Lots of movie commercials in this one...love it! And that Stroh's commercial, how terrified do you think that truck driver was when the dog was burying him?
"The Hidden" is a "B-Movie" masterpiece. And was the national confidence in candy bars so low that "Butterfinger" had to be "better," and "Baby Ruth" needed a "new" formula?
It would've been so cool to see U2 back in their prime and in their heyday. I saw them this year and they were awesome but it must've been quite a spectacle seeing them young.
+franzchick66 I'm not a *huge* fan but "The Joshua Tree" is obviously a classic album and the video for "Where The Streets Have No Name" on the rooftop in downtown L.A. is just spellbinding: th-cam.com/video/QQxl9EI9YBg/w-d-xo.html They were definitely at the top of the world in '87.
Pat Finn did a lot of v/o imaging for KRON during this era from 1985-1989/90 before he moved to KPNX 12 Phoenix and eventually a game show host. I can see why Claim to Fame was a great show though when it got cancelled, The Big Spin moved from KOFY to KRON. I wonder how long that lasted on KRON? But great high quality of the "DayBreak" promo and the famous KRON legal ID used from 1984-1989.
Everybody talks about Synthpop & Hip hop, and smooth jazz/Rnb for 80s music, but hardly anybody talks about all that throwback Rock n Roll! 😎
Another fantastic volume! Zebra ranches?! While I’m not a big U2 fan, I’d love to see the Pretenders live.
RIP Ric Ocasek.
Now I finally knew what Tone Loc meant when he said Alex from Stroh's in Funky Cold Medina!!!
Man, I'd love to see the entirety of this one.
Friday Night Videos. Was my go to before cable. 8 years old.
+Dan Saint I believe I can recall the first video I watched on FNV:
Rod Stewart's - Do Ya Think I'm Sexy
Loved this one!!!!
I am pretty sure I remember watching this show that night , I just came back from the football game and turned on the tv to this.
Good video for all the '87 movies!

"The Hidden" awsesome film!! An underrated film of the 80s

It was shortly after this date that U2 did an impromptu concert in SF and defaced a fountain. Ah good times.

+franzchick66 I would have liked to see them at Red Rock in '83.

The Hidden-loved that movie
That NBC show Mama's Boy..think it came and went pretty fast
Toyota and Ford commercials have not changed at all to this day in 2019..
Of course they have.
