Promo for "Saturday Night Live" (Due to the violent nature of many of the sketches this episode was never rebroadcast on NBC or in syndication and only re-aired in a truncated form on Comedy Central in the early 2000's. The punk group Fear was banned from the show after they trashed the studio during their second performance. It's also rumored that Donald Pleasence was banned as well after he showed up to the rehearsals drunk and demanded to work with Gilda Radner, who had left the show after the 1979-80 season)

59. "Halloween" End Credits
Ooh, this is the Halloween with the extra scenes at the beginning to help pad runtime.
I kinda forgot just how classic this commercial set is, so seeing this all in much clearer quality with some unshown ones from those breaks is really cool. :)
Love the Riunite ad and jingle! Can’t wait to pick some Lambrusco at Target!
I wonder what ever became of that Philly prison hostage situation.

Well now I REALLY want to see that SNL episode. A few years ago, Hulu had a subcategory on its SNL page for "Banned Host (or something like that)," but I don't think it was on it
The entire story of a banned SNL episode was news to me. How "violent" could the sketches have been?
13:36 Was Chevy Chase actually in that episode, or just making a cameo in that commercial?
17:08 This sounds like a “Music Man” reject.
Chevy Chase wasn't in the episode but John Belushi did make a small cameo appearance in one sketch, which was his last appearance on the show before his death in 1982.
I very much prefer Halloween II over the 2018 "sequel."
Nice Del Taco ad.
3:37 - Do people usually carry ice in their backpack to chill beverages?
I laughed out loud when that intense 'Looker' preview followed up with "rated PG". Oh god, you know this was 1981.
(And please, nobody tell me about the history of the PG-13 rating again.)
16:36 - Yikes, that mask! "Here's your nightmare for the next few years, sweetie! Enjoy!"
yusakug holy crap!
0:10 Time to annoy people with this: th-cam.com/video/nqKG2VtxN_o/w-d-xo.html
1:31 As I recall, a PG-rated thriller really wasn’t all that scary.
4:08 “None of these stick deodorants are made to stop wetness.”
I was waiting for him to respond, “Yeah, I can tell.”
6:14 I’ll take Elke Sommer to block, Peter.
"Looker" was originally rated R and was edited to get a PG (though it still contains some non-explicit female nudity). This was before the PG-13 rating existed and almost certainly would have received that rating if it had been around at the time.
I knew who that was in the McDonalds ad as soon as I saw him, being a fan of Sanford & Son! EEE-YYYYYYYESSSSSSSSSSSSSSS????????????????????? (I realize that was his catchphrase for everything he did but he made a few appearances during the series)
Regan and Reagan!
SAVE WITH THE LONGER RUNNING CAT now with an extra 10th life!
Looker-good film, would be crazy if that gun was made into an actual weapon
Soup Starter-commercial written by Dr Seuss
Flamingo Road-No she didnt die..she was in a wheelchair for half the season
Time Bandits-since the remake is still going to happen,Peter Dinklage for Randall please..
Born To Be Sold-Wonder Woman rescues kidnapped babies
Only When I Laugh-good use of what Tv Tropes refers to as a"Title Drop"
CHiPs- and they've just jumped the shark with this episode
Death Of A Centerfold-"He loves me so much..he would never hurt me.." or so she thought :(
