You saw those 1987 Toyotas on the road until about ten years ago. KFC repurposed the Del-Vikings’ doowop classic “Come Go with Me” in the Chicken Littles ad. Very nice! The Elvira ad for Coors Light was on point. Incidentally, I was drinking that same beer while watching! The Gallo Wines Blush Chablis looked delish! Wish that American McDonalds’ still “tossed salads.” When I went to Japan in 2016, they had them there (plus amazing “Ebi” (shrimp) burgers).
I love that song from the movie "Hiding Out" that was playing....I think it was an instrumental part of the song "Catch Me I'm Falling" by Pretty Poison.
DAMN, that Bullseye BBQ Burger looks good. I'm now dying to pick up a Whopper, fry up some Bacon on and slather some Bullseye all over that shit!!!!!!!! These Commercials seem so ancient. I was Two months old when they aired.
I'm sure you could have one today at any Burger King. You'd just have to special order it. It's just a chicken sandwich bun with two hamburger patties, cheese, bacon, and bbq sauce. They still have all the same exact same ingredients for it nowadays. I think I may just give that a try.
@2:01 I have a tenner that says the same team who produced the "Ride, Pontiac, Ride" campaign also produced the 'Light up the Night' campaign for Michelob. @14:01 More Boomer love.... @10:30 Gosh, the 80's were so full of Americana! It's like the 60's never were.... @7:25 Subaru of Indiana? STILL OPEN!
Burger King-should bring that burger back in a"Impossible" version Columbo-rather unconventional episode Michelob Light-those two guitarists at 2:21 shouldve been in more bands Hiding Out-featured that dance club hit"Catch Me In Falling" Prince Of Darkness-to this day im still hoping JC will do a sequel Hertz-what if OJ had rented a white Bronco..
1:24 A free monster? In the long term, not that big of an incentive. Pretty funny though. 3:34 Sean Penn, huh? Was this the episode where he punched out Dana “Church Lady” Carvey? 9:44 This was during Whoopi’s low period. After “The Color Purple”, she later had about five critical bombs before “Ghost”. Ebert would constantly lament in reviews that movie studios had no idea what to do with her. 12:30 Another recognizable actor to which I can’t place the name. 14:40 I think I remember Elvira doing that “deja vu” line before. (geddit?) 16:40 How could they not be selling this anymore? I mean you’ve got chocolate on chocolate on chocolate on chocolate.
That Village Ford ad is one of the best local ads I've seen here for sure!
I miss the dine in experience, eating at Pizza Hut. Most of them now are delivery only.
And that was 10 months ago? Wow. Now nearly all pizza is delivery/pickup for the foreseeable future.
14:37 - I bet a lot of teen boys were happy when they came across this display. And I bet a lot of parents with young kids walked by a little faster.
10:14 - O.J.'s original slow speed chase caught on camera!
I love Elvira. The true mistress of the dark.
Michelob Light Lite Up the Night , so 1987 and I love it !

No lie, that Burger King Bullseye BBQ Burger looks delicious! Nice to see Elvira in this volume as the Halloween marathon continues!

ConvictedAshes got my mouth watering.
@@chrislang9442 Those Chicken Littles looked good as well. Had to go listen to that song by the Del Vikings afterwards.
It was good. I still remember getting it a few times when it came out.
@@storiedworlds6261 I seriously envy you.

I had a couple of those California Raisins from Hardee's.

With Soy Bacon?
Matt Le Blanc on the KFC commercial
9:15 That guy was in a bizarre gem of a movie called Hunk released the year these commercials were aired.
That Movie was pure 80's gold.....
Pretty sure that's Fred Gwynne doing the voice-over for Hardees.
20:04 “...They’ll believe me, citizen”
The hidden gym in this entire commercial block is the black guy bragging about his Reliable new Yugo for college🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why would you hide a gym?

Chris Lang I loved Whoopi’s movies after the Color Purple, just watched Jumping Jack Flash last week..
Oddly, Roger Ebert was one of the few critics who gave a good review to Fatal Beauty.
yusakug true, but I think it was both in “Burglar” and “Clara’s Heart” that he noted that her batting average was disappointing after “Color Purple”
Yugo, the absolute worst car ever made! It was cheap, but you got you money’s worth lol 😆
Lovejazz01 As the old joke used to go, you go… But the car stays right where it is
Ooooo Chocobliss & a Bullseye burger!🤪
That Nissan commercial was the worst.
Also, was the fat guy Paul Wilson AKA Paul Crapins from Cheers?
Jesus Christ, that Mervyn's song is like the worst Randy Newman song ever.
