PlayStation has always had better exclusives, and when a big one releases, it takes up all of my gaming time. Also, the dualsense is pretty incredible. Both are amazing systems that are worth investing in.

I got PS5 at the time of launch. I absolutely love it, especially 20 free games that came with it. Huge upgrade from PS4 pro. It's fast, quiet and has games that are just amazing. I can't wait for Horizon Forbidden West 😊.

I have both and I agree with you 100%. When I go to buy a game, I always look into how well the Dualsense is used. If used well, I likely will buy it for PS5. In saying that, the Xbox is a far more complete console in a lot of ways. You really can’t go wrong with any of these.

Incorrect. The PS5 is 100% the more comple system. I own both and I find the XBox to be very basic compared to how the PS5 is set up and how it feels when you play games on it. When I play my Series X, everything just feels... Cheap and basic to me. The PS5, to me, is clearly the more advanced console and the first system that I think of when I think of "next gen".
I'm wondering which holes all of you XBox trolls are coming out of, because almost every human being I've ever met and had this discussion with has agreed with me and been more partial to the PlayStation and than the XBox. I'm not even seeking these people out, it has always just turned out that way when the subject has come up. Whether it be random people, or close friends and family of mine, they have always generally leaned in the direction of Playstation games and systems being better than the XBox games and systems.
Everyone I know who has owned a Playstation has owned just one until the next generation comes out. Everyone I have ever known who has ever owned an XBox, has always had to go through several new ones and replacements because they always end up breaking or getting the "red ring of death" or some other dopey iteration of the same issue.
Especially on the 360, that system was cheap garbage. My PS3 and PS4 never died, broke, or permanently shut off like that. Sony just makes better products.

Better optimization (lesser bugs and gliches than pc release). Gamepass on console has better deals and games day 1 than pc gamepass.(GTA :San Andreas is only on console gamepass), ps exclusives will not come out day 1 on pc so it's either a year or year's of wait. If you're va pc ganer, you need the best of best which cost more than 1000 dollars but consoles are 500 only. So ya .... Consoles will always exsist and will be as dominant as the Pc market.

I have a ps5 and a series s. I’ve been a ps fan boy since i got my hand on the ps3 before the ps4. I got a series s to play with friends and I love game pass , forza and Microsoft flight sim. Love the series s ps5 combo!
I have the both and logged roughly the same amount of hours on both…up until late summer. Since then, Microsoft blessed Xbox users with some mega additions to the Game Pass subscription.
The value and quality of Xbox Game Pass is so good now that lately I hardly ever turn on my PS5 anymore, unless I’m playing certain online multiplayer games with my Sony-only buddies. Otherwise I probably won’t reach for my PS5 very often, at least until Gran Turismo 7 releases.

Both are great consoles. I was able to get the PS5 first and I don’t regret it, probably my favorite controller for any system
It's important to note that even though PS5 has sold more units, both consoles are pretty much sold out at every retailer so it's also a supply issue (and scalping issue). Not to mention that Xbox technically has 2 separate consoles out and Sony has the same one in 2 different models.

Same story. I own both, but I play the Xbox much, much more. Not every Sony exclusive suits my taste, and the Xbox is such a great machine for daily use, so much more convenient. And game pass IS that big of a deal.
I used to only recommend Playstation, but after almost a year with both, my advice is this: Unless you're batshit crazy about Sony exclusives, the Xbox is a much better option.

I have a PS5, but if had both I’d probably use the Xbox more. Better online capability and a slight graphical and power superiority. But I have one, the PS5, and I wouldn’t change it for a second. I’m a PlayStation user in the past, I love the majority or the exclusives that come out so it would make no sense for me to have an Xbox as I’m quite and antisocial gamer anyway. So I think it’s entirely down to one’s relationship with gaming, but it’s no surprise PlayStation seems more popular as in my opinion if I didn’t own one, I’d be missing out. And if your a PC gamer it kinda makes Xbox obsolete.
I'm a Switch only gamer, but happy for those who love the PS5 and Xbox.
Today marks my 1yr with the ps5. Couldn't be happier and happy I'm still not trying to find one like so many people are. Hopefully soon everyone will be able to get whichever console they want.

So I got the Xbox series X as my first Xbox console but had to return it because it wouldn’t play some games made for series X and S. Loved the design and game pass. I pre-ordered the PS5 and waiting for that to be delivered before Christmas.
Own the Xbox Series X since launch. Grateful for MS efforts in optimizing backward games when Exclusives were lacking. Neither companies will circle back and focus on past games moving forward. Honestly I find it difficult keeping up with the pace of games released on Game Pass and it's only going to get worse. I'll get the PS5 revision or Pro midcycle for the Sony Exclusives but until then I'll be busy playing Forza 5, Back 4 Blood, Flight Simulator, Show 21, Yakuza series, Gears 5 or remasters like Skyrim, GTA San Andreas, Oh yeah, Halo Infinite is coming in 3 weeks too.

Same here. I'm waiting for the games for PS5 to release. Historically it takes every Playstation about 3 years after launch to have a great list of AAA exclusives. I think by 2023-2024 will be the best time to own a PS5. In the meantime, Series X/S offers the best games to date and the best services.
I'm the other way around where I'm having a lot of fun with the PS5. I plan on getting an Xbox later on, but I'm gonna wait a few years
Exclusive titles are awesome on the PS5, but as a PS5 owner who recently picked up a series S console.. I haven't touched my PS5 all month. Game pass is just SUCH a great service, quick resume has fundamentally altered how I experience my games and just feels so insanely next generation. I think if you include game pass in mind the xbox is just this undeniable behemoth.. the value is insane. I couldn't imagine being a kid and having this console and just this massive library at my fingertips, Sony has no answer for this service. I am excited to play titles like God of War, Spider-Man etc but as things stand right now my Xbox is just getting all of my attention and is honestly the console I am the most excited about.

@@derekm1384 Go with what you know mate at the end of the day the choice Is yours but for me personally it's xbox series x because apart from exclusives which is far between with Sony for each one of those games, the PS5 doesn't really have many games where as the xbox has gamepass which instantly gives you access to hundreds of games to enjoy.
One year after their release, I am still unable to find any one in store.
I went with the Xbox and GamePass Ultimate. It's so satisfying. Not looking back.
I’ve pretty much been a playstation kid all my life but seeing the convenience and gamepass on xbox has made me want to pick up the series x, hopefully i can find it in store soon :)

You can always get a series s for now since it should be widely available and as long as it's in good condition, you should be able to return it by January because of the extended return period from Best Buy and Amazon

Gamepass is an absolute game changer for me. Having access to a never ending library and day one exclusives just hits differently to the $70, 20 hour experiences Sony put out two or three times a year.
I tend to use my PS5 exclusively for...well, exclusives, and my Series X for everything else. It's become my main gaming hub (especially since my PC died and trying to get a new video card is absolute hell on earth) and with gamepass being such a phenomenal value, I'd say you can't go wrong with either

I've had a PS5 since launch and I have no regrets. The thing has been amazing so far, never a dull moment. I would buy a Series X but I've been able to use my Xbox One X for all the Xbox games I want to play so I cant justify it just yet, but I'll get one eventually.
If you have a decent PC, you also don't need an Xbox.
If you owned all three consoles you’d end up playing the Xbox the most.

I got the Xbox, i'm more a Nintendo guy but when i heard all the good stuff coming on Gamepass i decided to pick up one with Gamepass and meaby a couple of games here and there. For example i haven't played Red Dead Redemption 2 yet because i skipped last gen Xbox and Playstation and i have recently picked it up. And i have to say i cannot have been happier with my choice, i really really REALLY enjoy gamepass even on my crappy Chromebook or phone. It is so easy to pick up a game and play for a short while without having to wait much. I like that aswell on the Nintendo Switch where i can just easily pickup the Switch play for like 15 minutes or so and put it in sleep mode so i can play later where i left off.
Honestly Just get a ps5 and high end pc, everything on Xbox you can just get off of steam and probably for cheap too.
The quick resumes has given me short attention span im literally jumping from game to game every hour now 🤣

They could have literally waited a year so they’d have more inventory to combat scalpers. I literally mostly only play Xbox one games on my Series X and ps4 games on my PS5. Most games are just upgraded versions. They look beautiful yes but they honestly could have waited. (Personal opinion)
I think the Xbox sales suffered from an additional strain on the availability since Microsoft uses the same CPUs to build their cloud gaming infrastructure. As far as I can tell, Series Xs are still sold within minutes or hours from being available.
I don't think they would have sold more systems than playstation but it probably still is a large chunk.

I have a PS5 and use my Xbox One to stream Game Pass games. Forza and Halo have been some of the highlights of the year for me.

There's a lot of more PlayStation 5 exclusives that will be releasing early next year. Sony is known to make better games than Xbox. Which is why he said people should buy a PS5.
I mainly bought a PS5 for their exclusives and for their upcoming PSVR headset.

This will be the first gen where I will have both systems. I got the Xbox series X first last year since I wanted to get the backwards compatible games that I grew up on, and nothing besides spiderman Interested me on the Ps5. Still having trouble finding one, but I’m not in any rush, I’ve got to try it out at a friends house and I’m really impressed with the controller.
Your statements are pretty much on point, Series X is extremely convenient with Quick Resume, Game Pass, Backwards Compatibility. But PlayStation 5 has the potential for better Immersion.

XBOX is on schedule to take PLAYSTATION’s throne. Sony never listens to their gaming community and squeeze out every penny they can get from their loyal customers. Relying on exclusives can only get you so far. Microsoft’s vision of making the greatest console with the help of its loyal customer’s feedback and investing a lot of money to develop their own unique exclusives will allow them to make greatest comeback in gaming history.

I pre-ordered the digital then changed my mind and managed to get a disc and had to hunt it down, I also wanted a Series X but didn't want to go through all that again so I got the Series S and it surprised me every day, runs smoothly and tbh I just enjoy GamePass so much more than what PS has to offer...
I think even if i had both, I'd probably still play primarily on the Switch. Being tied to a TV to play has been difficult, I've started Horizon Zero Dawn three separate times, and always fizzle out after a few hours even though i love the game and have not progressed very far. Never even finished Catherine on the PS3, now on Switch I've done 3 playthroughs, and still working on Talos Principle as well. Throw in all the great Indies, like Horace, and it's just gotta be Switch for me
Got both and I barely use my PS5. Gamepass always have something for me to play. Also features like Dolby Vision/Atmos, VRR and Quick Resume makes getting third party games on Xbox a no brainer.

At some point I'll get a Series X to go with my PS5, but Microsoft doesn't really have any big exclusives that I'd like to play. Hellblade 2 should be great though, and hopefully Starfield is great. I'll probably get a Series X in late 2023 when they have a few games that interest me.

@@demonpride1975 The Zenimax titles absolutely will be exclusive, Phil Spencer has stated that their games will be on systems where GamePass exists, there have obviously been some deals that were already in place like Deathloop which they honoured but any that didn't have an existing deal in place won't be available on Playstation

I own a PS5 and it’s awesome! Also, I will be getting a Series X for Christmas (naughty me checked a purchase history). I do focus on PlayStation more than I do Xbox, but now that I do have a Series X (I will get one), I’ll be able to see the next Bethesda games there and stuff. I do know for sure I will spend much of my time on the PS5 since I get all of my games there but I still do see myself using the Series X a lot.
Yeaaa so sell both and buy just a gaming PC stop with all the foreplay. Get more PC games than both consoles put together, get all new Xbox titles, get some older PS exclusives, and buy all these games cheaper than either console. OH and its a PC so vastly more versatile for productivity, its not just mid level gaming box :P

I plan to do the same thing! I got my ps5 a few weeks ago, and plan on grabbing an X when I can. Last generation I got a ps4 very early on, then the pro, but I fucked up buying the Xbox One X Gears 5 edition. I love it, but they literally announced the Xbox Series X like a month after I bought it! For the same $500, I could have just waited. Oh, the buyers remorse!

I think if you plan to get both consoles, you should get the PS5 first for the current games but if you can only afford one I’d choose the Xbox. It plays games better, has more and better features, and their future exclusives like TES6, Starfield, Fable, etc will arguably be more attractive
Well you also have to think about horizon zero. Dawn God of war and Gran Turismo which are proven to be good exclusives as well as the new Spider-Man game. So yeah when it comes to single PlayStation has them beat
Ok so being completely honest. I have a Xbox one. And I’m currently deciding to get a next gen. Ignoring all the m rated titles because I don’t want the kids playing them. Should I upgrade to series X or get the ps5 to have both (Xbox one and ps5)
And When it comes to multiplayer I only really play Xbox with my aunt and cousin. I enjoy a good multiplayer game but it’s either with randoms I don’t talk to, or those two people

I own both the XSX and the PS5. I play mainly on the Xbox. A few reasons: 1. Game pass ultimate. So many games and you can buy 36 months XGPU for $20-30. 2. buying redeem codes from Argentina is always very cheap. 3. Quick resume, I don’t have much time so I have to save every bit of time 5. Cloud gaming, I can just try it first without actually downloading it

I agree with them not making them fast enough. I literally finally just got my series X and a PlayStation is literally almost impossible to get where I live. And I’m definitely not going to pay these outrageous prices on eBay or StockX or even on market place.
We have to mention gamepass when it comes to these console comparison videos! Gamepass is leagues ahead of Sonys offering for a subscription service, and the ease of access makes the Xbox a much more available gaming experience. With the Xbox series S (in terms of price and availability, Xbox all access (which almost always guarantees you a console, at a very cheap monthly price with no interest, if you can’t afford the console outright,) and with Gamepass (hundreds of amazing titles, and day one launches, for only 15 dollars a month,) Xbox makes it so easy to enter into next gen gaming at a very affordable level. I feel like by not mentioning Gamepass, I’d be doing a disservice when trying to help someone choose between which console to buy. I would be disappointed to buy a ps5 only to realize that I’m buying games at full price when I could play many of those same games on Xbox for free if I’m a Gamepass subscriber.
The best answer is if you can afford both then buy both. Tbh both are amazing consoles that have amazing games. Sony’s exclusives and Microsoft’s games pass are amazing features and you won’t be disappointed in either console purchase.

I believe youtube compresses the footage. Also, capture cards for many systems often record game play at lower specs. Not entirely sure, though.
I'd say sales for both consoles have been incredibly limited by stock issues, nobody seems to be able to get a hold of either.
Xbox also has a lot of smaller exclusives like Sable, The Ascent, Song of Iron, Moonglow Bay, Echo Generation and, for a while, Death's Door and I recommend checking out all of them at least for a little while
Majority of XSX are in scalpers garages. All you have to due is write a little code, create a shopping cart bot, and in a blink of eye you can have 20 Xbox’s in your cart, and immediately checkout before the average person can type in “Xbox” onto the retailers website. Then proceed to create a shitty eBay account and sell them for double the price. I don’t know how they combat this without requiring something like an ID photo at checkout. Who knows

Both consoles have their own advantages. PlayStation has the upper hand in its library of exclusive titles, while Xbox has the upper hand in extra features like Game Pass, backwards compatibility, quick resume, and play anywhere. Both can bring an awesome time, depending on what you prefer.
I have both. Just finally got the series x. Had my ps5 since launch. Quite frankly I only got the ps5 for exclusives like gran turismo. They're both great in their own ways but the x just feels better to play and less compromised. Microsoft made the closest thing we've ever gotten to a perfect console to me.

Whereas Sony has 15 hrs of walking simulators. The only great game ps has is god of war. And Wolverine is intresting. Hfw looks great graphically but still cross gen and is a bland game other than the machines.(Aloy is a shit character and the story of the games is subpar. Spiderman 2 will be a copy and paste of the old games with both spidermen in it.(No coop that to).

I actually have all 3 consoles, Xbox SX, PS5, Switch OLED. Xbox is my daily driver with game pass and will be very busy now that halo infinite is out, got the PS5 just for exclusives and to be a 4K disc player in bedroom, switch is mainly used for party games in living room and as an “airplane Skyrim player”. Xbox is hands down the best place to be with game pass even if you only have a series S, most of my friends have kids and didn’t want to shell out $400+ on a console and all got series S which was smart by Microsoft to make a budget console because I know a lot of people that bought it that just game causally like 2-4 games at max on the drive anyways.
and yet one year later you still can't buy one. But to be honest I've been primarily a Switch player for the last 4 years. I've hardly touched my ps4 pro. Cyberpunk was a nail on the coffin of dedicated console experience. all hype and no substance. there are only a few core home console experiences that I love. From Software titles being the main pull

I can live without my PlayStation 5 easier than my Xbox series x. Gamepass is kick ass right now. Quick resume is the best addition to any console in years so much if a game is available on both I get on Xbox just for that convenience. Most of my ps5 time is playing upgraded ps4 games that I never finished on ps4

I’ve had my PlayStation 5 since January and wow I’m so glad I got the chance to get one; the graphics to the controller and speed is amazing plus the back catalog of ps4 games and new ps5 games I’ve been enjoying. I’m truly excited for wolverine and Spider-Man 2 plus the 25+ exclusive games coming

Own both of these consoles and I love em both very much. Personally I play more on the ps5 because of the exclusives and because that's where my friends play, and xbox been playing it more recently because of Forza horizon 5 and halo infinite multiplayer. Yes game pass is amazing, and honestly have to disagree with u on the quick resume feature. It's something that is definitely welcoming but not a feature that I feel like I can't live without because honestly I don't really use it much I always end up closing all of my games but it's still a cool feature. This console generation sure is interesting with all of the delaying of games and what each console does better but ultimately, if your a fan of gaming either one will be a great option to get (assuming you can get it) but it's definitely looking up to be a great generation of gaming and I can't wait to see what's coming up next for Playstation and Xbox.
